Good job! Top tip, Flip you naca duct for the quattro bevelbox cooling 180 degree in your alu belly plate. It is upside down now. ;) With nowing that, change the oil of that was well because its get realy hot in there even with correct airflow. The oil get fried next to the exhaust. Change the bevel bevelbox oil and haldex (quattro) diff and clutch+ filter fluid every 10k miles and you wont have anything to worry about.
Thanks for another brilliant instalment Chris. Did oil and filters on mine over the summer and also noted that the bevel box cooling duct was weirdly upside down on the aluminium pan, now rotated. Need to do the fuel filter as I'm sure like yours it hasn't been touched for a while. Look forward to the rear lower arm vid, as I'm planning to do mine after the winter. Was considering rear subframe off, and changing all the rear arms while getting the subframe blasted and coated. Good time to check under the subframe as that part of the bodyshell is made from steel, and the paint protection isn't great. Just a thin layer of modern e-coat which cracks from stone chips etc and then rust sets in unfortunately. Not sure why Audi didn't put proper underseal in that area during manufacture being the weakest area for corrosion. At least from the fuel tank forward the underside is aluminium so won't cause longterm issues from corrosion :). Keep up the great work 👍
Cheers mate appreciate the support 👍 good job on doing yours, not sure why anyone would need to take them off and then put on the wrong way lol.new rear arms and more are well worth doing if yours are crusty
I know right, like the effort to remove x4 bolts to put it on the wrong way. Maybe someone had an off day at the factory during production 😂 Yeah, pretty crusty
Nice one chris. I think one tip is fir your video titles probably put in "TTRS" rather than separately the TT and RS. Might be why it was difficult finding your channel searching on TH-cam before i found you on the Facebook group 😁. From my last comment about viewing a TTRS i think ive decided to hold off a few months and up my home security before changing to a nice car
Thanks mate👍🏻 more people have a tt than a ttrs so title reaches a bigger audience 👍 ttrs is a great car but can be expensive if you get a lemon so take your time and look at a few
@@CarChris82 ah makes sense. Thanks Chris. Think I'll just save up a couple more months so I have some security in my home and possibly now look at a porsche cayman. Seeing so much car theft out there I don't think I'll get a nice car now until I have good security
I have replaced the valve on my old red tt and it is straightforward and only 3 bolts, with the tts and ttrs it seems even easier as it located in the engine bay and not underneath like my old red one. Hope this helps
In the vid was not a cold start as I had it running to warm the oil up as I showed and said but the rs cold start isn't that long and only a few seconds which you can see in one of my short vids 👍🏻

Nice work as always Chris... Im going to change my rear arms + anti roll bar as mine have surface rust ... Painted them in the meantime.
@@IOWPCV cheers mate👍🏻 rear arms and roll bar should be on the next vid 😉
Great video as always mate

Hi Chris, I know it appears easy but have you ever replaced the diverter valve? Just wondered if this was worth doing, looking at changing mine.
I have replaced the valve on my old red tt and it is straightforward and only 3 bolts, with the tts and ttrs it seems even easier as it located in the engine bay and not underneath like my old red one. Hope this helps
@@CarChris82 Perfect thanks Chris I will get mine changed on the TTS, many thanks
Make sure you fit this version 06F145710G that's the part number
Odd cold start! My 2009 mk2 TTS go's to about 1200RPM and slowly down to 800RPM in about 60 seconds! I expected something of the sort on a RS!
In the vid was not a cold start as I had it running to warm the oil up as I showed and said but the rs cold start isn't that long and only a few seconds which you can see in one of my short vids 👍🏻
Is the TTRS for sale
Haha wasn't planning on selling it 🤔
@ if and when. Can you give us 1st refusal
