    I think I had about a dozen revelations in this video alone - and damn man, the quality of this video is crazy!

    Man, when I see how far you can take these student pieces my brain immediately turns itself off in awe. Once I'm done with these drawing studies I started a while ago, I'll become your student, I swear.

    From a video in 2012 to this, I can say this much that the authenticity is right there all along, Tyler! The content of your videos absolutely nails the fundamentals. Kudos

    Amazing tutorial. I took notes and will consider all of them helpful. I think admiting Luck is a huge factor as well is actually mentally healthy for artists who are depressed as well. Keep working to improve our art in all ways we desire while admitting that luck effects our success and how many people even see our online posts. Still: Hoping to get the Steve Martin someday "Be so good they can't ignore you". Great stuff!

    Jesus Christ, the amount of information in this video is so dense. I even check your patreon, holy shit 7$ for so much information. I am definitely going to buy your content, maybe even a mentorship. Thank you tyler

    So much info in one video along with great visual aids and examples! Love it especially the tip of using references - to capture the essence! Before I used to think that when doing studies and using photo references you had to try and get it as close as possible to the original. But the comparison examples you showed say otherwise. Thank you for a very inspiring and helpful video :D

    Hi i discovered your channel recently because i wanted to get into enviroment landscapes... i have been drawing anime for so long but i wanted to learn backgrounds since i always avoided it and have been scared of it. But you motivated me with your tutorials and everything that im trying to follow i might not be good but i will try my best. Hopefully one day i can actually reach out for your feedbacks if i ever made a good one haha. All in all thank you for inspiring me

    That's great! How would one study and practice this subject? I'd love to be mentored by you but don't have the time to make sure I make the best of it right now. Maybe in the future! Thanks for all the free content you share :D

      Lorraine Rochefort the 7$ tier on patreon would be ideal for someone on a busy schedule or budget. Other than saving lots of cinematic movie stills, paintings from artists or masters, and regularly referencing them or doing studies would be a great place to start.

    I' m planning making a short film. Do you recommend doing location design on isometric view for clarity and then create estabilishing colored concept pieces or the other way around?

    • @TylerEdlin84
      @TylerEdlin84  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably the isometric first.
