Replace positive terminal. After an accident there’s a little box with gas and an ignition explodes to shut engine off and prevent further damage. So you would need to replace positive terminal
I'm currently battling a bad IBS and battery on an 2017 F15 X5 with 60k mi. The car died, was towed to dealership they found little to none, died again, boosted several times, died again. After an CEL came I scanned it and it gave me a code for a bad IBS. The car battery won't charge on a DEFA charger (the bad IBS fully depleted the battery 4 times or more). Will be replacing the battery and IBS in one motion, the register it, reset the DME and clear the codes. If this doesn't cut it then I have no idea what to do next...

Does the IBS forcably prevent the engine from turning over if it detects "not enough" battery power? My BMW *ALMOST* started, but it shut off for some reason and the headlights started to flash. After that, there was NO engine turn over what so ever. The IBS seems kinda dumb to me if it prevents the engine from starting WHEN IT PERFECTLY DAMN WELL CAN. Oh well.
@@24cam_ Yup, at least in my case, do to whatever reason, my battery was low. It prevented my engine from turning over at all until the battery was back up to charge.

What about 4A07 error code on e60 ? (Alternator communication) ...the car is working perfectly and before was stopping because the alternator didn't worked properly and the car was running on battery ....a mechanic repaired my alternator
2011 328i.. sunroof and windows just all open by themselves.. randomly.. no warning just get up .. look out the window and the car is all open,,.. usually at the worst time.. when it rains.. any thoughts?

I just purchased a 335i recently and tried to get it smoged but the smog guy said that there was a chip or tune because no codes Woolf pop up on his screen. But from what Ik there is no tune on the car, later on I scanned it with mhd and the 2e8e code came up for missing ibs. Do you think maybe that is the reason his wasn’t reading it? Please lmk ion wanna pay 500+ to smog it illegally . 🙏🏻
I personally had this issue what happened for me was the voltage would randomly spike to 14-16V on acceleration then it'll stop charging the battery after some time it'll throw an error saying battery isn't charging. Took a while to figure it out because I tested under different batteries and alternators and some other electrical components after dropping nearly a thousand dollars I saw IBS errors and that's when I replaced the IBS on mine and was just peachy again. 2011 E90 335i w/ 70k miles is when it started occurring for me.
@@markt9438 My main issues throughout ownership since 50k miles was valve cover gasket, water pump, IBS & battery, chargepipe, and coolant expansion tank. I'd check for those primarily on both options.
Thank you for commenting. I have 3 insurance totaled out 328xi's. The E91 is giving me serious electrical problems because 2 airbags deployed. I am reading 51VDC at the other end of the car but read 12.8VDC at the battery terminal clamps.

Hey Nathan, wanted to share my experience with BMW Doctor Dean with you see if you have any input. Few months ago I bought one of the tuned ecu’s he was advertising on his channel, 2 months go by and nothing comes in the mail, and i try to get a hold of him and he blocks me on everything i had contact with him through. The whole time he kept saying fedex is sending it but corona is slowing it down which i get, but it’s been 4 months and i haven’t heard from dean in two months. He obviously scammed me

Yea man it was crazy hot here, only 92 but really high humidity, installing more siding on the shop , its not going to do itself , that is for sure.

Yes. To let it know the battery is new, so it will treat as a new battery for charging purposes.
