This film is the biggest load of crap I've ever seen, I'm from Bradford- moved away cos I was sick of the racism towards white people. There was a few NF people that were dumb enough to get out there, and one got beaten up and then stabbed by some Asians. The police were not protecting the NF. In Bradford, people break the law and then say the police are racist if they arrest them. The sentences were long, because it happened for no good reason and 40 mil worth of damage, loads of police injured, traumatised e.t.c - the worst riot in 20 years. What happened after the riots, the council spent millions on Lister Park, near where the riots were. Looks like they effectively rewarded this community for atrocity of the riots!

Look at the ordeal this family was put through as a result of racism/racists in those areas. The police like to talk about how their officers faced such grave dangers and were scared. Fair enough. But they endure the distress for a few hours. These people are enduring oppression in a daily basis all their lives in those areas. What seemed to be captured was the underlying tension in modern UK society, the vast inability of the police to effectively manage the situation, and the Draconian response of a judiciary who were ridden by a deep sense of unease and fear of revolution. Again, we saw a massive and severe judicial response to the more recent student riots. Britain really needs to ask why so many young people feel so disenfranchised that they engage in riots. The savage judicial response tells us more about the judiciary and their unsettled sensitivities, and 'end of the world is nigh' attitude. In most countries (New Zealand as well) the system is geared to brush over the acts of rich white kids and crucify anyone else.

I don't recall 'weeks of tension formented by the activities and threats of the National Front and the BNP'. I know they held a march/demo in the centre of town earlier in the day that got a bit out of hand, but why then virtually destroy Manningham and cause more problems for your own community that continues to this day? All the riot did was get lots of people locked up for a long time and cause businesses to pull out of Bradford for good, it was totally self defeating. At least when the EDL or whoever visit the city these days and attempt to sir up trouble they are ignored, so I suppose that lesson has been learned.
When the EDL came, the police were on top of it and didn't let them go through Manchester Road like planned. Instead they were at urban Park where Broadway is now. You are right that it wasn't worth it long term but in the heat od the moment most people don't have self control especially in such a massive group thats angry. The buildup of tension was them bigging up the demo, the attacks the NF did just before the riot, the NF marches in other cities prior, I think Rotherham and there were beatings on Asians.

I organised this meeting to take place after an attack on a couple and I received calls from the girls father telling me as an organiser we should go into Bradford and highlight what was going on which was being kept quiet. i promised these people I would meet with them. There was a lot more to all this than has ever been asked. These conspiracies, half truths and assumptions make me laugh, No one has learnt from these or past events. The police were told we could contain everything and would do so at the start but didnt want us to, they wanted this to go off but didnt expect it on the scale they were met with. I don't recall 'weeks of tension formented by the activities and threats of the National Front and the BNP'. I know they held a march/demo in the centre of town earlier in the day that got a bit out of hand, but why then virtually destroy Manningham and cause more problems for your own community that continues to this day? When the EDL came, the police were on top of it and didn't let them go through Manchester Road like planned. Instead they were at urban Park where Broadway is now. You are right that it wasn't worth it long term but in the heat od the moment most people don't have self control especially in such a massive group thats angry. The buildup of tension was them bigging up the demo, the attacks the NF did just before the riot, the NF marches in other cities prior, I think Rotherham and there were beatings on Asians.

I organised this meeting to take place after an attack on a couple and I received calls from the girls father telling me as an organiser we should go into Bradford and highlight what was going on which was being kept quiet. i promised these people I would meet with them.
