I was using heat wave to level up ritualist by running through the same dungeon you're in on Nerud. It definitely takes a second or two to effect enemies, and it seems to not effect enemies below you even slightly. So you have to be on the same ground level or below the enemies. But with ritualist it becomes a very similar fire and forget. just run through because the contagion will apply that fire damage to any enemy that aren't immediately caught by the mod itself.
There is stone of Stone of Continuance as well who increase skill duration by 15% same as the unlockable trait called " Chakra " who increase too mod duration, i just got to unlock it personally in my campain mod haha
I have a melee focused "Red Prince" build. Amplitude, Chakra, Kinship(required), Magnifying Glass. I got Heat Wave and Firestorm. I'm a Ritualist/Challenger so I pop those, use Deathwish and Juggernaunt then just go ham.
Had no idea nanoswarm even scaled with AoE size. Also, any plans on doing a cervine keepsake build? I think it has a lot of potential but I haven’t seen any builds around it yet. Personally running a medic/invader build around outscaling the movespeed penalty of crystal heart at max stacks, but since it gives any class infinite relics without any drawbacks like emergency switch or cost of betrayal do I could see a lot of potential class and relic combos working. It activates ring of omens’ mist dodge too.
I haven't really put any thought towards a build for it yet but using it to counter the slow of crystal heart seems pretty fun. My brother was running the amulet when we were doing multi-player the other day and he was the mvp of revives with it
@@Pseudonihil I mostly play solo so I hadn’t even thought about revive potential, could be really good with handler prime. I’m also tinkering around with an infinite ammo shielded heart build with gunslinger/engineer with it since the gunslinger relic perk reloads your gun and engineer spawns more ammo and triggers vacuum seal & dram scavenger ring. It’s probably my favorite amulet at this point for how versatile it is
@@Pseudonihil I actually just got the academic set whilst looking for the magnifying glass lol. Got grabbed by a giant sewer rat. Looks good with the radiant helm but even better with the cultist hat. 👌
I didn't see anything to say it was changed, I'll have to log in and take another look. Sometimes the tool tips don't show updated information except when you inspect the weapon and what not

Also had ring of spears equipped just to proved some melee knock back and ensure none of the enemies actually touched me before the fire applied.

Nice i just got that amulet and immediately thought of something with heatwave. Reminds me of playing an auradin from diablo 2.
I'm still trying to grab that amulet to make really big water fountain with explorer
I would highly reccomend Maelstrom on Heatwave, it specifically affects elemental damage.

Magnifying glass is incredible with my HUGS infinite Nightfall build. More mod and skill duration fits perfectly.
I got it in hardcore mode but it’s not showing up for my regular character to purchase
