You can get more crew in rewards on completing certain levels and you can also buy using gold planes(which is expensive). you can also hire some crew for a few hours by spending silver coins

You can unlock L planes once you reach Regional Contracts and L/X planes on International contracts. I can send you a Player contract if you want.
