I always thought of this song as a complete masterpiece of musical understanding and talent. When played in a band of 6 with every single note hit is breathtaking. But to hear the whole thing played on one guitar, with so many of the layers all picked up on a single instrument shows amazing mastery of the guitar and music. When you have listened all manner of versions of this song played by Iron Maiden thousands of times and can pick out every single tone, you understand that to perform this on a single instrument like this is utterly sensational.
Sign of the Cross is one of my favorite Maiden songs, and how neat to hear it performed on a nylon stringed guitar! You must feel such satisfaction at being able to learn and play songs like this, as you should, and the rest of us mortals get to enjoy the fruits of your work. Please keep up the great work; I just bought two of your albums and look forward to more!
I love this album and I'm glad Blaze sang on it. The mood of the album, even down to the artwork suited him perfectly. Sure Bruce is a better singer for Iron maiden, but this is Blaze's album and he desrves the credit for doing an outstanding job. Virtual XI is a different story.... Great job on this Thomas, it's beautiful.
Nice... for me its never a competition I just love the three Di Anno, Blaze and Bruce.. everyone has his own style and contributed very well to Maiden... I dont get the negativity of some people and blaming the artist's work. I enjoy a lot this music.

I can hear Blaze's impact all the way through to the newer albums and it was a great direction the band went in. Le fait est que oui, il y est arrivé. Et quelle réussite ! OK il y a quelques approximations sur la retranscription du jeu multi instrumental du groupe, et ce n'est pas facile de gérer trois guitares plus la basse de Steve Harris. Mais quel travail ! In my humble opinion, X-Factor is the best thing Iron Maiden have ever made. So gruesome, dark, atmospheric and conceptual. I want more stuff from "X-Factor", "Virtual-XI", "Judgement Day", or maybe even "Virus". 🤘🤘🤘
