A Clone Trooper's appearance says a lot about his combat experience

- Unlike the rest of us who are born different and strive to fit in. The clones of the Grand Army of the Republic start out life completely the same. The changes they make to their own armor, to their hair and skin are very much a reflection of the situations they have been in and their personalities. And so yeah... you should judge a clone by their cover.

We’re not gonna talk about Waxer? Dude painted a young Twilek on his helmet so he never forgot about her. Shows his compassion and love of family.
And Numa would go on to wear Waxer on her gear when she fought for the Rebellion
@@carsoncasmirri3874wait seriously? That’s DOPE AF
Its more of a tribute. 😢 he would NEVER FORGET😊
@@carsoncasmirri3874she wore boils name and clone armor but they did have a deep bond
And how are you going to talk about Clone individuality when you fail to mention the first episode ever? Yoda even explains it super well. My guy is slacking.
Imagine Cody flying his barber out to Umbara to keep his cut fresh
That was the first comment to make me actually lol in years
I don't think the jedi would be to impressed.
I always assumed that they cut each others hair. It makes sense a few of them learn to cut hair
@@Darthdoodoobasically what happens into the military
@@Darthdoodoo As long as someone has a pair of clippers there will always be a unit barber no matter how small the unit is
And then there's Fox, whose face we've never seen. Almost makes him feel less human, less sympathetic, the unquestioningly loyal, ideal imperial soldier that we're meant to dislike.
and i think that plays a big part in what he does to fives during the fives arc
Except for the fact some of us actually like him.
@@dutch_asocialite except those that like Fox aren't one of us.
WTF that's true. I completely forgot we don't see his face
There's one fanfic I read, it took a small moment I to the Coruscant guard as am alt time travel fiction, in it it was found by a heavy that survived the reeshi moon incident that it's comment for the guard to meet with Palpatine and wake up heading back to their barracks tired as can be due to codes being used on them repeatedly, I prefer to think that's what made Fox use lethal instead of stun.
Never clocked the Rex/Eminem connection. As an Eminem fan, no wonder Rex ended up being my favorite fictional character ever.
Rex was such a good character. A good soldier, but a better man.
Allow me to introduce you to enel from one piece.
@@jonaz7312 ...HOW AM I JUST NOTICING THIS!?
@@TheRibottoStudios It was actually stated by oda, that eminem is the template for enel. It works on multiple levels, considering the whole "rap god" situation and the lightning fast rapping lol. To this day one of my favorite aspects of one piece.
Subaru natsuki, rem, Miyamoto musashi, guts?? There’s way better characters lol
The music bro when showing the clone numbers💀
I need it!!!!!
What is love? Baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more
Yeah I’m dumb
I'm now imagining a company of clones all bopping their heads to the side in unison.
Yeah, whats up with that? I dont remember haddaway playing in the clone wars.

Indubitably so

The fact that Waxer was killed by friendly fire that didn't need to happen and he was the first clone to cry STILL makes my blood boil to this day.
Rex should've taken that shot. There's no high ground in war.
Tell that to Obi-Wan
@@totalcreativegaming6681
...
...
Should've seen that coming 😅
I get what you mean but poor choice of words,
There is very much high ground in war lol (ignoring the obi-wan obvious jokes).
Taking an uphill position is always harder, bullets rain down getting more kills, nades and shrapnel will travel down but not up (by shrapnel i mean like artillery on a slope may have some go uphill, but the majority of fragments/disleveled dirt etc will go down (because simple geometry of a hill/cliff blocking projectiles and more things), high ground gives a better vantage point for scouting ahead and it increases the angle of potential bullet rain from a flat line you'd get from level fighting, which in turn increases the potential for head/upper body shots which increase kill rates, plus it weakens any cover from forces attempting to agress from below you as you can see over their cover potentially should the angle be right. Additionally, idk if star wars blasters/artillery have blaster bolt drop off like gravity does to bullets/arrows in our world, but the high ground vastly increases the range you can fire regular munitions. Other auxillary things like improved communications potential by evading obstructions, the impact of water and humidity that can negatively influence the low ground, especially running streams of water, the ability to abuse certain heavier than air gasses/chemical warfare against the lowground, the literal physical difficulty for armed, weighted down soldiers to aggress uphill, the fact hills and mountains have steeper sections or valleys that deny entry and force infantry ground units to push in certain directions only, and the ability to vertically layer defences to fire whilst retaining a full fov, and many other reasons I could list below.
I'll give you some easy examples for you to consider why the high ground is in war. In WW1, in the gallipoli invasion (about the dardanelles in turkey), the allies got mowed down by machine gun fire and had a significantly higher death rate than the ottomans who held the defensive high ground with simple sandbag and machine-gun fire.
Another you ought to be more familiar with: the D-Day landings in WW2. The germans took the french coastal barracks/fortifications from the east (land side, relative flat ground) and the english, canadian and american forces that invaded the north-west coast of france had to push up a beachfront much like gallipoli into machinegun fire without any viable cover. To quote the Normandy Landings wiki: "Casualties were heaviest at Omaha, with its high cliffs." It was moreso the artillery fire and the already stretched german forces fighting russia in the east that led to the 'success' which cost thousands of lives.
Consider forts around the world in all cultures that partook in warfare, connected or disconnected to the european/MENA world, and you'll find that they are built on the high ground. The great wall of china, the defence against raiding mongols that pillaged northern china, was built on pre-existing mountains. Literally google 'high ground in war' as i just did and there are many more reasons I didn't brainstorm seeing as I want to sleep as its 11pm here lol.
Also, how you hating on rex? Rex the goat man.
@@totalcreativegaming6681 you mean the master of the low ground?
Makes your blood boil? Waxer and boil haha 😂... 😢
I can really imagine What Is Love being blasted from enormous speakers during clone rallies. What a vibe.
The one thing the ENTIRE star wars community can agree on is that howitzers hair is FRESH AF
I think my favorite detail about Mayday's armor is that when he has his helmet on, instead of the the usual slightly static-y/filtered sound that most helmeted people in Star Wars have, his voice is super distorted because of how worn and barely-functioning his armor is.
In the Military you can see this too. The way it goes in the Marine Corps generally goes as such shaved head means recruit, first deployment, or old guy who simply didn’t want to keep up with haircuts. Guys with high and tight’s are either new or extremely moto. High fade normally means slightly less new or slightly stricter adherence to orders than most. Medium fade is what most guys had it’s clean, it’s presentable, and you won’t get chewed out for it. Low fade are generally the old hands who simply don’t care about that kind of thing anymore, they aren’t worried about getting chewed out because they’ve been with the unit long enough that nobody seems to care. Then you have mustaches, most are either grown on deployment or are just a mainstay with the guys who like them. For all of this I can say I ran the full gambit and in pictures it was easy to tell when it was taken based off my haircut and whether or not I had a mustache
Very interesting thanks for the sharing
Agreed, Though for me i served in the Navy on submarines. Underway we were allowed to grow full facial hair we just had to shave before return to port. But towards the end of my stint my facial hair was growing so fast it would already be unsat by lunch time. Nowadays i shave once a year before summer, that way it grows thick enough to keep my neck warm in winter.
@DeagleGamesTV - Only once a year? Damn, that's hardcore! Do people ever call you "Grizzly Adams"? Haha
Same. Looking back at photos u definitely can tell how green I was. I did look good in that high fade but after that I just shaved it. Easier and I didn't have to wait in that line for hours. Bring lots of sunscreen tho lol I looked like a cherry tomato
My dumb ass didn’t even realise he was blond. I thought it was just the shine on his head lmao
the animation in the first season was rough
same! I'm red/green colorblind, you might want to get that checked -.-' but yeah, i just streightup thought he was shaving his dome bald. (would that increase or decrease helmet-fitting?)
I thought that to for a while but eventually found out I was shocked
Did you know: 1 out of 12 males is colorblind.
You all colorblind. Except Generation Tech. He probly not colorblind.
@@RotalHenricsson Ah, that would explain why I also thought he just had a shaved head.
With the Bad Batch coming to an end I hope we gat another animated clone series
One of domino squad would be great
We are definitely getting a clone rebellion series
The bad batch is setting that up
The Clone Underground
I have no doubt that we are getting a show about Rex
2:40 So that's why I've heard various forms of soldier referred to as a "jar head." Never got that before.
if you think about it..
Fives only survived 5 arcs..
That's why he's ARC trooper fives.
CT-5555
“It’s Fives! The name is Fives!” - Fives
“I’m not just another number” - Fives
Considering Cody's close combat experience, I love the idea that he got his scar in a knife fight.
Vibroblade duel with a BX Commando droid maybe. He even body checks one in the show so he’d definitely be up for it.
i liked howzers appearnce, the scar, on the face and standing up for his boys is what made him dope for me
Hands down, the clone most likely to be on the cover of GQ is my man, Hunter.
So I'm not the only one
This whole time I thought Captain Rex had a shaved head.
Whoa whaaaat i did too wtf i can't believe I didn't see the hair 😂😂
I bursted out laughing when Still D.R.E. by Dr. Dre was playing when Tup killed that Jedi.
I miss the bloody hand print on Echo's armor
Omg Alan, I nearly shot water out my nose when you talked about the Kelly brothers, and I wasn't even drinking water.
lol gotta get that checked out
@@GenerationTechSo, any progress on that “Shaak Ti being chosen to teach Clone Trooper” video or do you have other videos to get through first?
Anyone ever wondered how many clones out there get to live the lives similar to that of Cut Lawquane after they have been forced into the retirement by the Empire?
i mean on his old toy back in the day it was pretty obvious
If it isn't already, Scott Kelly needs to be a meme. His smiling picture, exactly. Thank you Sir, that was the funniest thing I had heard all day.
Am i the only one here that after watching the clone wars 8 times in my lifetime, that thought Rex was just bald
nope!
He has hair?
I always assumed he shaved his head.
@@robertnelson9599 yeah same here
When I was little I just thought he shaved it and had a really bad tan line 😭
I would of like to had known if Rex would find out that Anakin is Vader
Me wondering if CT-7567 is Echo
Alan: Captain Rex
Me: “I have failed the Grand Army of the Republic and deserve to be locked up with Ziro the Hutt”
Echo is CT-1409
There's a mistake here at 13:06 since the number is supposed to be 5555 not 5385
Agree
He also referred to the Wolfpack as the 105th
There is another one after that too
🕺🎶 what is love? Cody don't hurt me. Don't hurt me, no more 🎶🕺
Obi-Wan after Order 66:
What's with the Haddaway?😂😂😂
how else do you think the clone army kept march in time?!
Rex buys his underwear from yard sales.
To be honest i always though rex was bald
Boy you can really see how much the CGI improved when you look back at the earliest eps of TCW.
Yeah I think it’s the lightning more than anything it just looks so good in the last seasons
Cody, Kenobi, its like poetry it rhymes
I was not prepared for your joke/fact about the Kelly twins. Brava Alan! 😅😂
That smile picture of the astronaut is money 😂😂i love alan his humor and love of humanity is so awesome 👍😎
Captain Howzer is the example of what every man should be. He embodies the quote “it is better to be a warrior in a garden, the a gardener in a war”. As he knows how to be kind and courteous, but also knows how to be dangerous.
My life long goal of becoming an astronaut has just been reafirmed.
I am loving this video, Alan!
That fact about space travel… I must go to space
I really loved this video! Thanks for sharing 😊
Love that they’re all the same genetically but vastly different people. A great sentiment of genetics doesn’t determine who you are.
I believe this needs a Part 2.
Thanks for the video. It’s good to go back and talk about some of the clones who made it to where we are in the timeline with The Bad Batch.
A video appreciating the clones' style? My fav video
This was great!! Part 2 please!!!!
Alan my man... You made me realise... We all are clones. This one hit hardest than usual. Thanks boy. Keep up the good work kiddo.
not really
:)
@@FATDUCK2525 you are young, brave and wise boy/girl. I salute you. Respec to you my brother/sister.
Bro this video has some wild editing
Oh wow I've never caught Generation this early before, 7 minutes.
this is the best clone wars content lmao, love it
Keep these clone videos up man
8:34 "Leader of the 105th battalion" Sir I think you made a mistake here, the wolfpack is the 104th battalion
"when you send the wolf in he doesn't ask any questions he doesn't fool around he just gets the job done' he says in reference to a mission he asked questions and did not get done.
Great video Tech 😎👍🇦🇺
You rock Alan!!
So sad in this finale season of Bad Batch we didn't see again clone trooper
What
Im suprised you didnt mention how 5's hair style changes in the inhibitor chip arc and the rich symbolism of how his understanding of the entire world get shattered. The cleanly shabed head of hair shows how he is starting again from the roots as he learns what the clone war really are about.
Maydays death hit me in the feels hard. Legit cried when I saw that.
In Rex’s book, experience outranks everything
Thanks Alan👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Mayday is probably one of my favorite clones
Any chance you can cover Waxer, Kix, and the others? Either way very good video i loved the information
The main reason in the difference in look is to make themselves different from everyone else - be there on selves
Why do we love Clone Wars and all these clones? Because Dee Bradley Baker gives each and every one of them their soul. Man I need more clone wars era Star Wars. So sad the BB ends soon.
Best edit yet lol
Could you please make a video on the ecosystem of Dathomir
Very Nice
Fun video as always, but just fyi you have Tup’s number listed for the last three troopers in the list, not just Tup (have it for Fives and Mayday).
You ever accidentally sit on your own balls? That just happened to me.
i have
I’m just picturing two clones sitting around at the bar and one of them said your comment XD
@chrislaurent1137 it would 100% be something Fives would say 😂
No wonder why I relate to Crosshair so much then I suppose.
I came up with some clones ideas for a story I've been making, and 2 of them I think make sense for this topic the first being CT-4239 "Lefty" he wanted to stand out at a young age so he trained himself to be abadextrous and prefered carrying his blaster with his left hand, which gave him his nickname. And the other being CC-8241 "Rigg" who, after being abandoned by the empire, reunited with his Jedi general and went on to add a mythosaur marking on his chest plate and getting a tattoo on his cheek reading "For the Republic and my fallen Brothers".
I like what you do. It ben years i follow you.
Get me to space rn
the what is love is too much.😂
EXCUSE ME WOLFFE LEADS THE 105TH?!?!? Nah just kidding man, great video.
I'm disappointed that we didn't see CT-7921"Litt's" absolutely ATROCIOUS hair cut.
We need a part two, there are so many unique clone hair styles.
The real irony of the clones is that they are some of the most wildly individualistic people in Star Wars. It's a kind of tragic beauty to a culture they had to invent for themselves.
They do use the name Alpha in The Bad Batch, it’s just used as Boba’s original name
What music do you use for these videos? Some of these background songs while you talk are amazingly peaceful
...I need to become an astronaut immediately for no particular reason whatsoever
the glazing is crazy
0:48 "every month in space leads to around 2mm of penile growth"
I wanna become an astronaut now.
Conversion for mm to cm to inches is 25.4 mm = 2.54 cm = 1 inch (This conversion is so messy why just why!)
So by multiplying by 8 if you want 8 inches. 2.54 * 8 = 8 inches
So to get an inch it takes 25.4 mm / 2mm = 12.7 months to get 1 inch
Which tells us that to get 8 inches you need to be in space for 12.7 months * 8 = 101.6 months meaning roughly 8 and a 1/2 years in space.
Love the video, but I gotta bring it up.
Wolffe’s name is spelled “Wolffe” (Two Fs and an E), and he’s the commander of the 10*4th* Battalion, not the 105th.
On the other hand, the mention of Jaig Eyes and the Cuy’val Dar was enough to get me to sub IMMEDIATELY, love to see the Cuy’val Dar getting some much deserved recognition ❤
only learned through this video that Rex wasn't bald during Clone Wars/Bad Batch lmfao
To bad I was listening to most of this and didn't see these clips
it hurts my soul, that you didn't mention rexe's modefied amore
There's a mistake at 13:06 is supposed number 5555 not 5385
Dude gained an inch 😂
Appreciate the nod to TBI survivors.
0:48 Hold up… yeah I’m not going to space in my lifetime, I already have trouble buying pants to keep my package concealed lmao
well sir let tell you about the advantages of deep ocean exploration
Out of nowhere I want to become a astronaut, don't know why tbh
I’m now going to space
Kenobi by the books general????? We should address his many war crimes over that time.
One interesting part of Cody's appearance in Episode 3 is that he actually has the sides of his haircut kept higher than the other clones
he has more of a side fade than the rest and I wish the show had kept that
2mm per month. There’s hope for us in space, we can finally achieve average.
I NEED TO GO TO SPACE
Never made the connection on Tup, his first mission being so traumatic ending in having him be part of the crew executing his general probably is why he deteriorated and did it again.
Wait... i need to become an astronaut. Can double myself in a month? Hell yeah
(2:35) bro why did you have to show that fruity dance when talking about cody😂
I always though Rex was just blonde, Omega is blonde. If you make a 200,000 clones some genetic drift is going to happen. Most will be the same but some will have green eyes, some will be cripple, some will be bald, some will be blonde and some will be female.
He definitely is, yes - because you can spot several blonde cadets, another blond trooper (in The Deserter episode) and then Omega.
I agree with you up to the female point. How do you want to make a female out of XY chromosomes?
I know this exists, but it is extremely rare and happens less than once in 10M
