How to Make a Monster Walnut Cutting Board

I just ordered a new smoker,and I needed a monster cutting board to go along with it. We started with a piece of walnut and ran it through the table saw at 1 3/4”. After ripping the strips, I took it to the miter saw and cut strips into 21” pieces. Then over to the table for glue up. We used a @Titebond II glue that is good safe and clamped them using our @bessey clamps. We removed excess glue with a straw and waited for them to dry. Once dry, I removed the canola and headed to the @Jet planer, taking it to its final thickness. We will trim the ends to 20”, apply some cutting board oil, and prepared some amazing barbecue!!
