Extreme MTB Adventure on the Incline and Marlette Flume Trails

- Hello everyone and welcome back. I am Robert Van Nortrick. Are you ready for an unforgettable mountain bike adventure with amazing views? In this video, we'll take you on a MTB ride down the INCLINE and MARLETTE Flume Trails near Lake Tahoe, California. We rode these trails as an out and back from Mt. Rose Highway to Marlette Lake and back. We completed a total of 43km (27mi).
The Incline Flume Trail can be ridden out and back, as part of a larger loop, or as a shuttle ride from Mt. Rose Highway (Hwy 431). It is relatively flat and suitable for beginners. We enjoyed several stream crossings and we rode across The Diamond Hill ski area.
The Marlette Flume Trail is enjoyable mostly flat singletrack twisting along a steep mountain side. If you're afraid of heights, this ride might not be for you, but it's an intermediate trail otherwise. The views are spectacular and the riding is flowy and fun.The first section is very technical, and many riders walk this section. It is very short, and once you clear it, the ride gets much easier. From there, the singletrack swings out on the hillside and gives you great views of Lake Tahoe.
