@8:49 - I don't know what show this is, but the guy in the orange shirt is the late Brian Hall who played the chef in the second series of "FAWLTY TOWERS".
8:31 I'm curious what the show or TV movie being filmed here was. There's nothing on Karl Howman's imdb that seems to fit. His acting credits in the era are either made by one of the ITV franchisees, or the character was called something other than Pat, or both.
I was a Film Assistant Class 2 there at the BBC in 1982. Best job in the world!
