I got given a used pair once never wore them sadly , I have had the steal toe shoes for work and they took so long to break in. I and more of a fan of this type of boot comfort straight away. Breaking in shoes nobody’s got time for that 🤣
I really am not one for leaving a review on anything, never have been... But these Combs boots... OMG!!!! I just got mine last week. I got the iced soles boots they were on sale on the website for $77!!! I've never owned a pair of brand new Doc boots before (I'm 41 sad I know) However I have only wore them 3 times, twice to work, I work at a fast food restaurant as a manager, so oil, grease, water you name it I walk in all day NEVER SLIPPED ONCE!!!! I also noticed when I do get home my feet aren't drenched in sweat like my other boots were. The other time I wore them was on our motorcycle, I noticed I could actually feel the wind in my boots which was very refreshing lol My other boots during stopping at a street light would just soak up the heat and make it feel like it was burning, I live in Arizona, USA 110+ heat at times but these Doc don't even get warm in the sun. These are AMAZING 1,000,000,000%!!!! BUY THEM IF YOU CAN!!!!
You got them for a great price! That’s great they seem to fit perfect for all your needs ! Glad you are enjoying them thank you for leaving this comment 😁
I really appreciate the practicality of your video, looking at things like submersion resistance!! Other shoe reviewers seem to only care about the hype factors or only aesthetics
Just bought the regular Combs Tech boots a few hours ago (not the Extra Tough ones shown here) and I'm weirdly glad I'm not the only one who had a little bit of a pinch around the base of the big toe. As long as it's not causing any lasting damage, can't say I'm disappointed. This video gives me hope for them being comfortable for the 7km walk I'm going on in a week. Suppose I'll find out if the protection spray does any good when winter comes around and everything's covered in salt, too.
@@WoodsyWears Yep, I was offered a bottle of the spray when I bought the boots and I applied two coats of the stuff when I got them home. Any idea how often to _reapply_ it though? Can't seem to find any consensus on that. Only when to reapply the wonder balsam wax that I don't need. And I forgot to ask when I was at the store. Edit: Never mind. Some more searching finally got the answer. Once a month.
Have these in green. Only the first day they weren’t very comfortable but after a day or three of walking on them… love them. Walk softer than my Nikes
Just got a pair of these in black/gun metal which has a clear sole, these are my first ever boots and really like them, the only issue was the size I'm a 6.5 in Nike Air Max 97 and the 6.5 in these DM's was more like a 7.5 so got the size 6 which has room for thicker socks in when really cold but also was told that a little bigger is good as feet expand over the day
Hey it’s crazy the size difference but I’m glad you found a size that fits your needs 🤘 Hopefully your enjoying the comfort , thanks for the comment ✌️
This vid helped me make a big decision. I was going to buy ultra range vans for an nyc trip but with Fall around the corner. I went with these bad boys for my all day and night trekking and bar hopping
Got the Combs tech but in leather so they are a bit softer than these, Bought them for best and everyday. Super comfy relatively light weight. I bought a pair of Dr. martins Tarik boots for work, and I must say I much prefer the Tarik for style. love the extra chunky sole and they way they look with my jeans. So I swapped the usage. Warping the coms tech for work as they are lighter and all day comfort and the Tarik which are heavier and a bit stiffer for out of work.
I just ordered the leather version of doc martens combs boots. Hopefully they hold up well, especially in rain, as my previous pair of docs, the 1460, was soaked and my socks were drenched.
@@isidrovillarreal9830 They’re size 9 and that’s my usual size in vans. However, my 1460’s are a size 9 as well but those feel looser. So I suppose they fit truer to size than Docs most popular boot.
@@urvelocho4428 and can you wear bigger socks in them? Like, do you have a little bit of space inside. I have vans sk8 hi and I have a little bit of space inside.

Hi mate, great review! How’s the breathability? Could you wear them in summer without your feet melting? I plan to wear them on a motorbike in Oz. Thanks!
I don’t know if it’s too late for you but I just got into Dr. Martens boots myself and copped a pair of these. From what I’ve been told it’s always best to size up and I haven’t had any complications since 👌🏽

As much as I love these boots I don’t know how good they would be in heavy snow , due the the tongue being loose and not sealed to the sides , and I get hot in boots but I have found these very good at regulating the heat .
They’re great in deep snow, I’ve worn mine to go hiking in 40-50cm of snow and temperatures as low as -12 and my feet have been warm and dry throughout. The soles aren’t as good as proper walking boots in these extreme conditions but otherwise they’ve been brilliant.
I live in Ireland and in my opinion they absolutely rubbish. Slight rain and they get wet from the top.and extremely slippery on smooth pathwalks. Eny other than that great boots love the look
Dr martens have gone shit im.taking my £209 ox blood made in englands back as after 4 months the leathers failed the product quality has gone to crap rather fast
Dr. Martens is reinventing itself with tactical-inspired boot. It looks good...
I can’t recommend these boots enough! They are great 👍

Nike is known to make shoes smaller than other brands, so it’s not a surprise
Up a half size when buying boots and pay attention to how wide you buy.

just bought these for myself after wanting them for months, so excited to get them!!

I was surprised to notice that Dr. Martins are chosen by Nike fans, which I also am)
Thank you for this review! You've convinced me to get a pair myself :)
Never was a fan of DM boots. However, when I saw these boots along with the review. Now I feel confident that they'll be good work boots.
I have these as well and they're super comfy.

i wonder how these compare to the Nike ACG zoom gaiadome Gore tex

I am surprised that they are waterproof. Well done!! 🎉🎉

Great video, thank you! AND especially great intro! ;)
Thank you

Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Hey by any chance are these composite toe? I don't see a mention of it anywhere
Hey
These are not a safety grade boot unfortunately so there isn’t any steel toe cap or hard plastic for heavy protection
they look smashing, the cost is a bit spicy though, hoping for a discount :)
They just arrived, they are amazing! how do they clean?
hey
they clean so easy but I feel they definitely need a water resistant spray to protect from the wet weather
1460 vs combs tech
?????
Hhmm can’t beat the 1460 but I found these more comfortable ✌️
I need to get a pair of these! Waiting for the right price though.

Hey
I do find them hot when walking in hot weather but I feel that mesh once you have some wind on it should hopefully vent some air into them ✌️
Are these good winter boots?
Yeh they are not bad but would need some water proofing spray to make sure they stay very waterproof
Hello sir, if I’m a sz 13 in all my shoes, should I get theses in that sz?
Yes true to size ✌️
