Please try making water just like how It is done in the Martian. I'm pretty sure it is possible, but it would be awesome to see you do it! Edit: I did not mean use hydrazine as this is a highly corrosive and regulated substance. I meant just burn the hydrogen and create water.
Terminator 1,000 Still extra work he has to do on top of his regular content. He stopped for a reason. You can get liquid nitrogen from a industrial air gas place and is fairly cheap but you need a dewar and that’s where it gets expensive they are around $100
Grant, so you're just rejecting the 20% oxygen enriched air? You ought to collect it as well. You could use it in fuel cell experiments. Now take your gunpowder you made earlier and make bottle rockets and launch them.
911, What is your emergency? There is some creepy guy on the playground with razor blades. Police have been dispatched to your location, please stay on the line.
thanks for the great video! I get my nitrogen from a hummingbird that i keep in a five gallon carboy with a balloon for a lid. hummingbird exhaust is pure nitrogen gas. its ancient wisdom that i rediscovered looking out the window while eating breakfast.
Grant Thompson - "The King of Random" no I am just from Orem, I was on a family vacation at the same time you went, so that is why I was there xD but I wish I was in Hawaii !
Please check if CO2 enrichment works. It's putting dry ice in a bucket of water. Then, putting it next to some plants while the dry ice turns into CO2 gas. Do this during the day since plants need oxygen at night. My hypothesis is that it would work. Please check my hypothesis. Or if it has any effects at all.
He's not actually, he just does his research. Watch his collaboration with Cody'sLab, he is not very smart, but definetly is when it comes to putting videos together and making things, he's practical, not academic.
Thats true actually, i didnt think of that, but i dont know if it would be enough, as Supermar said, he needs 3000+ C, if carbon rods can get that high, then ye sure but it would take time and im not sure the rods would be stable enough to handle that kind of heat for 5+ mins
Ironhammer gaming you most likely can, but you would have to replace the calcium chloride every so often, depending on how much you use. Any strong desiccant should work
I have a suggestion for an experiment regarding liquid nitrogen. I have heard that liquid nitrogen is great for cleaning floors because of the way it evaporates and skitters. Like if you just pour liquid nitrogen on the floor it will naturally just clean your floor. Is that true? Is it better for something like dusting or sweeping or can it also handle spills and mopping?
this isn't much of a change in your food coloring experiment but I think it would look awesome to hold the UV light up to a glass of warm water and throwing in a frozen food coloring and just watching it and seeing what the solid piece looks like under UV light

Greetings from Greece
Σπύρος Ζαχαρτζής the it might break from thermal shock
not might it would most definitely break
I know sone surgical instruments are cryogenically quenched.
I think the liquid nitrogen would simply just evaporate

How thin does the air have to be?
Asking for a friend
what do you mean thin? as much nitrogen as possible, and the smallest amount of water as possible. that's what the nitrogen compressor does.
Vertical Humor Really thin just add some water.
Well, the air is 78% nitrogen, so it's not like you're going to run out unless you're on a mountain, or underground.
you could also just use dry air (but then you would have 20% liquid oxygen)

I've got an experiment: would you be able to harvest tungsten from lightbulb filaments and melt it into solid tungsten?
He would need to achieve temperatures of 6200°F/3500°C. Brass and iron reach there melting point before they even reach 2000°F.
King Kunai check out Cody's Lab I don't think he did that but he's like a younger version of grant Thompson but with more college
Solid tungsten requires alot of heat, sadly grant doesnt have that kind of heat

It can be made if you can get the liquid nitrogen down to 48 kelvin. Could likely do that by evaporating liquid nitrogen under controlled conditions.

Jeff Stewart Ok thanks
I thought it was dry ice😂
Subway Booming - No, dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide, which is pretty cold, but substantially hotter than liquid nitrogen.

can you separate the 1% gases from the oxygen to purify the remaining gas as pure oxygen

You could increase the production rate slightly if you precooled the dry nitrogen gas and increased the flow rate proportionally.
