- "Black Ancient Futures" reúne obras de 11 artistas da diáspora africana, alguns deles apresentados pela primeira vez em Portugal, que, através de diversas linguagens, propõem um vasto conjunto de narrativas e paisagens alternativas ao panorama dominante das artes contemporâneas.
Com curadoria de Camila Maissune e João Pinharanda, as obras apresentadas na exposição "Black Ancient Futures" resultam do cruzamento de características específicas entre culturas e outros espaços geográficos e revelam a energia própria e original do destino viajante da condição africana proporcionando um universo de possibilidades criativas.

"Black Ancient Futures" brings together a significant group of 11 artists from the African diaspora, some of them presented for the first time in Portugal, who employ different languages to propose a wide range of alternative narratives and landscapes that contest the dominant panorama of the contemporary arts.
Curated by Camila Maissune and João Pinharanda, the works exhibited at "Black Ancient Futures" are the result of the combination of specific features of African culture with other cultures and other geographical spaces, and reveal the original energy of the itinerant fate of the African condition offering a universe of creative possibilities.
