Its a real shame STD doesnt have the recognition they deserve nowadays, they are so underrated, but we the true fans are so lucky to still have them around. Thank you guys :)
I was fortunate enough to catch them live once in my life. Haha
Oh and meet them too! :D
They've been around for a long long time! They were much bigger in the 2000 era
I saw them in their Stay What You Are era with Taking Back Sunday in 2002 - it was magical. What an amazing band. Chris doesn't realize how gifted he is as a singer. So underrated!!!
When they first came out their stuff was much much better. Like all bands they’ve fallen off the train.
Increible sesion. El sonido es excelente, calidad de estudio!
I became a huge fan since I saw them live in 2011. Love them now!
1 of fav band ever
I remember when I saw them one time, then I got to talk to them, then I had a sleep over with them. This was way before they were famous.
Love them!!!!! Escucharlos con audífonos me hace volar 😁
Same here. Desde Costa Rica, pura vida! 🇨🇷
i'm so glad i was introduced to this band back in high school.
Not the only one friend, it was 2001... I miss those days
It was 2005 for me!! One of my first favorite bands
I met him a long time ago and he was such a nice guy!!!
met Chris in August, a great dude. So humble and down to earth!
I saw them in 2003 on the in reverie tour and after the show me and a buddy of mine stood outside the 9:30 Club in DC and talk to Chris probably for about a half an hour. He is a chill down to earth dude. Definitely didn't seem like he just came off stage.
love you guys! MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BAND. sHitty Beatles but improvedd
I’m a new fan but Saves the Day is one of my favorites for sure.
Welcome to the fandom! Your only mission now, should you choose to accept it, is get Ups and Downs and start collecting Bug Sessions releases! lolol
jakeJUSTICE666 thank you for the suggestion I’m listening right now.
Awesome. Glad you discovered them.
@@ForeignRHM Stay What You Are is a GREAT album. Possibly a Top 10 for me all time. If not in general, definitely for nostalgia!
I'm a Diehard Saves fan, anything Chris Touches I normally love, but I've never really felt the self titled album and I never really understood why. For the record I'm not one of the Fans that swears by the first two/three albums, I think In Reverie is a masterpiece, I think the trilogy is amazing too, especially Daybreak, another masterpiece. So I was at the point where when I didn't really dig the new saves album I thought there was something wrong with ME and not the album, and I was right. It was because I didn't see any of the songs live in any capacity, this changed my mind completely on the self titled album/// holy shit, I also understand now why Chris says that Rodrigo, Arun, and Dennis are truly part of what makes STD what they are today, I'm excited for the new album more than ever now, and am stoked to re listen to self titled with a new perspective \M/
Great comment my man
I loved the first 3.5 albums and was even more awestruck when In Reverie came out but I kind of fell off after that. I'm finally getting back to them and am gonna give the rest a listen
Ian Dallier amen brother 🙏
I'm so curious what you think of their new album, "9." Have you listened yet?
@@andyrose thought it was worse than covid
Totally agree. Hearing the self-titled stuff live does help, but it's just not STD for me. I like the trilogy, especially Daybreak - I can just sit and listen to the whole deluxe version with 2 bonus tracks and the full album acoustic. The tone of the self-titled album is positive, which is good for Chris since he must have been in a better headspace, but not so good for the music maybe? I watched an hour+ live set of (hate5six) theirs for 2019 and they seemed to play exclusively old material, even stuff from their demo/ Ups & Downs. Maybe one track from the self-titled and zero stuff from In Reverie. And I was fine with it except for the lack of Daybreak and In Reverie tracks, honestly.
Chris looks sick or tired or both. Thanks for toughing it out, Chris, so we could all hear this HiFi live performance. Sounds great.
ANYWHERE WITH YOU SOUNDS HUGE
saves the day, brand new, sunny day real estate and something corporate four of my favorites in the emo punk genre
the interviewer seems so out of touch. asking questions about school without realizing half the members of the band now weren't even around during the school days when they were first slinging music
So much cringe.
What is the cymbal setup
the real music writers right here
Arun is a genius. He brought such a better element to the band. More 3D now
And just like that, I am young again.
You ask the weirdest questions ever. I guess that's part of this rad little series' charm!
they sound killer
i love you audiotree. i love this album, and i love you chris. this comment is sponsored by nostalgia and rum.
I love the cryptic shittalk about the I.E.M mix. hahaha.
jerseys second best dancers
kris murphy ha
6th best
What song is at 24:50?
Anywhere with you.
Pioneers of emo punk genre, beautiful)
You can thank Lifetime for their emo pop punk influence for sure
And you are 18 years old.
They’re a great band but they were in the 2nd wave of emo if you want to get technical. Pioneers of the sound would be bands like Rites of Spring and fellow DC post hardcore bands of the mid to late 80s. STD were just lil babies then.
not emo
Really... anywhere with you was the oldest song they played??
i thought this is the new video :(
haha me too 😹
They do the tree limb and the poles with the nick cage head so their friends can find them. Also looks funny In playback seeing Chris Farley and the lot.
Love the Jay Maas drop. He mixed my band's album, and I love it. But it is not very bassy
Super nova gives me chills
has a thursday-standing on the edge of summer vibe
In Reverie album is more my thing of them, for my taste Anywhere with you kill the other 4 songs
then you a sucka then
orbital family is the new band name
Their musical style is great and tolerable compared to other emo bands out there
how the fuck did his jaw stay on
dude looks like stephen amell
They seriously couldn't play ONE old song for this
Paul Tri the old stuff SUCKS. I don’t understand what people hear in those songs
Xenophobic whatever song is sooo David Bowie
Chris must not have been 100%, didn't seem interested in talking to much.
This. Is. Not. Saves. The. Day. Where's Dave, and eben, and the other dude....ugh Chris shouldn't have continued on with the band.
Well Sean's gone too shit
MyNineRides Shotgun I miss Dave so much. You have been able to notice his absence even in their sound. His tone and his writing were incredible.
