- Lagadia | The "hanging" village of Arcadia
Built on a steep slope of Mainalo, in lush vegetation, it seems to hang over the wild gorge formed by the river Tuthoa. Lagadia, the "hanging village of Arcadia", as it has long been called, is a natural and architectural masterpiece.
The picturesque mountain town of Lagadia, is located in the center of the Peloponnese and is amphitheatrically built on a steep green slope of Mainalo, which has a slope of 70 degrees. It is located at an altitude of 1000 meters and is 65 km from Tripoli.
Lagadia is divided into Pano and Kato Geitonia. Kato Mahalas is located in a verdant ravine that flows the Lagadian river, Tuthoa according to Pausanias, which is a tributary of Ladonas while Pano Mahalas stands out for its picturesqueness and the unique panoramic view it offers to the visitor.
Lagadia, probably, got its name from the four ravines that groove the area while there are stone cobbled streets that connect the 18 districts. From this morphology of the soil, Lagadia got their name.
The creation of the village of Lagadia is probable in the 13th and 15th century and according to one version the first inhabitants were the builders who built the castle of Akova during the Frankish rule. In antiquity, the road leading to Olympia, where the Olympic Games were held, passed through Lagadia.
Lagadia has a rich history while they led the way in the liberation struggle of Moria against the Turks. It is the homeland of the Deligianne family and many other fighters of 1821. The Deligianne family was one of the strongest and richest in the region, which pioneered the preparation and conduct of the Struggle against the Turks.
For many years, the family featured one of the two Moragiannis (= leader of Protestants) based in Tripoli, the Moragiannis Ioannis Deligiannis who was assassinated by the Turks in his house in 1816. Shortly after the fall of Tripoli, his son also died. of Theodorakis from the tortures he suffered in prison.
Other notable men of the same family are the warlord Kanellos Deligiannis who later served as Speaker of Parliament.
Lagadia is also the birthplace of two prime ministers of the Greek state, Theodoros P. Deligiannis who was assassinated in 1905 outside the Parliament and Nikolaos P. Deligiannis who held the parliamentary elections of 1895.
An important role in the liberation struggle of 1821 was played by Thanasis Kintzios in the battle of Grana, the hero of the Trikorfos Papastathoulis, Ioannis Theofilopoulos or Tsakalogiannis or Karavogiannis who was a close collaborator of Papanikolis and Kanaris as well as many others.
In the center of the village there is a Hero, dedicated to the memory of the fallen Lagadins who participated in the National Games.
At the same time, Lagadia is the homeland of the Lagadian craftsmen, who were stone craftsmen. The Lagadian builders adorned, with their magnificent stone architectures, Arcadia, the Peloponnese and many areas of all Greece. Some of their masterpieces are churches, bridges, stone mansions, two-storey and three-storey houses, watermills, courtyards, etc.
Lagadia is considered a stone work of art surrounded by an impressive landscape with running water, walnuts, plane trees and picturesque cobbled streets. In the main square of the village which is located on the edge of the ravine and is surrounded by age-old plane trees, you will find traditional cafes, restaurants and taverns where you can enjoy your coffee or food and spend moments of rest and relaxation.
The stone village of Lagadia, is a modern and ideal holiday destination that has excellent tourist infrastructure with hotels, hostels and rooms for rent as well as plenty of options for entertainment and various activities.

Άρα ο χαιρετισμός καθυστέρησε.
Ευτυχισμένο το νέο έτος. Ανυπομονώ να έχω μια καλή σχέση μαζί σου και φέτος.
Λοιπόν, τα πλάνα σας ήταν για άλλη μια φορά γεμάτα ομορφιά.
Όταν το βίντεο άλλαξε από τον ουρανό στο δρόμο, η καρδιά μου αναπήδησε.
Θα ήθελα πραγματικά να πάω εκεί και να ρίξω μια ματιά σε πολλά καταστήματα.
Το ίδιο χρώμα της οροφής του κτιρίου βελτιώνει το τοπίο. Νομίζω ότι είναι πολύ καλό. Ένα όμορφο θέαμα που δεν βρέθηκε στην Ιαπωνία.
Υπάρχουν διατάγματα που δεν επιτρέπουν την αλλαγή του χρώματος της στέγης;
