I have to say that I have been to Werribee Mansion and that was probably 35yrs ago and Werribee Zoo was not much then. Love what you have done with the place it looks great and cannot wait to get there with my grand daughter. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Wow. This zoo is night and day compared to my local zoo. Local zoo is like a concrete prison for animals, and almost all of them exhibit confinement-stress; pacing, circling, head-bobbing, etc. This zoo actually tries really hard to make the habitats large & much more natural. They even encourage big cats to have natural cat behavior, and spare ponds for the hippos? Unbelievable. And the animals have places they can hide so they're not on constant display with no privacy? I'm just shocked. If zoos are going to continue to be legal then they should all be like this one.
