I see the progress! You're getting a lot better at hooking up after your slides. Try to keep your hand closer to your board and you should be able to roll away from those! 💪

Thank you. Yes, definitely feeling better with Coleman consistency to shutdown. Will continue to refine to get the hook up with tighter hand placement. 🤙

Nice to see you having fun!
Personally, I'm just so not built for rain-skating. Just last month, I sprained my left foot's ankle and metartarsal from sliding onto patchy pavement. My board shot out from under me, so I had to jump up into the air. Just my luck, I landed straight onto a metal manhole cover left foot first. Even now, my foot is still swollen. Luckily no fractures tho!
Anyways, those Nothing Serious boards look like they could use some narrow trucks. Perhaps you could try the 130mm Bears equipped with some narrow wheels on that deck?

Oh man, that’s a bummer. Hope you heal fast. Minor injuries can be such a nuisance and mentally draining. I’m still nursing my knee from being stupid (not warming up 🤦‍♂️) before attempting a jump start climb.
Yes, agree on the narrow trucks and will modify set up probably soon. Just wanted to try the Gullwings a bit for some experience.

Rain skating is something I only think about trying someday, but I don't even try because I'm afraid of maintaining the equipment.
I support it because it is said to be a great help in improving your skills.
You have quite a few boards. Isn’t it difficult because the feeling changes every time you ride it?
Even if I change the shoes I was wearing, I feel slight discomfort.

Rain was cool. This board is more just let’s see what I can do because historically - it’s a tough board brand for me. Yes, I do feel subtle changes and I think it’s helped in understanding my likes, dislikes and building eventual confidence vs fear. It’s taken this long to for me to see even experienced riders work through subtle instability and keep balance. Agree on the sneakers vs flatter shoes for road feel. Getting to appreciate dewedging, too and I do have a preferred set up…Owen Fox Prism board, Caliber 3 trucks 9 inch, split dewedge 5 front 10 back, 87/87 Venom hp and 93/93 back, and road specific wheels (w/ceramic bearings)-foot stop & torque block. Because I do tinker a lot, all my boards are well maintained, but this Owen Fox board set up will leave alone for awhile. I had good success with it several months ago on a home hill in CA; so much so I held a GoPro in my hand and did a slide at 25 mph vs helmet cam. Using that set up today as I go out for 2nd session on icy road with Hawgs that have better grip-in hopes of reducing icy wipeouts-minimal control.
