i'm tired of people dissing their new music, its still just as good as the old stuff, but just different!! and that doesn't make it bad. they have just evolved as a band and i personally think all their albums are amazing in their own way. that's what makes muse the greatest band ever!!
it’s my opinion that by trying to fold every influence they have under the sun into one band, they’ve stretched themselves too thin. At the end of the day, Muse is a rock band, and by trying to go in so many different directions at once it just gets messy. And now they can’t even write an exciting rock song. It really sucks, because they obviously had a knack for creating more than just rock music. They just went too far in too many different directions.
Before video: :D After Video: :o ... :0 ... :O Unbelievable. Muse are truly something else. That scream told everything about this performance, seriously.
Man, what I would've given to went to that concert. I've seen them live in 2010 and 2013 and it was awesome, but they aren't this frenetic, crazy and energy band anymore. I mean, just look at 4:58 and how they ended the song!! Chills me!! Fortunately they're turning back to this on their coming album, or at least Matt say so.
Well Matt still got his psycho moments here and there, like the way he end SS at Live Reading Festival 2017 (in front of his son lol). And also all that crazy energy came from negative emotions eating Matt from the inside at that time, so I'm glad he doesn't suffer that much nowdays. I prefer him alive and well rather then crazy and burnt out. As for "Drones", ut proved there's no point for them to go back, cause they're different people now (although Handler quickly became my fav song, it challenging SS all the time). And ST proved there's point to move forward (so many cool fresh songs with OOS vibes).
The audio sucks compared to what used to be posted. The audio sounds like it was recorded from out in the audience. The other video had the actual audio track from this. Was very clean.
Really great performance of this song - it actually makes a good opener! Earls Court 20th performance from the Absolution tour DVD is still my favourite though
Incredible. I don't care for The 2nd Law or The Resistance too much, but Muse are still one of the most remarkable bands alive -- this performance as proof. Does anybody know what song they played at the very end? It's an awesome riff.
Hahaha I love how Matt goes "AAAHAAHUUUAAAA!!!" instead of "I wish I could"
😂 Legit my favourite part of the whole vid haha
'eh close enough '
That final scream is the most impressive and powerful noise I've ever heard anyone make.
Bonbonne 👍👻

Serj Tankian : hold my *die*
If you enjoyed that then you should check out Linkin Park live in Texas. Chester bennington’s scream is godly in that performance
I guess the reason why it’s more impressive from Matt is that you don’t expect it.
Matt's scream man... HOLY SHIT! and people say that Muse is pop... Pure Rock N' Roll. Period.
they are barely pop though

4:59 Matt is fucking demon!
In almost every of this song performance Matt gets crazy, better than the studio version. MUSE has one of the best live performances ever!!!
Not anymore
@@guts9160 Factually untrue
music like this, live, real, just does not exist anymore. Thankyou Muse.
Yes it does... Not only is Muse still around, there are plenty of other great live bands.
what a naive thing to say lmao
2024 just found these guys, hooked for life every album start to finish is killer.

It's my first song of Muse .... Still make me feel the same. Sends shivers down my spine... I love it :D
still goosebumps... God damn it, my love to this band started with this scream. 11 years later, still the best band that I've ever heard.

"Turning back"
Haha no I wish. Drones was a self-parody
4 years old comment but ok lol
to be fair that SS outro was exceptionally energetic even for 1999-2004 standards Muse

This aged well, check out their latest song :D
They already wrote Psycho 11 years ago
Nope, just the riff.
They wrote the Psycho riff in 1999.
awesome!
Its 03050 not psycho
@@Adam-lm1eh thanks for this👏🏻
4:59 scares me but I love it :D
This is not just stockholm syndrome, this is an intro for their 6th album
Now we know why Matt’s amps have metal plating. It’s so he doesn’t break them at every concert.
Or to go with the stage set
@@collie1 well Matt has the world record for most guitars smashed in one tour for 2004, so that plating probably served a good purpose.
matt is a stage demon
fuck, this scream o.0 awesome

It was cool the FIRST time Matt did this 😊
But EVERY TIME? Nah.

@arosaooo Amazing how a simple change in outfit and hairstyle can completely change the overall impression someone gives off
I just LOVE how he projects his voice outward during the chorus alot more then he does during the studio version.
did anybody else notice that the guitar riff at 5:30 is the same as the riff that was later used in Psycho?
+Sander Visser its always been known as the psycho riff, they just decided to make it into a full song for the drones album.
every fan of muse before drones era will notice, xD
Holy fuck I would have lost my shit at 4:59
i think that the drums especially the drums sounds absolutely awesome in this gig :D
Fantastic , that's why i like MUSE no reason
best band live. ever. no arguing it.
This video and performance is so underrated
For me this is muse at the peak of their powers..!!!! Fucking phenomenal

By far best stockholm syndrome live version !
I wish Matt bellamy rediscovered his guitar virtuouso talents. Drones hinted at being back. More insane rifffs I need.
Richard Roberts I prefer hearing his piano a lot.
Drones sucked doe
