But where were her parents in the support and discussions that go along with this. Cannot just blame the internet. Yes adults feeding into it with lack of education is wrong. As a parent of a transgender male, I can tell you it's not something taken lightly. At the age she was when she started feeling this way, that is a clue all in itself. Also. Statistically speaking...1% regret transitioning. And those that do, are because the child played into this notion that it was the "in thing" to do.

I'm neither Democrat or Republican....As a psychology major and now a qualified mental health worker I am pro human beings getting the help they need to be mentally well. Gender dysphoria is real. This young lady needed psychological help to deal with her needs. She didn't need a money hungry doctor to tell her that she's trans. This hurts my heart.

These professionals are doing it for academic clout. They want to be known as "the experts". It's a marketability ploy. Allow in some cases, encourage in most others. But bear in mind most medical professionals now aren't in it to help people anymore, it's a career path to wealth and prestige now much like practicing law or becoming a career politician. Also bear in mind the people "serving" society such as politicians, doctors, teachers ect are only as sick and wicked as the society they come from is. So if you really want someone to blame look no further than the moral degradation of American society that has happened over the last several generations. Children not taught humility, patience, fairness, compassion, forgiveness, hard work, responsibility and accountability will become rotten and rotten children make for great twisted and wicked adults. Some adults can change but if you want real change start with this next generation of young people, teach them the values the last several generations were deprived of.

Some of those surgeries included leg lengthening surgery, calf reduction surgery and forehead reduction surgery to give you an idea of how deep into it I was. And that was just the more unusual things on my list.
I couldn’t imagine if my self-hatred had been encouraged by society and I had been given the funds and told “You go girl!” Especially now that I’m starting to actually enjoy some of the things I wanted to change now that I’m becoming mentally healthier.
I have friends who are trans and their dysphoria didn’t just go away after transitioning; for one it actually got MUCH worse. I feel sorry for them because they are people who need mental health treatment but society has normalized letting them suffer. I don’t think transitioning should be 100% out of the question but it should definitely be the last resort. I nearly identified as a transgender guy myself when I was younger. It somewhat similar to what the girl in this documentary said, in that I was in a certain internet space, and I felt that because I was pretty in the middle when in gender area, then I was probably trans because I didn’t feel like a girl.
It wasn’t until after two or so weeks of serious reflection I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t a boy because I didn’t feel like a girl, I just didn’t care that I was a girl. That doesn’t mean I’m non-binary, it just means that being a girl doesn’t really affect me in any meaningful way, besides the knowledge of how to have kids in the future.

Helena, you probably won’t see this, but as a father of a grade-school age daughter, thank you so much for speaking out. We had to have a conversation recently when my daughter came to us claiming to be bisexual because she didn’t understand the difference between liking her friends (who are girls too) and being attracted to females. Her friends encouraged her to believe she was bisexual because they too were misguided by social media (which I don’t allow my daughter to participate in).
After speaking with my daughter and assuring her that even if later in life, she was attracted to the same or both genders, we would still love her just as much as if she were attracted to boys, she approached her friends and was able to change their perspective using the facts and evidence we endowed her with. She did this all of her own volition (even against my recommendation that she not say anything more about it) out of love for her friends and a desire to keep their minds from being poisoned.
I am ashamed of myself for telling her to keep quiet on the matter after seeing the positive influence she could exert. And will stand with her, you, and for the good of our children from now on. Thank you so much for all that you’re doing. And to Tucker, thank you for all you’re doing to expose this to preserve the truth and keep our kids safe.

This may be much the result of young people having way too much time on their hands (possibly due to the pandemic), less social interaction with normal friends and too much with anonymous strangers far away on the internet.
No, we need more adults (and professionals) telling them the truth BEFORE they go through this, that these feelings pre and post puberty in young adults (mainly women I guess) to some degree or another are normal.
It's a part of growing up. By no means is it your body or your mind telling you you're the wrong gender or and especially a call to go trans. It has nothing to do with trans or being the wrong gender,...No need to strap on a rainbow colored cape like a child and run around in public. It's a temporary thing.
Probably a natural anxiety instinct in the body's time clock preparing the young adult to get ready to leave the nest.
I know my last couple of years of high school I was ready to get out on my own out from under the parent's overseeing, but it would take a few more years.

My third daughter came out as bi at age 11. I never questioned her decision because I don't live in her skin, and never wanted her to feel like I was judging, or didn't accept her for who she said she was, but just 2 weeks ago she admitted that the only reason she said she was bi was because of the friend group she was in. She said that they made fun of the straight kids and she just wanted to belong, and she believes that they hate her now because she has stopped identifying as bi. It took COVID and not seeing these kids everyday to let her have some deep reflection. Well since that time two of her "closest" friends told her that they no longer wanted to be friends. When she asked why they said if they told her then she wouldn't learn her lesson, whatever the heck that's suppose to mean. Then 2 weeks prior to starting highschool this school year someone she grew up with, who also belongs to this friend group, accused my daughter of sexual assault on snap chat, telling other to not be friends with her, and that's when it got really bad. Not one person has asked my child if any of it's true, not one. They just went with it, and would tell others, who were unaware of the public lies on this girls account, not to be friends with her, and so far most have agreed. She literally has no true friends in her life and it breaks my heart. I'm pulling her from the highschool this next school year because the bullying has gotten so bad. Her life has been hell since these kids have turned their back on her. I really wish I would of done my job as a parent and dug deeper into why she was labeling herself this way. Maybe I could of helped correct a situation that is now out of control. I guess my point is, be parents, and not their friend. Then maybe we can stop the trend of young kids, especially young girls, from changing who they are just to be accepted by the "in" crowd.

All you want is them to be happy in life and suffer the least amount possible and be a better person in society and better parent than you. Every parent makes mistakes and if you can help to correct any mistakes your parents made on you making your offspring better for it you succeed. Your parents are the one's who should be guiding you on what you should be and how to manage the common psychological issues all young people experience. Unless, of course your parent is like a teacher or doctor that promotes the gender bender concept and authorized permanent surgical and medical interventions, that are so often found to be so psychologically damaging with regret and depression.
The high rate of depression and suicide is not from the ridicule from others, it's from within the now permanently damaged teen, who suddenly realizes what a horrible mistake this was.
What a sad feeling that must be, that your teachers and your doctors and maybe your parent too, didn't advise you that you might end up regretting taking their advice and now there is no going back easily.

This womans' message should be shown to more teens who are questioning their lives as either males or females. @@HenryGray7401 Sure I think we could show stories of trans people that transitioned for reasons that are legitimate to them (personally I don’t get it but I’m not ruling out that some people would have non external reasons for thinking the way they do) I think it would help with the confusion around the issue. Did you watch this clip for instance? The guest said she didn’t want to be cis because (people told her) that she was an oppressor and she wasn’t cool. Obviously those are external influences telling her things and they don’t even really make a lot of sense. I would love if there were a discussion that was like this is a reason to transition and this is not. I’m not really hearing that second part a lot these days though which I think was Helena’s point.

@@HenryGray7401 I just rewatched it. Another view for Tucker I suppose. I’m not really agreeing with your statement here. From Helena alone, she seems to have taken responsibility and was just outlining what others were saying to her while acknowledging her own motive. The parents aren’t even mentioned. I’m not getting blaming as the point of this conversation. I’m getting she is presenting a counter argument to the ideology of “transition everyone for all the reasons” that she feels is underrepresented (I happen to feel the same way doesn’t mean it’s true just that some people are ridiculously loud). When she sits with Tucker he makes a couple of statements that blame adult leaders which she doesn’t really refute so I suppose you could say he’s blaming others and she didn’t really challenge him that in the moment. But I don’t know I’ve been interviewed for news before and the questions are guided, and in the moment it’s hard to steer out of it.

No matter how much they shout, scream, beg or demand; no child should be given gender medication or allowed to transition until they are fully developed around 18-21. Hormones always play havoc during our childhood so allow nature to take its course and if they still want to transition as an adult, then so be it.

Encouraging a child to change their sexuality should be a crime, kids need to be kids. Let them grow up and become a responsible and an independent adult, then let them change whatever they want on their own dime. As a kid I wanted to be a Tank Operator, and Intergalactic pilot and later an Oceanographer, but by choice I become a design engineer once reality settle in; later in life a become a warrior and a family protector. I was never confused, I just evolved on my own time frame. Let them be KIDS.
