In this Photoshop tutorial, I will teach you how to use overlays in Photoshop. We're going to build 4 Photoshop projects, starting with a very simple and easy composite using just one overlay and building toward more stunning effects with each project.
You’ll learn how to use simple overlays in Photoshop, and how to manipulate them into more stunning effects. You’ll also learn how to use my Glow Actions and how to add shadow overlays in Photoshop using the new neural filters and displacement with depth maps.

Hi! Great tutorial! Just a question: I already bought a lot of your packages at Creator Foundry, but I'm missing the glow actions... is it possible to buy the single package? Thanks!
Ty
Hi just seen one of your ads I can honestly say I'm sad to say I don't care how good anyone is at taking photos no one and I mean no one would ever be able to take a good photo of me I am shocking when I have photos taken of me be hubby or friends it never never ever looks anything like me there truly awful I mean there worse than chandler in friends when Joey has to step in for wedding shots I'm that bad lol no joke
Kelvin Designs, I have recently (yesterday) purchased your Lightroom brush presets, but everyone time I try to install them, I get an error window entitled "Import Error" pop-up, stating "Some files could not be imported" and in the list of your preset template files displayed in the window it reads "Not a valid file" ???
I purchased the presets as I intended to use them immediately for a time-sensitive editing project, and need to finish these edits ASAP to meet client requests and for use in my portfolio to launch new Facebook page for my business... i.e. the purchase was intended to expedite my work process, not hinder it! This is now causing delays instead of my intention which was to accelerate my post production output! Please respond ASAP I have sent emails to the help desk support! Please assist!!
They fix your problem?
Did you get it installed via my support email?

hahahhah
I haven't got camera raw, how would you change image?
Hi Kevin. Where did you get the photo of the lady in the gold dress because it's not included in the downloads for the tutorial? Thanks, Dave
Apologies - "Kelvin"
Hey finde ich irgendwo ein Video, wie man die Glow Action sinnvoll und richtig anwenden kann? Dankeschön.
Thank you so much!! I'm an overlay buyer. I needed a manual, but thank you so much. However, the source file linked to this video is not downloaded. I really want to download it. Please check it out.
Hi, did you get your files?
@@KelvinDesigns iooiiiii
Hello, please tell me how to save the Screen layer separately in PS😅thanks
30:30, since a decade, I’m waiting for, Adobe making it additional (!) possible to use a layer as displacement map. Can’t understand, why it still needs to be a separate file. In Affinity Photo this was like so since ever.
I KNOW!!! UGH!
Talks too fast to follow. Have to start and stop the video too much.
Thanks so much for sharing these!! Just bought the holiday package from you, and I’ll now be able to use them with a lot more knowledge!!
Thank you! Yeah, I really like this collection :-)

Man, you are very bad in selecting in photoshop
Thank you...How can I get your glow actions??
They are part of my Creating Mind-Blowing Composites In Photoshop bundle. I added it at the end as even though they are single click actions, some people asked me to show them how to use them. The bundle is here: www.kelvindesigns.com/creating-mind-blowing-composites

This was a great tutorial. For my 2023 calendars I’m planning on creating composition images for it instead of using regular photos, and this video gave me a lot of very good ideas. Please continue creating more content like this that inspires myself and others to move in new directions with our creativity.
Thank you! I will!
I cant add the overlay to the library any idea why?
Thanks Kelvin shame that the third young lady wasn't in the down load but got heaps of info watching the tutorial.
With the last tutorial, where is the glow effect?

Awesome tutorial!! Where can we find the example images to follow along?
I added them to the download file that is linked in the video. There's one of the four that I can't give away, as it belongs to Shutterstock, but you can get it from there: www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/pretty-beautiful-woman-brunette-hair-natural-1695648628
@@KelvinDesigns Thanks for the quick reply! I downloaded the file and it only has the overlays and not the test pictures.
Nevermind, I just re-downloaded the file and they are now there! Thank you!!
Yes sorry, I was updating the file :-)
@@KelvinDesigns I am following your tutorial step by step and you are a phenomenal teacher! Please keep uploading amazing content!! And if you could do something with super cool retro futuristic neon city styles, I would greatly appreciate it! I bought your package with neons and want to really start using it for everything I can!
Absolutely incredible. New fan,, new customer :D
Awesome! Thank you!
Can't complete "free" course unless you buy your glow actions. Am I missing something?
Actions are pre-made scripts for the steps you would complete manually to create a glow. You don't need the actions to complete the free course. As a student of Kelvin's program I did both. I saved my work, used the actions to create the glows, then did a revert on my PSD and learned how to do it manually. I did a triangle the second time for variation.
I actually teach you how to do this without the action in the video...

You're a great teacher! Love your tutorials! I can follow along very well. Inspiring to my creativity.
Apologies for the ‘dislike’ - it was a slip off the finger
😉
You can also setup the scene with white lights and AO on and bake all that info to the models to use as base vale to start drawing from. Awesome video!
That's a great idea!
Of these 4 example, the After is far worse. The first 3 Befores are wonderful.
thanks for the feedback!
