Go to file, settings, display options, force units and change the unit of BM there

See, it depends from company to company, Kuch companies apke experience ya apke interview ke wakt ke knowledge ko dek kar usse impress ho jae to uske lie certificate value nahi rakhte hai, par kuch companies ye prefer karti hai ke wo jis insan ko apni company me le rahi hai wo person well educated and professional ho, or uske lie certificates, memberships leni jarori hai.
My view, Yes certificates are needed. Not needed everywhere but be on safe side.

Make sure you have chosen correct value for Bending Direction
