@@GameTailsTech I hope dlss 4.0 isn't exclusive to the rtx 50, it took me so long to be able to pay off my 4070, I don't want to change it so soon haha
Interesting to see them straight up remove the presets I'm guessing it allows them to focus on that one single preset, more efficient ressource management essentially More specialized presets would probably theoretically be better but it would require more effort and money to maintain to the same level of quality
But for what I’ve seen 3.7 preset c is actually the goat it has barely have any ghosting and feels way smoother in motion and somehow makes any game butter smooth. But 3.8 is good in case u have vram limited games
From my own testing - DLSS 3.8.1 is noticeably better in motion too! Image is much clearer, sharper, ghosting is lesser and in most moment visually unperceiveable.
looks like it's more sharper but it can cause more pixelated look still you have sharpening option on games which means you can just decrease the sharpness if you think it's too much sharp and for the games not have sharpening filter they are actually looks little bit softer than usual I think it can look little bit better with some sharpening affect which comes with dlss 3.8.1 but just a reminder if game looks little bit pixalated with dlss 3.8.1 it can be fixed with dlss 3.7.2 and presets removed from dlss 3.8.1 aside from preset E and F I think of them is pretty good and I probally gonna use 3.8.1 from now on
8:03 you can defenetly see more detail in the lives but i think 3.8 is maybe a bit overshapend but 3.7 is maybe a bit to soft at least in forbidden west not so much in alan wake 2
i noticed in nvidia control panel that they turned on image sharpening as default for cyberpunk 2077 so maybe they did it for other games with frame gen as well. i have alan woke 2 gonna take a look if they did the same here.
I can actually see the difference on youtube. So it must be good.
Yes, I believe Nvidia is preparing something for a major update in version 4.0.
Yeah, the fact we can see such a substantial improvement even through YT’s aggressive compression is crazy.

damn we got the PS5 Pro upgrade for free

It also reduces the size of the DLL. Why have a ton of presets when you’ve bested previous efforts + one more for DLAA?

I wonder how will that impact VR, DLSS in VR on ACC is horrible... I will test later on
Dlss the goat
Yes, DLSS has had very good results! waiting for 4.0
Yeah, to date no other method has come close. It does make me curious what 4.0 will bring.
@@RicochetForce Agreed, I can't wait to find out, maybe some sort of texture upscaling that can save VRAM

What presets were these tests done in?
Preset E
is it actually sharper or is there a sharpening filter applied in this video?
It's really sharper, just install the DLSS 3.8.10 DLL and open the game without any sharpening modifications
@GameTailsTech nice gonna test it

What about in motion?
It's good, I don't get any artifacts or visual bugs
If I remember correctly preset E is the second least prone to ghosting behind preset C which was the most aggressive at sample rejection.
@@gameguy301Preset c is the best still with no ghosting n no jittering but this is good if you are vram limited ,it’s close to c but still not there
Tem que adicionar a DLL no game, ou só atualizando o Driver da GPU ja basta?
Precisa adicionar a DLL no jogo manualmente para atualizar nos jogos

You can use DLSS Swapper to make things easier on yourself
thats preset E for ya
Blur in motion still present ?
Very less than before but still 3.7 preset c still better for blur in motion
@ttghhgg1918 dlss is very good at 4k but in 1440p DLAA plus frame generation is still the best option .
DLSS 4 for only RTX 50 series.
Yeah how do you know that ? Are you some sort of a psychic megamind ?
Really?? I thought it's for gtx 1050
dlss 4 will most likely be supported on rtx 20 series and up just like the previous dlss versions.
