Hi Rajiv, this is Ambaram Sanghani, Chem-1981. It just made me cry my heart. What a wonderful place Surathkal and the institute, KREC, a Mandir were! Lucky ones only can become KARENG! Excellent documentary of life at KREC, from an empty room at the start to the one at the end. Thank you.

I always miss football ground, SAC ,hostel, Beach, Lighthouse, Sadanand ,Coffee shop on college top floor with my college friends.
Still , I do remember my last train journey from Mangalore to Howrah when juniors running on platform with the train bidding goodbye to us.

I've completed done m.tech(2011-13)... jus two years but learnt lot.. still remembered dat last day while leaving college cried lyk a child and every 1 in d bus looked at me with confusion... can't take two years life@ NITK from my life....
it taught me how to enjoy,how to study,how to be responsible once again ur video remembered me those days and finally u made me cry sir.... thankyou
Imagine batch of 2021 watching this video feeling miserable only to realise the evening they were celebrating when college closure was announced in March and today are spending their final year staring at computer screen in name of online class. I'm never gonna feel same about college and there will always be a dark spot when I remember NITK and never want to go back there.

well kabhi socha nahi tha ki hume apne seniors ki college pics dekhne ka mauka milega . aur ye bhi nahi socha tha ki 90's ke daur mein koi itna enjoy kar sakta hai . aapne prove kar diya that nothing is impossible for engineers . Thanks for sharing this moment with us :)
sir mai apki iss memory se kafi relate kr sakta hu.... dehradun se surathkal ka safar - Dehradun-kochuveli express....sadanand restaurant 😂....sadly....iss lockdown me 3-4 mahine kya beete hum sab ko college ki yaad ane lagi....i can only imagine what u feel like .... Excellent video. I am Sathya (1988 batch). Your video and the background dialogues exactly reverberated with my thoughts. I always found it extremely fascinating to observe that whether the person is from Karnataka or Delhi or UP, there is something that kind of binds KREC/NITK to the person - In fact I might say that I found more people from outside Karnataka feeling a sense of joy and sadness when they graduate and leave KREC. We had out jubilee celebrations 2 years back and now it is the turn of your batch. Hope a large group meets there in Dec and has a lovely time. But I am sure that all of you know that a lot has changed in the meantime (as it should). There is no longer the grounds along which we used to walk to the classrooms; one cannot just walk across the NH and eat bun-omelette or noodles. But still a lovely place, lovely environment and something I will always remember throughout my life.

Lots of things changed now I'm in 2nd year (4th sem). I'm enjoying a lot and there are many things that I have learnt nd will always be a unforgettable moments.
Lovely one Rajiv..... I still remember the initial days when I came with my Dad for admission and then the fun filled college days and as a keen cricketer my balance between studies, cricket and then going home to Parents while trying to enjoy the hostel room in between not to forget the SAC movies....the midnight room studies with more trip to Shanbhag.....Kabaddi plays than studies......Those were the days we thought they'd never end......Your lovely video with nicely illustrated lyrics was great.....Yes I have lost count of the number of times I have gone through this.....Here I am just expressing my profound happiness on the efforts behind this..3 Cheers Rajiv..Loved every bit of it and will continue going through it...helps relive the good ole' nostalgic memories.

Its really good. I too had landed quite like this with my father way back in 1976. had escaped Ragging [due to Emrgency}. I can proudly say those FIVE years in college [then KREC} are the best days in my life. I cherish to remember those days since we had very little access to Food outside world etc. We used to watch movies in the open space between Chemical block & then Elect lab. The Projector room is still there beside the Mech workshop for Lathe. Thanks alot

Restoring memory after 30 year
It felt very good on seeing the video. Even I'm from dehradun and the same long journey by train.. I wish I could meet you. It really feels very good when you find people from your hometown in some unknown city. College has really changed a lot now. You guys were amazing, you literally enjoyed your days.
This is so good ..being a second year now i realise that i just have 2 more years to enjoy with my friends..thanks for the reminder 🎗️

Weird but a dream, you've come all the way from dehradun till mangalore which is my hometown, my birth place.. I've lived in the city of shores I've seen NITK throughout my life but, now I'm heading towards a journey and that's dehradun,.. Not exactly but a prestigious institution very close to dehradun..
Coming soon my dream lives there in the lap of hills ❤🙏

Hii senior here i am your 38 years junior listening you. kuchh chije jaroor badal gai hain par kafi cheeje aaj bhi hain mobile and social media ke aane se ham wo masti jaroor miss kar rahe hain . aapki antim line steel ka bed,krec ki van,surathkal aur manglore ka station pichhe chhut gaye really shock karti hai ki ek din hame bhi ye sab chhod ke chale jana hoga.but really loved your voice and the way you expressed the things and those old fotographs.♥ love from nitk surathkal.
