I was really inspired by this drama and did study hard and Thanks God I graduated as a Salutatorian of our Class. This is the best drama I have ever watched. Nothing compares to this. It's so wise, instructing, inspiring. It is about teenagers but the strength with which they overcome difficulties is so rare to see even in adults. The drama is special because it presents flawed people who struggle so much. People who fall. People who are forced to make choices. People without hope who learn to fight for themselves and for a place in this hard hard world. In this hard often too hard life. The drama does an excellent job in showing the process of strengthening up, of changing, of growing up. Kang Seok-Ho is a real teacher because he fights self-pity (which is SO easy to indulge in) and self-contempt with hard work - hard work not to obtain but as a means to show up for yourself, to prove that in this unpredictable and cruel world you can always - at least - act on yourself. Hard work as something that defines your personality and gives you the strength to stop surviving and start living. And maybe - maybe - toughening up is the only way in which we can help others and, hopefully, inspire them to change themselves, too. I am so moved. Good job to everyone who participated in the creation of this masterpiece. It's been 11 years but I relate to this more than any other drama that is being produced now. I wish I had come across it sooner.

Going back and rewatching old Korean drama it gives me nostalgia the hype when I used to buy DVD and watch with my siblings the sadness and happiness when current used to be cut off those days when we used to get up early just to watch dramas and old Korean drama’s cinematography makes me so I don’t know it hits home there’s little sense of feeling how it used to make me feel back those days🤧🙂

Yet, my father used to tell me stories that was told to him about our ancestral village in China which had a monument to one of its sons who had become an Emperor Scholar, i.e. came first in the old Imperial examination in China.
