The reason revealing their abilities gives them a boost is because it’s a trade. They loose the element of surprise for a boost to their technique… its up to them to weigh those odds
No they explained that sorcerors can make themselves stronger using a binding vow For example nanami has a binding vow that limits his cursed energy but only during working hours, but he gets super high cursed energy when he is working overtime Explaining your technique is a binding vow that sorcerors can use to make their ability stronger
@@xblade11230 You're literally just saying the same thing as him. The binding vow works because of the trade of losing the element of surprise. You don't just get to have a binding vow for nothing. This binding vow is losing the element of surprise to make yourself stronger.
Mechamaru wasn't shaving off years of his life for his attacks. He saved up energy over years of his life, stockpiling it in a reservoire to use in his attacks. When he says he's using "a years worth", he's just using years as a standin for how much power he's putting into an attack. Like a unit of measurement.
After the negativity in the comments the last few reactions (I’ve been critical as well, but I promise it comes from a good place) let me say that I really enjoyed this weeks reaction!
About the megaphone thing, I actually do think there would be merit in getting more power if you’re telling several people about your technique in that way. Because the point is you’re revealing your technique even more. So the exchange is greater
This episode reminds me of a moment coming towards the end of the season that Nerdy will rant about based off his other anime reactions. This one will definitely be one of the more deserving ones for sure.
The positive vibes in this review were infectious! Very much enjoyed how you guys gave your honest criticisms but still kept it generally positive. It was a joy to see both of you guys laughing together and seemingly just having a good time 😊
Can't wait for the next ones JSJSJSJSJS They have some of my favorite scenes. Also right?? They should've definitely paid to go into the station, people these days, smh.
it happens with a lot of reactors and those types of details. we get a better grasp cause were can pour our focus into that. Reactors have to make commentary to be able to post these. And on top of that, they have other shows whose details they have to remember among other things, it gets hard to keep details in your head even if its obvious to us. You try having to talk over a show where youre focusing on reading subs and watching whats going on, you can only focus so much
@@cbassrbv66 yeah fr, plus they're watching like a dozen shows/movies at the same time. Much easier for fans who rewatch the same episodes over and over again

I would personnaly keep the element of suprise unless the technique is easy to figure out the I'll just reveal it

@@xblade11230 try explaining to Nerdy what a binding vow is and watch how quickly you enter the "too complicated/contrived" zone lol

I think he mention that it was powered by all of the years of cursed energy he’d stocked up

yeah the walls in the train station are gonna be tough to rebuild
Rip Mechamaru
Can’t wait to get to the meat of this arc
Don't worry... the stakes go crazy this season
"You do kinda have to keep the structural integrity of the train station up" certainly true, we wouldn’t want to risk that!

Its crazy to me that 2 seasons later, you guys still don’t understand why characters explain their techniques
