The CGI route for this anime looks actually really good. The colors really pop out, looks smooth, the OP is catchy, first ep I enjoyed and can’t wait for this fun and sad ride for the MC

Something else that's interesting is that the background characters are hand drawn, which is different from the 3D copy paste of generic background characters. Those things usually look really bad. These hand drawn people are interesting though.

A really fun OP! Do other shows have the main cast sing their own op often?
First time I’ve encountered this is with monogatari series. Every arc the op changes and is performed by the character who is the focus of the arc (one character is the exception to this) and there’s 20+ openings lol (all bangers, especially platinum disco)
