- 64 year old Volvo still hard at work in the Arctic and now its Winter and time to plow the snow'
It is late in the day and the Arctic winter is mostly dark all the time, I have to snow plow the church yard ready for the village Christmas service. Not an easy job in the daylight, this is the first time I have plowed it in the dark and not a place to make a mistake.
Thank you.

Merry Christmas Sara, Simon, and Kasper. Looks as though your getting the worlds worth of snow. Still only rain here but thats ok.
God bless my friends. Take care. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Micheal, we hope you had a good Christmas and wish you all the best
@@arctic-rebel thank you my friend.
Your camera person did a great job !!🙌🙌👌👌👏👏👏
Thanks Robert, she did I am very proud of her.
🤠👍 Hi Simon. I miss them red christmas lights on the old lady. Red rear lights.
Because she is worth it.
Very good camerawork!
Take care, stay safe - all of you!.
The down side of having a camera Girl is you get to see the backside. It has never had working lights and they get smashed in the snow banks. Maybe one day I will get to new ones. The camera Girl was Charlotte who really did a good job. Thank you
🤠👍 Just like her father Charlotte is as good in front of the camera as behind it!
And I guess that behind you two there is Sarah, taking care of the ground sevices. Teamwork. 😁
Have a happy and safe New Year. From Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸🦅 No Snow Just Breeze !
Same to you, Thank you Kirby
love watching your videos
Thank you
Holy smokes Simon you are surely getting the snow keep up the good work still snow less here in Northern New hampshire take care and be safe up there
Thank you ad yes thankfully we are, long may it last.Take care
Thanks Simon, great camera work. Take care.
Thank you Mark, she was a star for getting so cold and do a good job. Stay safe my friend.
Bet your happy that you painted blade and bucket. Wheres the door? You really got the hang of it, takes some getting use to with a 2wd. Great camera setup as always🤠
Keep up the good work!
So happy to have painted them, they are working so much better. I took the door off after returning from the remote farm, I can see so much more with it off and knew I had to plow in the church yard and how tight it is. Thank you
I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas! I love the snow plowing videos!
We did Thank you.
Howdy Simon- so kind and considerate of you to plow around the church for the parishioners on Christmas Eve. I’m thinking you do a lot for the village people. Here’s wishing you and yours the very best in the coming year. God bless
God bless you Paul, I do what I can when I am asked there are good people. Have a Happy new Year my friend and Thank you.
Fortunately you had a camera person to assist... I'm hoping that helped cut down your outdoors time!
You know... my perverse mind was on the go again... those two black bollards at the stairs to the church... I couldn't help thinking of two oversized glasses of stout... yep, sorry... me not too well!
Happy weekend to you all up there in the far north... stay safe and warm!!
I did AJ and whilst it cut down my outside time she did get very cold. Ok so Bollards, we do not need them here for any reason, there are not bad people here, well only me. There are no thieves here, they are at the bottom of the river. They are flower pots for flowers to make the church entrance stairs look and smell nice in the summer. Thankfully we do not have Stout or anyone that drinks stout because they would be swimming with the fishes. Now you don't know if I am serious of pulling your plonker Rodney! Whist your thinking about have a great weekend and a very Happy New Year. Love you
@@arctic-rebel Me thinks Rodney's plonker has been pulled... hard!
Happy New Year to you all... I was hoping you'd be releasing an New Year's video... thus no HNY comment from me yet!
Mmmm... flower pots... no stout... bottom dwelling thieves such complexities in the village... smacks of a fresh explanatory episode!!!👍😁💥🤣
Merry Christmas to you guys☃🎅 You have more or less become the community caretaker Simon.. and I think you are the right man for the job👍 I gotta say.. I'm not religious in any way, shape or form, but seeing a beautiful church, especially the smaller wooden churches in Sweden and Norway, always makes me smile because of the pure beauty and architecture of the buildings ⛪ When they are illuminated both inside and outside, they can be an awsome sight. Hope you are doing great, and are enjoying the Christmas time🤗 Take care and keep warm😎
Thank you, I am just taking up the slack as one of the younger man left in the village. It is a stunning church which is next to the school so I see it everyday both inside and out. I also like to see these small wooden churches it is a wonderful lace to live. We are all doing great thanks for asking and send our best wishes in return.
top job mate good old bus that Volvo a lot of the new 1 will not be round in 64 years
Thanks Jimmy, I am sure it has another 20 years in it and no the new ones will be long since gone.
I know what it looks to hit something now . Im always on inside being tossed out of my seat .😂😂😂.and I'm counting on you to get taller snowbanks. I can get ones to 15 too 18 foot tall . Don't make me put a challenge out there. Besides the fact I can't because we still have 0 snow . 😂😂😂😂 thank you camera girl for helping him out 👊👍
LOL I knew you would see that, there is a huge rock there I was just not sure where but now we all know. I already now how high my snow banks are I have my main one right outside the yard entrance. Someone else raised this issue a few video's ago just you can both go jump in the same hole! Yes Charlotte did a great job considering it was her first time and it was very cold. Take Heith and thanks.
@@arctic-rebel 😄😄😄😄👊 I can't lie . I seen it and instantly went oooo that gonna leave a mark and giggled 🤭.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas! My snow removal equipment still sets idle. Have a wonderful New Year.
We did thank you, you also have a Happy New Year
What a beautiful Christmas Eve. You are a master at the controls of your machine. Great job. Thanks for sharing your video. Charlotte did a wonderful job behind the camera. Pats and scratches to Kaspar. Christmas hugs all around, from my family to yours. God Bless.
Alan & Beth
Hello Alan, thank you for your kind words we really appreciate it as always. We send you our very best wished and may you all be blessed this season of joy.
Wow Simon a new camera person? Good on you
Well for that video Dave, but she now knows how cold it gets and may not volunteer again!
She did a fabulous job!!! But with all the walking you do to produce it seems like you have a crew working?
No Dave, just me.@@mp3625
Where u live Lapland
Now your doing public spaces you really should have some rear lights and a back up light, even number plate leds on the back would be safer than nothing.
That is exactly why I like living in such a remote place, just a few years ago I was in public places with just a couple of candles and a yellow light with no lenses. Thank heavens places like this still exist for the peace of all humanity. Happy new year.
Wow Simon! Epic snow plowing …. Was that Charlotte helping out with the camera? We’re in Fiordland doing the 3 Sounds…amazing with the rain that has been constant there a numerous waterfalls popping up everywhere. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. ❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪
Hi Anne, yes it was Charlotte doing an excellent job given the conditions and her first time behind the camera. She also got very cold real fast. I am so pleased your trip is going well and hope you had as good as Christmas as we did. Best wishes to you both.
@@arctic-rebel fantastic work Charlotte! Definitely rug up for sure next time❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪
What is your machine? It seems to be very versatile. Ive seen the bucket and the snow blade in use.
Hi, If you go back through my 250 videos you will see just how versatile it is. It is a Volvo BM LM225. It tales some seat time to learn how to drive them but once you have it they are amazing machines. They do roll over real easy if you get into a ditch though. Thank you and Happy new year.
Hello sir
this was realy nice work for comunity.
It would be nice to know in wich town is this feritale church If you could tell.
I would like to look on Google maps and see that church and town around.
You know I dont have a lot of money, so I can travel only by Google maps around the world.
no hard feelings sir .
all the best.
Is the Volvo gas or diesel?
