How would you suggest wiring it if you wanted all the sections lit up all the time? I am looking to use this as a track for a Christmas train and think it would look great lit constantly. Also, do you think it is possible to power it without a controller, i.e. a wall plug?
Hi Nate, to be lit all the time- the jumpers can be moved to the other set of terminals under the track. If you weren't running a train you could power the lights with a wall wart. These lights operate with very low voltage. They must have a voltage regulator built in because the track voltage doesn't affect the brightness
@@TooManyHobbiesJeremy I currently do not have a layout but I do set up for Christmas. I mostly have mth trains so I use the mth commander and real trax. Very simple. I was thinking have changing the track to the lighted fast track.
Cool! Depending on how handy you are you don't even need a power track for the Fastrack. The straight sections have small spade connectors on the underside. The lighted track has this covered up but it's easy to pull the cover off, make your connections and file a small notch for the wires. But using a terminal track does make things look a bit nicer. The lights inside draw power from the track itself. No special connections needed after you get the power hooked up.
I’ve never seen tracks like that before on a train set. That’s very cool 😎
That's I think the best Lionel invention yet! Whoever invented that had a really bright idea...........
Yes! Very illuminating 🤣

Interesting. Great video.
Thanks for watching it 😎
I think i would have them lit the whole time. Do they come in different colors? I need to get my train out as soon as we get the tree up
Multi colored. But the area 51 set had green lighted track.
Can u run you run mth DCS engines on it?
Yep! I run them mostly in conventional mode but I have run them in DCS mode using my remote commander without issues.

Awesome thank you. Any special connections you needed?
Tell me more - how do you currently hook up your power and run your engines? Conventional (moving throttle handle on transformer)?

I love fast track i want to make a fast track layout
It seems really sturdy. I certainly like it over tubular track for my yearly temporary layouts.
@TooManyHobbiesJeremy yes my layout on be temporary in till I have a permanent home
Very cool
I like this stuff more than I thought. Plus my wife and kids like it to - major bonus points when the fam likes it.
It's I've seen on michael jackson billie jean music video
How prototypical, NOT.
For sure 😎
