- Iland2 is finally over and i have to say i'm pretty satisfied with this lineup, especially considering my top picks (sarang, koko, saebi) all made it.
But there are so many things to discuss, from controversial debuts, to predictions about possible concepts and positions, so let's talk about it all in this video!

I am just in disbelief that we didnt lose jangshinz! I was preparing myself for that trio to split.. This is my favourite survival show lineup 🎉

As stayc’s producer and ceo said: it’s not a problem if you have a voice crack because that can happen to anyone at any time, you should only worry if you sing out of tune because that means you’re doing something wrong and you haven’t practiced enough

this. voice cracks doesn't make you a bad vocalist, even some "good" vocalists could crack, istg i hate when people act like it's a terrible flaw
but like Fuko is definitely a stronger vocalist than Sarang

Sarang ranked 5th in votings, it was the audience who would pick the debuting members, there was only 2 producers pick which was Mai and Saebi but even both of them would still be in the lineup even if everything was VOTE wise, since Fuko ranked 8th, she wouldn't debut no matter what.

Yuju and Fuko were my second and third picks, but realistically I knew they wouldn't make it so I was already mentally prepared. Anyway, hard agree on Sarang. Yes, her voice has cracked, and yes, favouritism was involved with the judges, but I don't think people should only look at her shortcomings instead of how many times she's done well. She's been in my lineup since the beginning and I've always recognised her potential. And as for Mai, she's never been in my lineup, but I do see why she's in the group. I think she can improve more in terms of skills but hating on her isn't okay. I'm so happy the giant babies all debuted together (especially my one-pick Jeemin!)

Heavily agree with Sarang, she voiced cracked once or twice and now she's untalented? 😭 She showed good vocals even before those voice cracks and nobody gave a shit but when she voice cracks they call her a bad singer. I'm glad someone noticed her star quality right from the very start.
she also ran out of breath a lot, but she is still a good singer overall and it is frustrating that people hear a voice crack and jump to that conclusion
i agree with the mai one, she is lacking a bit but she has improved ALOT (comparing to the begining). She worked over night and she focused on trying to adapt to something she wasnt used to. (Nasal voice , dance moves , etc.) She focuses on the small details some wouldnt notice, she really cares about overall looks and focuses on her BEST. She also brings good visuals / vibe to the group if tha makes sense.. alot of people stan groups for how the groups looks and then how good their music is, so she could bring in some fans. I get how some people are upset she debuted instead of fuko or yuju, but we cant control it. It could be that producers thought fuko couldve been overshadowed vocal wise (not that there cant be two/three good vocalist). 🤷
these haters are so pathetic because they be acting as if talent is the ONLY thing that matters, but i bet they also stan some idols just for their looks or just because they're funny, yet they hate on Mai for her lacking skills...
@@soft4taeng exactly 😭 80% of kpop stans come from visuals and not from skills, usually they get into the group from their overall looks and slowly start falling for their music or skills. people hating on mai because she has less skills then others doesnt make sense when half the idols they stan is because of their personality. (which is valid depending on how u put it.) skills are important but being captivating / intresting is also important for people who arent that big of stans or just casual listeners, and im sure mai could be able to do that. she has good looks and is compassionate. Having skills are important but just because she has less than othermembers doesnt mean shes horrible, just means there is more to learn.

I completely agree that Sarang is an all rounder. However, people do not recognize that Jungeun is also an all rounder who knows how to sing, rap, and dance. She came on as a dance position but was assigned most of the vocal parts and we were able to see her rap in the last episode
I think people tend to not recognize jungeun as an all rounder just because she is especially strong at one thing (singing) so her vocals usually end up getting more attention compared to her other skills. I have a feeling that once the group debuts, jungeun will mostly be utilized for her vocals instead of letting her showcase herself as an all rounder, just because she is one of the only members, along with jiyoon, that can sing really challenging songs, while there are other girls to take on dancing and rapping roles already, but still, i hope wake one will actually give us all rounder jungeun in the future.
While her having a very solid vocal abilities is a part of it, I think that the show not marketing her other abilities is also a huge factor. We didn't get to see praises about her dancing skills from the mentor even though she's one of the best dancer in the show.
I think this show for me is the worst in showcasing the talent of the trainees which is baffling because you would think that having fewer contestant to focus on (compared to other idol survival show)will definitely help. @@soft4taeng
yeah I felt Jungeun filled that position and instead they would be looking for another vocalist like Fuko
I liked Fuko, but I feel like Jungeun and Jiyoon have a "stronger impact", not that Fuko doesn't have that, she is super talented and she has a great voice, but in comparison to these 2, she is less impactful, this is my opinion.
I'm happy with this line up because all my favs have debuted, Jeemin, Jiyoon, Jungeun and Koko, except for one (which was Sujung).
For once I can say that I'm happy with a final line up. Plus all the members of the "Drama" team have debuted! (Mai, Jeemin, Jiyoon and Jungeun).
And ofc I'm happy for Sarang and Saebi too, I can't wait too see all the content with the girls!
About Fuko, I think she will debut one day, she is very talented, I think it is just a matter of time, just like it was for Jeemin.

Fuko would have actually create a harmony balancing the power of Jungeun's vocals and the emotions of Jiyoon's❤
So sad that Fuko didn't make it , but still satisfied with the lineup😊

Sarang might have had voice cracks but is still the 3rd best vocalist in izna😭 and out of the top 10 she would be the 5th after jungeun, jiyoon, fuko and gyuri

Yuju/Gyuri/Sarang are all similar level vocalists who can be ordered interchangeably.
I'm not surprised at Mai debuting this girl is so hardworking, had the best attitude, always prioritizing and helping others before her, never complained about her small parts and making them shine no matter how short they were; not having her as the unnie would've been a mistake ntm she had one of the best improvement throughout the show and is extremely reliable and positive
Im honestly really happy about this lineup because its so solid and stable, even though my one pick didnt make it (yuju). But I wholeheartedly agree that yall really need to stop. Yes, your favs might not have made it, but that is no reason to bully literal children over something they had no control over. If you dont like the lineup, then dont follow the group. Go and follow the post-iland activities of your favs instead.

You're right, people really need to learn to focus on things they're interested in instead of overthinking about what they dislike, if you hate the line up then fine, don't follow the group and go keep up with your faves.
Anyway, Yuju has always been a great contestant and i will definitely follow her in her future activities, she has so much potential and i hope she'll get to show all she's got in a future group or as a soloist 🤞

I feel like Mai is going to become the Bahiyyih/Hyewon of this group. She'll probably have less lines than the other members and is probably going to get a lot of hate for being the "Dozen" of the group.
Even though I think the eliminated girls probably deserved to debut more than her, she's not as untalented as some of you make her out to be and I wouldn't wish that amount of hate on anyone.
Not sure about that because Hyewon really didn't had any emotions or expressions on stage. She never really improved. Bahiyyih never was a solid performer but she did improved a bit. The thing about Mai is she's only a bad singer. She's a really good performer, like in "Rain on me" fancam?? And she improved her voice a lot in "Into the new world." I think, for now ppl are so mad that Fuko and Yuju didn't debut so they bully Mai as a punching bag, but if she's stable enough on their debut, ppl will forget about it and praise her. As long as she doesn't perform as Moka or Sakura, we're good.
And now, you can see Hiyyih isn't as criticized as before. People have no choice to get along with it especially if they improve.
@@OnceUBellieve When I make the comparison, I'm not really comparing their talents (I agree that Mai is definitely more talented than Hyewon). I'm comparing their treatment after debut. People are mad about their fave not making it, so they find someone that seems to be "undeserving" and take it all out on them (like what happened with Hyewon and Bahiyyih).

But I think, right now, yes Mai is unfortunately the victim because people are mad Fuko didn't make it, but what I was saying is, I don't think it will stay like that with the time. As Bahiyyih and Hyewon still received a lot of backlash even 2 years after their debut, I think Mai will not since, yes she's less talented than the other members of Izna, but the gap isn't as huge as Hyewon with other Iz*one members.
I really do like this lineup tbh i am gutted for fuko but im happy sarang got 5th cause im pretty confident she would not have been a producer pick and i think we'd be stuck with a 6 member group which is too low imo
to be honest I think they were planning on doing this 7 member group the whole time..like enhypen has 7 members, everyone knows that 6 members is an awkward number when it comes to choreo, and i feel like 7 members just made more sense? but yeah im happy for sarang too

I think the group is going to have an elegant yet powerful concept. It matches with IWALY and Fake It and I think the girls that they picked would fit it well. Your prediction makes sense as well, though.
I feel like Mnet is trying way too hard to create another IZ*ONE and it’s pissing me off so bad but like anyways Stan IZNA and Jeemin finally debuted after a year since R U Next 😭🙏🏾

Sarang literally has a strong one pick. Go and check polls. She always top 5 in one picks and her one pick is very strong in Indonesia and China💀 y’all should’ve voted for the eliminated trainees harder. They all placed 8th, 9th and 10th so they would’ve never debuted either way

Fr real all this poor Fuko energy but clearly we have some lier's out here, because if all these people were one picking her she would have at least been top 7. They all forgot about her and now complain that she didn't make it, like this is the most we have heard about Fuko in weeks from the public... not her fault but these people are actually so bitter because they didn't work hard enough

mai has been my bias since ep 1, and i agree that she just needs a little more practicd & then she’ll be good, she improved sm , am proud of her.
Same! She was my 1 pick from the beginning. I felt like she was a hidden gem that just needed to be polished up. I wasn’t sure if she would make the line up though and I’m so relieved she did! Glad the producers saw what we saw.

@@aisha1892 mai was a pd (producers pick) and i dont think fuko had enough votes if i recall correctly? bc the top 5 (jungeun,jeemin,jiyoon,sarang,koko) had the most votes & there was gonna be 1 producer pick, but if there was no producer pick, it would have be fuko instead of mai. (if all was by votes) bc fuko had the 6th highest votes & mai had the 7th highest

The performance that cemented sarang as my 1 pick was actually four walls she fucking ate that performance besides that one voice crack.
For people hating mai and sarang why they got selected and not fuko
first point sarang can fit both cute and lovely concept, girl crush concepts and many more. Fuko is really good but she never fitted in a more like ruthless girl types like all of them did
Second point, she has great vocals like really great vocals but there were already two main vocalists chosen by public votes do you think it would have been fair for fulo getting less lines and have you ever seen a group with three main vocals
Third, sarang is good at dancing, singing and in the last episode rapping also and you should blame yourself and public that they didn't see fuko potential that's why she got less votes so overall whose fault is it the fans or the producer.
There are always some members in groups who are not perfect like jungyeon, jeemin etc... A group is formed by all types of members that's why sarang and mai were chosen

7:47 seriously people act like Talent is the only important thing in Kpop. Um, visual is a whole ass position in Kpop and they are very often the most biased members of the groups as they most often also have magnetic personalities. Mai's job in the group will be variety content, modelling and having impactful small parts in the song, maybe if they want to beef up her resume she can get some rap training. Mai isn't a stand out vocalist, but in a group with Jiyoon and Jungeun she really doesn't have to be

Mai will be the leader. The moment they showed that scene where Mai observed and corrected Saebi's awkward posture in the choreo is a sign for mnet that they want her as the leader, and she'll be good at it
For all the people hating on sarang let me remind you when practicing jeemin also had so many voice cracks just because she pulled on the stage you are ignoring that than sarang also had no voice cracks while practicing, that's how common voice cracks are... If yoha re hating sarang on that then why dont you see jeemin struggles too...
I agree with everything you said, my one pick was Jungeun. Regarding Saebi and Mai specially, yes I was shocked for Mai but after knowing that the pd picks also happens to be rank 6&7 votes wise, I dont see why people are mad, it’s literally as if we had no pd pick and the 7 picks were entire based on votes. The group is a banger!
My predictions on the roles:
Jungeun: Main vocalist, Lead dancer, Rapper (an all rounder) and Leader (I prefer her over jiyoon as a leader)
Jeemin: Lead dancer, vocalist,FOTG,Center
Jiyoon: Main Vocalist
Koko: main rapper, main dancer
Sarang: Lead Vocalist, Main Dancer, rapper (another all rounder)
Mai: Dancer, rapper and Visual
Saebi: Lead Dancer, Vocalist, Center, Maknae
Yeah i can definitely see saebi and jungeun being lead dancers too, after all they are the all rounders along with sarang so i think they'll do a bit of everything. As for the pd picks, you're absolutely right, at the end of the day it's as if there had not been any pd pick considering mai and saebi would have debuted by public voting, so people getting mad and screaming about favoritism are getting tiring. Yes the judges have not been impartial during the show, but what's done is done, just get over it.

In my opinion , this is what I'll change :
1. I would put sarang as lead dancer. (I expect more bigger polished movements, better grasp of power, flexibility, footwork, good isolation and good overall balance in order to be a main dancer)
2. Jungeun can also potentially be a main dancer if she work on her upper body flexibility.
3. I would argue that saebi and mai needs to work more on their dancing skills so I would put them in vocal position for now.
4. I like the idea of jungeun being the leader but for some reason I kinda imagine Mai to also fit the role 😂

anyone who watched this live as a saebi fan deserves free therapy because those final few minutes were truly something
anyways I'm super happy with this lineup, my entire top 3 debuted and everyone who debuted was in my top 7 at one point or another. honestly I had a 6 member lineup in part 2 (due to mnet claiming the group would be 6) which consisted of jeemin, jungeun, saebi, jiyoon, koko, and fuko but if it was top 7 sarang would have been 7th so the final lineup was really close to my actual lineup!
Honestly, after all the bad names we've gotten from mnet (I'm still traumatized for EL7Z UP), izna is pretty tame imo. It is too similar to Iz*one and to me it sounds more like a stage name than a group name, but I feel like it could've been worse.
Edit: For some reason it just popped into my head that izna is an anagram of Nazi? Don't know how I'm going to ever unthink that....
I'm just happy we didn't get it like this "1zn/a" tbh. No number and no weird punctuation it's a win in my book
People did the same thing to OH YUNA when she had a voice crack and well yes shes not the best vocally, when she voice cracked she kept on going while her amazing dancing ability

i have watched so many of these shows, and honestly is the first time when i'm genuinely happy and excited for the group debut as a whole
i think that, regardless of the manupulation and favoritism, we as an audience has grown and learn about the industry and this type of shows to create a good and balance group with the producers
imo, you can see fuko in the last few eps were criticized with a ‘less growth’ ‘not really break out of her comfort zone’ by the pds so i have a thought in my mind she would not make it to the debut line if her imate votes cannot save her. and it turns out to be real 🥲 really unfortunate for her to be reviewed as so by the pds but this can be easily seen, especially in the 4 walls episode
i'm so glad sarang got into the final lineup. Just bcos of her voice crack doesn't mean she's a bad vocal. Her vocals are really pleasant to listen to and her facial expressions are always on point. She has shown that she can suit any concept from mic drop to into the new world. so it's understandable why she was in the lineup
THIS OPINION ATEEEEE. At the end of the day every contestant deserved their chance to debut as they all worked hard, nobody was truly robbed.
the positions i think fit best (imo):
1. jungeun - leader, main vocalist, lead dancer
2. jiyoon - main vocalist
3. jeemin - center. fotg, sub-vocalist
4. saebi - center, sub-vocalist
5. koko - main dancer, main rapper, sub-vocalist
6. sarang - lead dancer, lead rapper, lead vocalist
7. mai - sub-vocalist, visual
Despite Mai being my top pick, I do agree that she is still lacking. When the three candidates were announced, I was thrilled that Mai was chosen but I knew she wouldn't get picked against Fuko and Saebi, but she did. I was over the moon, sure, but the reason why I didn't think she'd get picked was precisely because she is lacking. I will not ignore her immense amount of work, fixing her nasal sound when she sang, working until late at night to perfect her skills, helping others fix their mistakes. She has grown so much, and while she still is missing some skills, I'm sure she'll make a great idol. Knowing her, she'll improve so much as izna progresses and she'll definitely be a great team member with her amount of discipline

The lineup is basically something I predicted, tbh I thought it would be Fuko over Mai, but I also have no problem seeing why Mai was chosen. Either way, the PD picks are the same as voters' picks, so there is no "controversy". On a side note, I have a slight problem with Saebi. The praise she received for her good facial expressions somehow harmed her. If you follow her performances after IWALY, you can see that she makes the same facial expression as she did in IWALY, and at some moments it looks comical, it's most noticeable in Fake it. I hope someone brings this up to her and she can work on it before people start making fun of her.
this is my second fav lineup from a survival show (iland 1 is my 1st fav). i feel like all of them are talented and they all suited each other
The sarang hate is so forced like yes she had voice crack like 2 times but so does ariana grande, its a normal thing. She has proven she can sing since the first episode.
And on top of that she isn’t just average singer but a good singer who can be a main vocal too.
And she is a main dancer material too and has the best stage presence.
Literally an all rounder.
Oh and she can rap too

Just like us we all have pick judges can like and pick someone too. Its not that serious. You that your fav is the best vocalist or rapper but for some it may not sound that beautiful thats why no survial show have only one judge. You can't blame someone juat because they don't share your thoughts 😅
Out of all the other survival shows I watched, this is the best lineup from a survival show that I have either seen. Although Fuko didnt debut, it was 95% perfect for me. ON THE LAST EPISODE I WAS PRAYING FOR ILANd 2 NOT TO PULL AN RU NEXT
izna (이즈나) is pronounced smthing like ijeuna/ijuna since the "z" sound doesnt really exist in korean. maybe you like it better(?).
but yeah i agree it is really similar to iz*one. the audacity to show that name in front of THE jo yuri 😭

SARANG : Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Lead Rapper, Visual
JUNGEUN : Main Vocalist, Rapper, Centre.
SAEBI : Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Vocalist, Maknae.
my top 6+Mai(Top 8) debut. Im still sad tho because i wanted it to be more 9 members so we could have yuju and fuko. I called jungeun was going to be first jeemin second and jiyoon third. I'm a prediction goddess.
Leader position candidates that I think of..
Jeemin - very mature and kind
Jiyoon - honest and reasonably stern
Jeongeun- fast on her feet and great skills
Mai - Hardworking
all of them are pushed so hard to be the leader
it was the rlly early hours of the morning when the final aired, so when Mai was chosen by the pds I threw my phone across the room and feel asleep 😭 I woke up later to find that they made saebi the 7th member. I was rlly lucky to get 1st pick (saebi) and 2nd pick (jiyoon) both in the final lineup.

i feel like fuko were meant to be in the line up but then when it came to chose between mai and her when she did not place 1-5 place with fan votes they were gonna pick mai as the japanese addition bc they love her visual and hard working attidude, but i think all of the girls put a good effort in to debuting, so im really sad about that fuko were not picked by producers bc she is a ready debuting star and so talaented and has also the good visulas and leader ship, but i will support both of them in the future! Fuko love you and mai
I think Fuko screwed herself when she didnt rise to the challenge of rapping.
I did want to see Jungeun rap but I was wondering why Fuko and Sarang were in rap positions when they were vocalists...I realized after it was because they knew Jungeun and Jiyoon were going to debut due to their high votes and they wanted to see who could fit in as a rapper since Yuju's votes were low. (I also dont think they ever seriously considered Yuju for the group.)
If Fuko showed she could rap or at least tried to take on the challenge, I think she might have been chosen by producers. But because she failed to do so, it showed she was too insecure and they decided not to debut her.

Yes, all the girl who got picked basically got in with voting so people shouldn’t really be mad if their picks didn’t get in but I don’t think y’all are understanding that if all people who made into the top 7 voting were gonna debut, then there was no need for the Pd picks. That’s what’s creating confusion cause there was really no point for them to announce Pd picks if it was just gonna be the ppl who made it to the top 7 cause they would’ve made it either way so it loses it’s purpose but maybe it’s because I’m new to this survival show thing cause it really doesn’t make sense to me. Y’all keep tryna dismiss people’s feelings by telling them that they should have voted harder(and they should’ve) but how do we know that their picks would’ve gotten in if they placed let’s say 7th? For all we know the producers could’ve picked someone over them regardless that’s how it works so regardless if people did vote for their picks and they made the producers could’ve discarded them, there’s really no telling. At the end of the day the group has already been picked and the most all of us can do is support either the groups or the girls who didn’t get in or both… let’s just hope none of the girls lose themselves after not being able to make it.
Ultimately there is no telling of what would have happened. I think the judges would have picked mai and saebi regardless of them ranking 6th and 7th, i don't think they took their rankings into consideration that much, they would have picked them anyway, it just so happened that they coincidentally ranked right behind the others . I think people voted as hard as they could for their picks, it's just that some girls had bigger followings, so i wouldn't really blame it on stans being lazy and not voting, because some girls just didn't have enough supporters. What bothers me about some stans whose picks didn't make it is that even if their disappointment is valid, they have no right to take it out on the girls that debuted or on their stans who worked hard to make them debut. It's always the same thing with every survival show and it's getting tiring.

Disregarding people’s feelings of disappointment by telling them that they should’ve voted harder is stupid considering the outcome would’ve probably been the same if they did vote harder. I agree that taking it out on the girls who have no part in this is definitely not right but I’m also not gonna say that stating your opinion that “redacted making it into the group doesn’t make sense” is wrong either. People can express their disappointment and criticism without hating which I’ve seen people do and also some people who don’t. I’m not surprised that people are furious or being disgusting considering this is how kpop stans are on a daily basis.

sarang is my number 1 since day 1. she’s just soo charming since first ep. she doubted herself and anxious about making mistake but she persevered. she doesn’t even complain when she gets least parts and just did her best and that’s admirable. her sincerity is shown throughout so il stick to her.
ever since the first episode of iland-2 Mai IMMEDIATELY grabbed my attention in the drama unit!!! I think she has A TON of talent and is way more than just a pretty face! The fact that everyone is so quick to call her a dozen when she barely got any lines like bffr?!?!?!? Girl ate in all her parts no matter how small they were and despite being in the back was able to grab my attention more than the ones in the front at times. I still think they edited Jungeun poorly in the second half knowing it would scare people into voting for her and not get complacent. Like I have watched enough survival shows were a sure thing didn't make it because everyone focused on voting for other trainee's they thought needed the votes more. Like she was center in the signal song, they were never gonna not want her in the line-up

I agree ! Fuko was in my top 6 pick but when you really think about it she doesn’t fit the yg/the black label vibe ! Fuko is more in my opinion a SM/HYBE vibe. She’s on the softer/ elegant side
For me, I didn't notice Sarang initially until she ended up in the top. So I assume it may be the same for others because it's only when she got to the top her voice started to crack, and I noticed her more.
There's not really much controversary compared to prior survival shows. I think the only thing that upset me is when they revealed Koko as #8 in the interim ranking. I think Japan started voting for Koko instead of Fuko, which resulted in Fuko no longer being part of the group. But that would be entirely MNET's fault.

jeemin is a bit center material (she’s not really stable tho and her breathing is bad) but wakeone (black labels) makes the first place the center and gives them a solo in the debut album so if jeemin comes out as our center it would be unfair.
Jungeun can also be a lead dancer, her moves are very sharp and she pays attention to details as well

i feel really bad for fuko though, i think many people expected her to be a pd pick and thought her debut was secured after her being credited as a lyricist in iwaly just for the producers to completely snob her and just jumble the rank 6 and 7 in voting as "pd picks". not that mad about the debut lineup though, i'm just happy that everyone really pushed jungeun to that debut spot because a talent like hers shouldn't be wasted! hopefully fuko will be able to find a better opportunity and debut really soon.
Tbh this was one of the first survival shows I watched that anyone could have been on that lineup and I won't have been mad. I would have loved for Fuko to debut but I really think that Fuko needs to be in a group where she is the main vocalist. If she debuted with izna she won't have been the main vocalist. All the other girls are talented, i don't know why people call mai a dozen because although she isnt the best vocalist, she isnt a below average vocalist and she is a good performer. Same with Sarang. Yuju was also very talented but I had a feeling she wasn't going to debut so I will support her in any group she decides to debut in if she decides to still be an idol. The only person I probably won't have wanted in the lineup is gyuri and not because she isn't talented but because she is 15 so that's pretty young.
As for the judges, I really was expecting them to pick fuko but when I heard thier reasons for choosing thier picks I kind of understood. Although Fuko my one pick didn't make it I'm not upset at the final lineup because all the girls are really talented.

The problem are the judges/mentors always putting the marketable level of these participants instead of the talent. The show has some actual good trainees who are definitely ready to debut. Its just that certain mentors/judges gets too blinded with having the "visual", "hardworking" & "cute" types when it comes to choosing the members for the group. There are participants in the show that actually showed good-decent vocal skills, is marketable & is also a decent dancer & performer but the mentors rely on dividing it instead of having the participants have it all or at least 2 of them. This is why the extra's & pd picks are frustrating to see. Just be "nice", look pretty & do the absolute bare minimun then you'll have the viewers empathy to make you win. I'm frustrated with how even the "fans" have such low standards.
Visuals are one of the important aspects if your being a celebrity or an idol. Alot of people got into a certain kpop group because of their visuals then after a while they will get to know the talents/skills the members have.

I feel mnet tried evil editing Jungeun halfway through the season, it was weird. Like showing how she forces her opinions on the team, or how she tried to take over leadership in that one episode(i forgot which one). I think thats why she got such a low score on the duet she had with Jiyoon. Pretty sure it back fired and why after that she took 1st in voting for the rest of the season. Either that or they tried reverse psychology on the viewers to get her more votes because the editing switched up after that.

yes so many idols have voice cracks and most of their fans laugh it off. none of em dont criticize them for it as it's perfectly normal but ofc this isnt the case with sarang cuz that was the only two mistakes she made throughout the whole show.
My unpopular Iland 2 opinion is that I didn’t get the hype about Jeemin at all. First I have not seen r u next, so I only assez her based on Iland 2. When I saw her first few performances I was shocked about her hype, because her vocals are very weak. I literally listened to her voice multiple times trying to figure out if I’m just hearing it wrong (I’m a singer and have been taking vocal lessons for a year, so I have a bit knowledge about vocals), because I saw nothing but praise for her. Her vocals are honestly not good enough for a debut as an idol yet. I also didn’t see her as a center until her money Performance, where she stood out for the first time for me and that was basically a solo stage made for her by the producers. In the first half there were many trainees with a better stage presence than her (for example Saebi, Juwon, Jungeun). She’s a decent dancer, but that’s not enough to cover up her lack in vocals and she was in my opinion after Mai the least skilled trainee in the finale.
I think thats why they added saebi. Aside from she has the most idol aura next to Jungeun. She is the most fit for center than Jeemin. I think wakeone or blacklable will put saebi as a center for most of their songs. That's why TEDDY put saebi and jeemin as center in their final performances. And during drip even Jeemin is center, my attention is with koko more even though shes not the center. I also don't get the hype for jeemin but she perform good in money. They said that jeemin is very versatile member but for me I don't think so. She's good in concept like money but in IWALY esp the OT10 ver. she actually didn't fit center, I prefer fuko center in IWALY. Her expressions are not giving and also lack of emotion. But I do hope wake1 or TBL will release song that will fit all of them.
Honestly, my only gripes were the pds picking Mai and Saebi. Mai is talented, don’t get me wrong, but the producers barely praised her the whole show and kept bringing up her nasal singing, which was so odd to me because Jungeun sings way more nasally than Mai but they never said anything about that. At the end of the day, yeah, Mai is pretty versatile when it comes to concepts so I kinda get it but it’s just odd they would’ve picked her after all negative criticism they kept throwing her way.
Now Saebi. I liked her in Panorama, she was the best out of all of them and I think she’s the one that carried that stage. However, she lost me after that. My issue with her is the same as Wony, trying to ALWAYS look pretty no matter what. Even when she was told she didn’t have to be pretty all the time on stage when practicing for Money she still performed in a pretty way. She got so much praise in IWALY for that one part where she looks one way and then the other as her arms moving across, but to me she looked like a crazy woman walking through a park. I don’t thing she’s versatile and I think they should’ve let her stay back. There’s a reason the people didn’t vote for her. Unless, the people did and they just did that whole thing to garner up some drama. Either way, she’s the only pick I don’t agree with at all.
