- This runs for any team but I’m comparing Los Angeles Dodgers Mookie Betts authentic jersey vs Clayton Kershaw replica jersey.
One mistake I made was X-LARGE runs 48 if you wear large in replica you'll want size 48 in authentic style.

It annoys me to no end that the jersey which is meant to be for fans, and is still not that cheap, often doesn't include sleeve patches or numbers in the front of the jersey thus distinguishing the jersey from what the team wears. You don't see other leagues doing that...For example, NHL fan jerseys might use different materials, but they don't omit shoulder patches or numbers on the sleeves.

48 is an XL, that's why it's so big. Authentic 40 (M) 44 (L) 48 (XL) and so on. It's a chest measurement which will line up closely with the same size, but it's correct that the authentic will be longer

I bought a (gray) Dodgers jersey by majestic a few years ago. The jersey on the front it says Los Angeles, and in the back, it has the name and number all stitched.
Something i didn't notice was that there is no mlb logo on the back.😢 I'm in search of a new jersey. What I don't like on the replica is that the name and number are heat pressed.

I bought both versions to see if authentic is worth, and Nike didn't do a solid job on both versions tbh. Authentics's details are hands down better, but the fit is ridiculous because of the stupid length on all sizes and you can't even tailor to make it nicer because of the stupid mesh by the butt area. It's impossible to look good wearing it untucked. As for the Replica, the fit was perfect if you do 1 size up, but it's such an asshole move to skip a big details such as the LA sleeve patch and the red numbering at front, while everything is iron patched. It's so plain at the front that it makes you feel like wearing a doctors gown, cuz it's so white all over without much visual elements. I can afford to buy either, and I still don't know what to get or to wear more often.. Very annoying.
Someone needs to do a review on the Ebay Ohtani jerseys. It's tempting to buy at such a low price!

I’m 5 10, 165lb, slim atheletic with broad shoulder, and I wear XL in Stussy T shirt for proper loose fit. Large in Dodgers replica, a gift from my gf, gives me a casual fit. I like it very much, but I also like looser fit, so I just purchased XL on both versions.
Also, from what I’ve seen, authentics have slightly slimmer sleeves and merely slimmer on body compared to Replicas.

Don’t forget the fake jerseys have a huge LA on the side. It’s too thick and the color is brighter. Another huge give away is on blue spring training Jerseys there is no white LA patch on the left sleeve. It’s blank, sometimes they’ll have one on the right. Usually it will be a AZ or something related to spring training not a World Series patch.

@jaymo2448 agreed, everyone says their "fake looks authentic" but to anybody familiar with these jerseys and knows what to look for, you can spot a fake a mile away. The lettering is usually not correct, the numbers on the back are massive, logo doesn't line up. Even the cut of the jersey since counterfeits are usually really boxy and have a very low neckline, even sometimes the color is off.
The Nikes are dope but don’t think they are so much cooler than the Rawlings ones from around the turn of the century ,,, screw the majestic era ones …
