What a great idea adds so much flare to your plastic it's sure to catch more fish . Probably go well as a trailer on a chatterbait to add that extra flash 👍
@@WorldsWorstFishing For sure the list is endless. I was wondering and thinking of the different applications you could use them for as you were making them 😂🤣 but as a lure maker and fisherman you can't help but wonder what you could use them for 👊
I love how the skirt "Blossoms" open when it settles, but also the flow of it is super great !! I can't wait till my AI skirt mold comes in. I have some plans on modifying it just a Tad Bit at the tips to add my own style that i want in a skirt
Three high points from this fine episode: first, I loved how the triple laminate turned into a 2.1 with the middle yellow popping out in the legs, but just creating the smoothest transition from the other two colors in the bodies of the grub. Second, nice job figuring out to, literally, first prime the pump doing the two color skirts, results were spectacular. Third, today’s color of the day looked store bought, it came out so well!! Keep up the great work, watching these videos has turned into a really fine “laminate” of educational entertainment! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You are are so good. You might remember me. I asked you about my swimbaits coming apart becausei didnt have enough heat. I dont have that problem any more since i watched your swimbait temperature video. I gotta say, people dont know how difficult this is. Its definitely an art and you sir is a good artist. You have a very creative mind. In my last message i mentioned my invesment in this art. Im loving every bit of it and i think i attempted every color you have done on youtube. Im working on the swimbaits. I bought a pair of 5 for the 6 inch. Those swimbaits look like Scottsboro swimbaits, im sure you know that. Love it. Well any ways, i tried to do these after purchasing the hulagrub mold and the skirt mold. The hulagrub came out great, not the best laminate but sometimes i like when the colors mix almost like the c block from AI. For some reason i cannot get the skirt to inject. I tried different heats from 300 -450, all in between. The plastic will only spread like an inch max . I also tried what you said and prime the laminate block but no luck. Thank you for all your videos. Watched all of them . I remeber the one with Norm. Is their any other way of contact with you. I would really like to just get a couple tips here a there. I will never catch up to you but just to see what you do is enough. I live in seattle Washington, not the best for bass fishing but there is tournaments out here believe or not. How did this episode escape me. I bought these a couple years ago. They make some great hula grubs, Ika's, and for core shot neds with a skirt. Angling A.I. FTW.
These are outstanding! I would love to see you use different plastics to see how it affects the jigs then add salt to the skirt. There's so many options!
Double tails are my go to up here in Pennsylvania in the Susquehanna river and Juniatia river thanks for the duel color black grape and dark yellow looks sweet that color will be in my tackle bag for next year thanks again your video are always helpful to me

Super super cool my dude. Man the more you post the more I want to do this so bad! Love it all the triple blend was my fav! Would do awesome here in Michigan!
Really enjoyed the video Chris, and I learned about the heat knife trick. I'm making a large order of AI's disco grub with skirts, and putting them together with Mendit is taking forever. So I'm excited to get a heat knife and speed up the process.
I'm relatively new to your channel from northern Ontario. I'm a co anchor in the back of a bass boat and have been thinking about trying to make my own. Thanks so much for doing such a thorough job explaining and showing that it's not always going to turnout perfect every time. What would you recommend for a double pump with a mixer and a single pump. Trick worm/tube jig/sink and skirted jig
Another great video. I'm working on a creature bait that has a integrated skirt like that built into the mold... it's awesome to see the idea is actually feasible.
I'm new to bait making so this might be dumb, but how do you add salt to your plastic? I love the Yamamoto Hula grub and it's loaded with salt. Can you simply just add salt to the mixture or does that affect how the plastic sets? Thanks!
You are the man. I purchased the skirt mold a couple months ago. Went crazy and have probably a 100 surplus skirts on hand with 30 color combos. Skirts are great for using leftovers colors from sprus etc. I failed at getting a good bond UNTIL you just fixed me. Thank you. BTW the color combo's on this video are KILLER. A little tip I do now is I use these skirts on the jigs I pour instead of silicone or rubber skirts. So much more economical and the color combination are just endless. Thanks again Chris

What size injector are you using for the dual and triple injection?
I am diggin' the floating skirts. I would think that really helps the flair of it.
Do you ever save the pieces from the blending blocks? I would like to make some bluegill lures with those
