But it really matters? When this new 2 drones just came out?...

Been almost a decade since I actively played this game, but still miss and will never forget those times.
First discovered this game in 2009, came back to it in 2011 and for the next 2.5 years it was hands down the best MMO I played until they started getting greedy
This game was great like most people are saying from 2009-2011. I think what caused the downfall was the hardcore pay to win content that kept being released, and multi-faction clans. The amount of grinding to acquire some of the best content is actually insane, literally forces people to spend money if they want to compete. The most ship balance i've seen in D.O was when goli's and vengi's were the best ships, one for durability+power and the other for speed/hit and run.
Game died when bigpoint decided to take out jpa. Jpa was litteraly the only thing keeping the game alive by giving it some real tangible meaning. Players practiced. formed clans and teamspeak servers to win it. Whole communities were built around that. You could litteraly see the game slowly die off when they anounced that there will be nomore jpa. Imo best time was 2010-2011. Hunted with leo in enemy x2 with x1 and eco l0l.

darkrobit is all about botting nowadays. 95% ppl u see in game are bots that grind points and currency for some idiot that doesnt even enjoy the game. and those ppl pay like minium 15e/month for that (vertex), plus they prolly use uridium doubler and premium top of it, that makes like 25e spent evry month for game that you dont even play urself.
The fun fact about this is that even the music in pvp video has changed lol. I love the old school tho, i miss darkorbit 2010 when PureGewalt used to play...

2011 & 2014 best years of DO,i like 2009 version too but there were not many things you could do to apply a tactic/skill into fighting it was fun but not that competitive it was be full elite and kill the noobs.

Most of these events are so inaccurate that it hurts that you don't even know that some of these were released waaaay earlier than that. Just search up "DarkOrbit Pyroo0" and you'll see that the "2nd UI" is the 3rd UI and the PvP event has been a thing since 2009.
I joined in like 2008/2009 and I hope i never heard about this game back then. I was just 10/11 yrs old and had no chance to compete with p2w players which had jobs and everything. I was always behind. Making pauses. Then coming back. All those years behind. I deleted account. Then I came back and i am in full bot mode, i just make it for fun. 2 accounts, wondering if its worth buying monthly luxus daily offer pack to max out eventually. But usually when I start wondering if its good idea of paying in free to play game i delete that game soon after
Hi im looking for a game from my childhood, it was like this about spaceships but it was not some strategy. It was a simple game 3rd person Flying with ur ship on different missions on diff planets, all about just destroying enemies. Something i could write wrong so thanks for any help, oh ye and its prob from 2000-2010.
