I'm sure most of your followers are young, hip, fun, and cool people, and here I am...a 60 year old grandma from North Dakota! I just wanted to tell you I think you are a fabulous artist and all around good and kind person from what I can see! (I've been binge watching!) Love your channel and you inspire me to get creative. You're so fun to watch. Thank you and I hope life gives you and your sweet wife more and more love, laughter and success! Bless you!
TenHun you can lay down clear medium with fabric medium down first to smooth out your surface and make it so your paint doesn’t get sucked into the fabric so much. Make sure it’s not a fluid medium. Just like you used the heavy paint - use a regular paint medium. Hope that helps with your painting!
So you can use a clear medium with gac 900 as a bottom layer then you can paint your production over, by using the clear medium dies that fill in spots so the paint won't absorb and you have cracks. Question why when i use heavy body acrylic and gac 900 i get a matte finish, should i use a medium to give it a lil gloss.
I love to see more artists just putting art on anything they find. I've been doing glasses, canvas bags, shoes, vcrs....etc...but I love all the tips you put out there...I definitely will be checking out that fabric medium
Hello Ten Hun, I've done a jacket with acrylic and textile medium, what I have noticed is that you have to add at least too layers in the background so your paints do not get absorbed and you can paint easier on it, the positioning is perfect as the art will be a bit stiff thus is better to have a oversized jacket and heat set with a ironing machine by putting baking paper on top of it and iron the back, your one looks awesome. Best of luck!
Hey Ten! I’m not sure if it would be a topic you would be interested in covering in a video, but I’m wondering if you could talk about how to price your work? Especially for newer artists or people who are just starting to sell their custom pieces (particularly custom clothes), how do you figure out how to price them? And how to avoid underselling your work? Thanks!
I’m glad you finally did make a denim jacket me and my mom have been doing jackets she’s doing more embroidery jackets and I’m the paint chick I get frustrated because you’re so right the paint gets sucked in and you end up using lots of paint to get the effects you like thanks for the paint suggestions
A trick i use when painting a denim jacket is to use an ironing board, i place some parchment under the jacket then button it up at the back but it gives it a nice flat back to paint on. i have to stand up nut thats not all bad
Yooo, thank you so much for posting this video (and your other one about GAC 900). I'm new to painting, let alone on fabric. I usually paint lips on fabric, and remix it from there, and I've had so much trouble trusting some fabric paints because I have a particular paint I'm used to working with. I heard of GAC900 through you and I can't wait to use it and share this shit with you guys, so many thanks from Canada! HUGE congratulations to you and thank you for sharing/continuing to share your journey with us! Can't wait to see more from you!
Loved this design. I paint my own jackets too. You can get some really high quality fabric acrylics but its always good to thin them out with GAC 900 rather than water. Building the paint up in this layers mean your artwork last longer. 🤓
Super cool! Love your work Ten! I use a watered down thin layer of clear gesso or white gesso. It won't suck up your paint so much. I find that it doesn't make my jackets so stiff either. Never tried the Gac900. I will have to look into that. Maybe it can make a difference for my jackets. Thanks for your entertainment and knowledge. Keep on creating!
That looks aesome! It scares the crap out iof me. Not in a good way....but I have a couple of jackets that I dont wear so im going to paint on them. Thanks for the tutorial!
Yoo TenHun, as the year is coming to an end you should do a yearly recap video where you montage through all of your art/projects over 2019. That would be really cool!
That product came out dope, question can you add a clear coat to protect the art work? Also as you painting do you heat dry the jacket thru each application or do you just wait until you done and throw it in the dryer. Do you always use heavy body acrylics?
If you build up your base coat thin to thicker til it seals... u wont have the absorption problem. While i never heard of gac 900 i have painted a lot of denims.
Hey so when I paint my denium jacket it's still kind of sticky even after let it sit for a couple of days you think it could be the fabric medium of not using to much I'm using liquitex basic paint
tip for anyone who doesn't wanna spend money on the medium. You can mix shaving foam with acrylic and that'll create some really nice fabric paint too; my friends and i used that to paint my violin case.
I actually FOR THE FIRST TIME how you presented your sponsor. Haven't given too much time to to them. Thought about it. But you made me check them out. I believed you😂. Good idea. Love ALL your stuff👌💯
Dude this is sick. I can draw my ass off but painting is something I have to master. This is my new hobby. I'm going to make tons of cash decorating clothing.
The main reason you have such difficulty with dedicated fabric paints is because the best quality fabric paints (E'tac Private Stock, Createx Wicked Detail colors, and Aqua Flow) are actually multi-surface paints that are designed specifically for airbrushing, not brush painting. The coverage of these paints, along with the brightness of color and soft hand feel, plus the durability through washing (when properly heat-set) are top notch. I especially like airbrushing leather jackets with these paints for their permanence.

That looks so cool!
I dig these smaller projects
What a great way to get in to the holiday spirit! 👍😉
Thanks in a million. Awesome. 💥
Love 💕 that jacket , I am a big horror fanatic
Acrylic holds up on clothing. I painted a jean jacket for my Dad over 20 yrs ago and he still wears it. My sister used to paint shoes too.
The one dislike is the person who couldnt pause at the right time to catch the message in the beginning.
And the other 15 people? lol
@@triz313 😂😂😂 lolll idk maybe they couldnt either
I did, I did!,,
So cool! My first video I watched of yours was your last jean jacket painting and I’ve followed ever since :)
Jeepers creepers would’ve been pretty cool🖤
Michael Myers and leather face
Also is your name yanny?
bro I honestly haven't even finished the video but I feel an extreme need to just say SICK! you inspire me...
great design , love it
Your artwork is amazing dude !
thanks this has helped me transfer my designs to clothing. Gac 900 baby
Love your videos . Learn so much from you. You inspired me to start my own mural and custom art business.
Nice!
I listen to Audible also when I'm painting. If you like Stephen King try the "Dark Tower" series. It's really good. :)
Super cool

Wow awesome denim jacket !!!
Appreciate it
Dang all this time I was running out getting fabric paint and all I had to do was get that GAC 900 .Never heard of it before Thanks for the tip!

Gac 900?
Learned something.
Thx!
Not sure if you're an evil dead fan, but an ash jacket would be *sick*. I might do one of my own but the idea of working on fabric is daunting to me.
Dude this is sick. I can draw my ass off but painting is something I have to master. This is my new hobby. I'm going to make tons of cash decorating clothing.
I saw your art somewhere elses and trailed all the way to here :) I like your art and you're damn funny guy xD
Thanks!

Pinhead was my dude growing up. And for some reason the old lady from the poltergeist movies keeps popping up in my head. Great job as always.

R G Οχι 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hiiii, not sure this was answered but how long did you wait until placing the jacket in the dryer? Or was the paint dried enough you didn’t need it?
Bro you are awesome
