@@jellofan1578 after that many times and that many iterations of the game how have you not found a solution for the problem you know you can jump as soon as you block the kick right then you get a free combo for most characters or at least anti-air
Old theme showed Ken as a pretty boy hot shot that played to win. This theme tells the story of a true hero that's going through a dark period, but with a fire that will never go out. It's terrific, really shows how Ken has matured over the years.
I can't say if he "matured", since his reaction to this situation feels very in-line with his character. He's still showing off and making quips in gameplay, but we know something's not right with his life in the story. There's great room for development here, and however the events of this game unfold, I feel like it will definetly change his character in significant ways for future street fighter games.

It sounds like the same spirit of his fire stayed burning and is burning even stronger now that he has to fight for himself and his family. It seems like something like this would cripple most people like Cody who took it rough when he got framed, but unlike Cody, it feels like Ken is looking at this as his new mission besides fighting with Ryu for himself to be a better fighter, thinking of this as fighting the circumstances of his situation for himself and his family to emerge a stronger man than he's ever been.

This version of Ken's theme is so much more angrier. I love it. I also love that Ryu's and Ken's mood have "switched" with Ken dealing with a darkness (whether internal or external) and Ryu enjoying himself a lot more than before.

It's just a total reversal. Now Ryu is at peace, and Ken is fighting his demons. So to speak.
The curse of a Foil. Ryu and Ken can only have so much common ground, when one succeeds, the other must fail, narratively speaking, else the line between them becomes blurred and it becomes harder to compare them to each other.

I like that you can kinda hear the determination in this theme reflecting Ken. Knowing he was framed for something he didn't do, he's trying to stay positive and be victorious.

I think that's the idea behind all of the old characters' themes. They've all got vague lemotifs of their old themes, and if you keep their old themes in mind as you listen to them, you can hear small bits and pieces of them in the new songs. This one uses what sounds like the same notes and a similar tempo, but in a completely different order.

Nostalgia's a hell of a drug, and it's a damn epidemic amongst gamers
In a lot of ways I feel like some of us can relate to Ken, that we lost our motivation for something, but you can still hear a little spark of what initially captivated us. For me. Street Fighter 5 was the game that ended my competitive run on most games. And now in Street Fighter 6, I really empathize with Ken on most levels especially on losing motivation. And honestly, this song makes me hype to try and relearn a series that got me into the competitive fighting game scene back in 2012.

within fights this song helps me too, when i get low on health after a huge lv3 combo the theme motivates me telling me i can make a comeback, and i have made a fair number of low hp comebacks
The title of the song itself defines Ken. He represents the heat in the fight and the tone of this music shows that despite what he is being accused in the storyline, Ken will not give up so long his fighting spirit remains
plus, the music themselves have the Underdog story making an coming back vibe..
that's when you're realize that despite being runaway criminal (being framed), He's still is the Ex Champion that hasn't lost his edge at all.

I love how this theme sounds far more humble compared to his other themes, again it’s beautiful to see all these characters go through transitional periods, and their theme reflects their current phase in their life.

I'm glad that they're good. Different means jack if they also suck, but thankfully that isn't the case so far. Luke's is literally the only one I never bothered listening to again, which coincidentally is the only theme that happens to be a reiteration of a previous theme.

Unlike Ryu's
The beginning gives off an air that Ken is going through a rough part of his life. He's older, disgraced, but still gotta fight. Then we hit 0:25 and it's almost like a flashback to what his life used to be like where he was a champion and on top of the world before going back to his current struggles. It goes back and forth with this idea until we hit 2:38 where the music almost tells him to keep fighting and being the hero he used to be. Nice musical storytelling

This really gives the vibe of "I've done this shit for too long, but not long enough", and it suits Ken perfectly, especially with his story in this game
While Ken’s old theme still makes you feel badass, pumps you up, and is hands down one of the best & most iconic character themes in not just Street Fighter but in all of video games, this new theme in my mind perfectly captures what Ken has now become due to the unfair situation he’s in. This new theme now emphasizes Ken’s exhaustion from being on the run & his sorrow that he may never see his family again but still keeps the upbeat, badass, determined aspect from his old theme in the hope that he can clear his name.

Agreed. Ken's track really takes me back to being a kid and loving games. I get people have a hard time hearing melodies sometimes, but I hear melodic themes in each and every one.

To me, I feel this song is really about perseverance. To believe that even if life has knocked you down a peg, it's still worth fighting and trying to overcome it and be a better person despite the hardships.

His main theme approaches at the last 40 seconds of this track. You have to listen really close. I miss his original theme. But I actually love this track, it’s modern with a splash of nostalgia. This specific comparison is funny since luke and jamie also have their own "ryu vs ken" thing going one with one being serious and the other being hotheaded and it also extends into their themes, with luke's being Taking Aim (implying he's a strategic kinda guy) and jamie's being Mr. Top Player (full of himself like young ken)

I'm impressed. This new theme for Ken definitely holds meaning, especially considering what he's going through now in Street Fighter VI....I love the *rock* feel of the track, how *solemn* it sounds (which fits the very hardships that now stare Ken in the face, and how he's going to destroy said hardships), and out of all the Street Fighter VI themes I've listened to so far, this one, by far....is the most *"Street Fighter-sounding"* one. It definitely gives me that *Street Fighter* energy compared to the rest, and as a whole, it really invokes the *"Spirit Of The Flame"* that Ken himself possesses. Whoever created this theme was and still is a genius. Perfect *10/10.*

And just to think at the start of this games announcement, people thought Ken wouldn't make it because Luke is too similar. But look at where we are now. He's finally in with a better looking character model than his SFV version, cool looking costume, and one of the best Ken's themes that I've heard probably ever.
And his game play looks really good, nearly has every tool the old kens had except roll and kara throw. The homage they did for his SF3 super is chefs kiss as well

I don’t know how to explain it but this one feels the most Street Fighter-ish of all the themes like I could see this being the main theme of the game itself. It just encapsulates the franchise in a way.
There's...a lot that's cool about this theme.
But what I want to mention the difference in tone between Ryu and Ken's themes between then and now
Ryu always had the more "serious" theme, signifying his journey to master his fighting style and overcome the Satsui no Hado. Ken on the other hand had the one that's much more Upbeat and exciting as he didn't have a need to follow such a journey. He was simply a rich young man who wanted to show off his fighting skills and how cool he is.
Now in StreetFighter 6, the roles are almost completely reversed. Ryu's new theme is now just as Upbeat and even a little bit funky since Ryu has finally reached the end of his journey and has a chance to look at the world in new eyes. Ken on the other hand? After the false accusations forced him to hide, leaving behind his company and his family, HE is now the one who is starting on a new journey, one to clear his name and reclaim the things that rightfully belong to him. As such, Ken's new theme is now the much slower, more serious song of the two.
All that and yet both songs still manage to fit their respective personalities.
Like, this Soundtrack is genuinely on a whole different level

One of the few new songs I've enjoyed so far, this one is about inspiration, redemption and fire... you can feel it in every beat of this song.

This is really one of those amazing themes where it tells a story based on it's audio alone. Out of all the themes this one really has a more "story" element to it. The beats and tone of the song completely tell the story about ken. He is in a desperate situation. He is not as energetic as he used to be but even through all the struggles he has gone through, he still has his determination "spirit of the flame" if you will from the past games still there. You can clearly see his spark still showing during 0:25. The upbeat tune shows his determination and energy rising up to protect his family at all costs. It's really a struggle ost. Whereas Ryu has finished his quest and conquered himself. Ken is still struggling to get things right. Absolute 10/10 ost

I love how each character theme in this game show the progression & phases of where they're at in their life. Ken is still on the run while fighting some opponents which i think is a really badass rendition to his development of his character

Ken's splash art here is interesting. It's very similar to his pose in IV, but there, he was smiling confidently in an easy-going fashion. Here, he still wears a cocky smirk, but just look at his exposed eye. There is a _rage_ bubbling just under the surface.
I dunno. To me it seems like his whole facial expression is just anger. The cocky smirk looks more like a grimace to me, or exertion from using his moves, a possible side effect of his age in SF6.
Sincerely I love this soundtrack. As a SF fighter since the SNES, I really love how Capcom has ventured in completely new themes and styles.
Ken's flaming fighting techniques have evolved so much his theme has to be fire as well.

The game been out for some months now and I still can't get over how good this theme is. It's like a struggle to maintain a image he once had and then it goes back down it's lows once it sounds like he almost has it

I have to say, this take on Ken is much better than the "She took the kids Ryu" direction we originally thought they were going. Like, a lot of stuff's happened and he's down on his luck, but this is still 100% Ken.
This theme is Ken's History without words. A World Warrior, Rival, Husband, and Father all rolled into a masterpiece of a theme and it even worked in his Classic Theme at the end.

SF6 Ken just helped consolidate my choice for the ancient question of Ryu or Ken, as previously I was very indecisive and swapped use between them a lot. As a kid I rocked with Ryu more, but nowadays, after revisiting 3rd Strike for a bit at the beginning of the year and specially now after the release of this game, I just love this hot-head so much.
