Brembo brake discs & pads fitted | Fiat Barchetta | Induction heater | Dangerous old brakes removed

- These brakes need some work! So in this episode I remove the old dangerous brakes and fit new Brembo brake discs & pads to the Fiat Barchetta. When I bought the car it had been sat unused for a year or more and was not well maintained. Not good! Also, the tie rod ends are replaced as the rubber bushing is worn. Also, the brake calipers are given a new lick of paint.
An induction heater tool is used to remove a rusty tie rod nut that's stuck! It's not a bolt buster but a cheaper alternative. It's amazing!
As a beginner, this is the first time I've worked on the brakes and steering and there were a few surprises along the way. Other than a couple of stubborn nuts it was fairly straightforward. I hope this encourages you to give it a go yourself.

Hi, is it necessary to put thread locker on bolts securing caliper holder? And it's definitely not necessary, to put it on disk bolts. Disc is holded by wheel bolts. If your socket stucks on a bolt head, you can twist it litle bit in reverse direction (like if you want to loose it) and it goes of, you don't need a hammer. Nice video, thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I wasn't sure so I put thread lock on anyway just in case! Tried a few ways to get the socket off, they didn't make it into the video!
what torque setting did you use for the caliper bolts?
105mm for the back of the caliper and 28nm for the guide pins
Hey it looks like the break pad you bought new fits to my caliper, and that i bought the pads your caliper needed, did you send back the pads that didnt fit yours ?

In the last ITV it failed on the emissions (see the service video). It passed re-inspection. Maybe the fuel additive helped as well??
