Wow! There are so many Do's, Don'ts, and steps now that weren't in place back in the day. It's kinda overwhelming at times, trying to keep all things in mind. Basically, if a job posting doesn't include the salary at all, I don't apply so that neither the employer's nor my time isn't wasted.

I have a question, so what does it mean when the hiring manager is negotiating for you before you get your offer? I interviewed for a job a month ago, followed up and the hiring manager called me and indirectly said I basically got the job but they are going through the negotiating process.
So I'm not to sure how to feel. On one hand I'm thankful and appreciative, on the other I want to be involved in the process. Also, once I receive the offer am I still supposed to negotiate?
Oh and also this is the second time this happened to me, I am extremely grateful that in both cases to have I met people who found me worthy enough to fight for without even barely knowing me, but I am curious as to why it is done privately. One called from a block number and told directly what was happening and the second one called me unblocked through the company phone but was indirect and I had to read between the lines.
My offer got rescinded. Yanked right off the table. The HR rep told me in interview #1 that I didn’t need to tell her my current salary. A salary range was posted in the job description and I knew I’d have to take a pay cut. Cut to after interview #3 and she called with an offer (still room for improvement and staying within the posted range) and then asked my current salary. She told me she’d call me back. She called a few minutes later and told me never mind. They didn’t want me to take a pay cut and be bitter and so they yanked the offer right off the table. I asked if I could think about the offer they gave me and she politely said no. I was willing to take a pay cut! I knew the range going in. Talk about disappointing.

Can I negotiate salary after I accepted the offer but have not begun working? I was too quick to say yes and now I feel uncomfortable with the salary
The problem is for me, the job offers up to 25 & I need 24.00, I could do 23 but would be losing 1260 a year. Suggestions. I go in tomorrow, was going to ask for 24
