I have read about the Qantas at Istanbul Airport. This is not a regular flight. There was a passenger who had an heart attack. Therefore the machine has landed on the way to London in Istanbul as an emergency
Never thought I’d see a Qantas aircraft in one of your reports. It was a repatriation flight as per pp. Turkish airlines looks excellent, and I hope that they do fly to Australia post-Covid. They have been proposing it for at least 5 years now.

They are not European even if they say Istanbul is part of the European continent. Only that city. They are not either as country part of the European Union. Yes, that they give a good service in general in TK that is true
I flew Turkish Airlines in 2019 when I went to Greece, with a layover in Istanbul...great airlines! The Istanbul airport is huge! A little more complex then as I had to go through security three times before boarding my connecting flight to Athens. Looking forward to the next video!
For me there were two special things in this video: The parallel landing (happened just once in my life, but the other plane was a B747) And the door of the MAX, great shot by the way. A little strange position of the galley trolleys, because most of the time they are on the opposite side of the entry door.

There are actually two very good spots at Malta airport for plane spotting. One of the spot, which can be accessed prior to check-in and security, is the upper deck from which you can get a good view of parked aircrafts and the runway. After check-in, you could walk till the end of the gate area, where you can find a "balcony" with tables and people dining or smoking. From there, you could also get quite a decent view of the airport and the runway!
I have been to Malta four times. Corfu airport is fantastic for plane spotting, especially at the end of the runway. Beautiful scenery by the runway. I have never flown with Turkish airlines, but hopefully I will soon. Great video. 👍😊🛫✈️

Excellent review, they are truly a great airline. For your information, the breakfast you had is called Börek, a traditional Turkish pastry usually with cheese and spinach.

I flew with Turkish across the Mediterranean a few weeks ago and made a flight report too !!!! Great Service, great aircraft and great food. Nice report btw !!!!!
Fantatsic trip report mate and the meal and Hygiene pack was a nice touch too. What made me laugh though was when you went past loads of empty jetways only to park up remote and have to get a bus to the terminal ??? IST looks like a proper MEGA airport. When you noticed that the plane on the screen was an A321 did you also notice that the safety instructions was for the 737-800 and not the MAX, you would of thought they would have one specifiaccly for the MAX ??

I saw that the safety instructions didn't say it was a MAX, yes. While the plane on the screen can be just that they want to use the same software on the Airbuses and Boeing's, the safety card thing I found it intentional. Cheers! :)

Excellent video once again! Unfortunately my plans of flying with Turkish got cancelled this year so I've rebooted for next March, hopefully I'll be flying on the MAX and 777 🤞 I can't believe how quiet & large the engines are!
What you ate looks like oven-baked pasta with cheese and beschamel on top, cut in pieces..(In Greece we call it pasticcio) Unless it was borek with cheese , that is cheesepie which we also make in Greece

Excelente video. El aeropuerto de Istambul es nueva y está empezando a funcionar. La linea aerea Turkish Airlines si tiene conexión con Panamá pero pasando por la Ciudad de Bogotá en Colombia. Para ser un aeropuerto internacional, el de Malta parece ser más bien un aeropuerto para uso regional, es una pena que no se pueda tener al menos un mirador para poder observar los aviones mientras se espera la salida o el aterrizaje de los vuelos programados. El 737 MAX me parece un avión hermoso y particularmente la forma en que colocaron sus motores CFM 1B-Leap tan adelantados con respecto al ala que le da un encanto especial, y Turkish lo configuró como un avión americano a mi parecer, y el servicio a bordo ni hablar, por algo se tiene bien merecido el título de la mejor aerolínea de europa, excelente vuelo y saludos desde Venezuela

Perhaps the food or just the silverware is the only good thing, but Turkish Airlines is really bad with customer services. Stuff is uneducated, not trained, not capable of speaking decent English and rude if there is a problem and you insist on solution. Customer service is done through "Feedback" procedure which is basically email reply that can take 48 hours while you are stuck at the airport. So, practically Turkish airline can not produce any solution through phone calls. So, disgusting. You are only able to see the real face of Turkish Airlines when a problem occurs. If anything goes wrong at your flight, you simply pay for it. Character and Quality of Turkish Airlines company are just disgusting.
Yo he volado en uno de los nuevos Boeing 737 Max 8 de Malta Air(Ryanair) y me ha encantado al tener el Sky Interior, he tenido una muy buena experiencia viajando en dicho avión aparte de ser silencioso como el 787.
I think, that you had easy connection just because of you flew from EU/Schengen. When I had connection and flew from Montenegro, Russia and UAE, I had security control. Istanbul airport is cool, but it has free Wi-Fi only for 30 minutes. Paid Wi-Fi is like a joke in 2021.
Yep, it might be because of that. I didn't try WiFi at Istanbul airport. I decided to stay unconnected from the world for that day. It was very healthy for my mind I would say haha Cheers! :)

Why did they use a remote stand with all of those empty gates. Those should be a rarety with reduced operations. Pretty much any QF aircraft outside of Australia right now, espessilly doing to Darwin is a repatriation flight. That is where the required re entry quarantining is taking place.

@@OnBoardHD by the way, there is actually a viewing terrace to see aircrafts at MLA, but it's not for people who are travelling. Living in Malta, I went to that terrace to see the Airshow a few years back. And that port you've seen is the Malta Freeport. The main passenger port is in Valletta

Customer service is done through "Feedback" procedure which is basically email reply that can take 48 hours while you are stuck at the airport. So, practically Turkish airline can not produce any solution through phone calls. So, disgusting.
You are only able to see the real face of Turkish Airlines when a problem occurs. If anything goes wrong at your flight, you simply pay for it.
Character and Quality of Turkish Airlines company are just disgusting.

Yo he volado en uno de los nuevos Boeing 737 Max 8 de Malta Air(Ryanair) y me ha encantado al tener el Sky Interior, he tenido una muy buena experiencia viajando en dicho avión aparte de ser silencioso como el 787.
Espero poder probar los MAX de RYR, BUZZ y Malta Air muy pronto! :))

I think, that you had easy connection just because of you flew from EU/Schengen. When I had connection and flew from Montenegro, Russia and UAE, I had security control. Istanbul airport is cool, but it has free Wi-Fi only for 30 minutes. Paid Wi-Fi is like a joke in 2021.

I didn't try WiFi at Istanbul airport. I decided to stay unconnected from the world for that day. It was very healthy for my mind I would say haha

About the airport: yes Istanbul's new airport is very nice but bad because you need to walk 15 minutes or less till you get to the gate

Es verdad, la atencion y el catering en Turkish es excelente, vole dos veces desde Buenos Aires a Istanbul (escala en Sao Paulo) y el servicio es de primera , solo que lo hice al viejo aeropuerto Ataturk, este no lo conozco, gracias por el video excelente como todos los que subes , un gran saludo desde Argentina

Why did they use a remote stand with all of those empty gates. Those should be a rarety with reduced operations. Pretty much any QF aircraft outside of Australia right now, espessilly doing to Darwin is a repatriation flight. That is where the required re entry quarantining is taking place.
Probably because that plane was not flyign again that day, so they left it on a remote stand. :)

@@OnBoardHD by the way, there is actually a viewing terrace to see aircrafts at MLA, but it's not for people who are travelling. Living in Malta, I went to that terrace to see the Airshow a few years back. And that port you've seen is the Malta Freeport. The main passenger port is in Valletta
