He represents the hours of unbridled fun I spend as a kid, coming home from school and playing on my console instead of doing homework. I often struggled a lot with socializing and making friends, and it also didn’t helped that most other kids found me weird. It was until I was a little older that I learned I actually had autism But with Sonic, I didn’t had to worry about being seen as weird or fitting in. To be honest, we never had a complete/canonic origin for Sonic or Silver, we know about Shadow that he is the supreme life form, he was created and blah blah blah, but... what about these two? Where do their powers come from, where did Sonic get his ideas from, why does he usually travel and run alone? I hope Sega and Sonic Team address this topic in the future, it would be really cool to see a origin game of our blue hero (Don't get me wrong, Sonic 1 is cool but the only story it gives is that Sonic, a super speedster wants to beat an evil doctor who is... evil, but what about his creation, like the fantasy story not the lore behind the scenes)
