I've hit a plateau for the last week. Started Feb 24th at 400lbs. Today at 334lbs. Hovered around this weight for a week. Would you suggest a Fast for a day, like a 18/6 fast. I've been watching some Ben Azadi also thats where i got the idea.
Hi! Thank you for watching. A daily 16/8hr fast or weekly 24hr fast can help break through any barriers you might be encountering. However, before incorporating fasting please make sure you are being consistent with your eating, sleep, and hydration before attempting a fast. I am 69 years old and have lost 73 lbs. since June of last year. I stopped losing in March (5 months now) and noticed I was losing a lot of hair. I got help from the doctor for the hair loss from a dermatologist. My PC said my body is stressed and is trying to catch up to my weight loss. I have about 20-25 more lbs. to lose before maintenance. I have a fatty liver and still have not lost my belly and gotten rid of this. How long does it normally take for your body to "catch up"? What would help me to start losing again? It is frustrating but I'll never give up. Thanks for your information.

Great tips. Is there a reason Noone seems to mention a plateau could be due to a weight is already low or too low already so your plateaus for months at a time?
Thank you! The "plateau" as most call them, refers to the barriers people encounter when trying to let go of excess weight. Our weight can seem to stall or hover around a certain spot due to a lack of significant change in our eating habits, behaviors, physical activity, stress levels, hormones, and more. If you are at your optimal weight and keeping healthy habits, it's normal for your weight to fluctuate in a range close to your optimal weight.

great information dr ashley!! what are your thoughts on allulose & monkfruit? does that negatively affect the body? if so, what do you recommend? ty 😊
Thank you for watching! Monk fruit, stevia, and allulose are good natural alternative sweeteners that don't elicit a blood glucose spike.
