just tried this on 6" pipe,3mm steel 150mm dia,work nice,add chimney to gas bootle wood burner,fast quick,looks good,like a pipe fitters job

This is nonsense; he doesn't demonstrate how the desired angle is established, so all he's doing is matching up a random angle to its mate. unless in a practical application.
Measure inside of pipe to your desired angle when you get your cut reference…
