    I hate to break it to you guys, but you could have left the salamanders in a moist, shady area of your garden. But, so darn sweet of you two to make sure they had a good home. I swear that one wanted to come home with you! He looked so sad to see you go.

    What a great place to stay while the work is being done! Absolutely beautiful. I felt your pain seeing the strimming, the grass gets long very quickly doesn't it? We're looking forward to seeing how much produce you get from your vegetable patch. As you know, homegrown always tastes better!

      Thank you 😊. So far the vegetables are not off to a great start 😂. But we are hoping for the best. This is our first attempt.

      @@nibbletouch7566 We found ours started slowly but now they seem to get bigger every day! Some rain followed by warm/hot weather really makes a difference. Unfortunately the weeds love that as well and at the start you need to let everything grow until you can tell what it is and if you want it there! If you're not sure what something is try a plant identifier app, they can be helpful.

      @@ourlittlebulgarianadventure haha thank you. This has been our exact problem. When we saw that loads of the stuff growing was growing elsewhere in areas we hadnt planted anything, it was safe to assume it's a weed, that has been a battle. We have some tomatoes growing though. At least you can use tidy them by smelling the leaves too. Thanks

    The lake looked lovely and the view from your property towards the hills 💕 I forgot how nice it was. I bet striking the grass was satisfying,it was so long. Was it a toad under the mud? Lovely vlog,take care

      We didn't discover what was under the mud in the end, we w atched it for quite a while. It was funny how all the worms could hear it and were surfacing to escape.

    Is there a Bulgarian/Turkish connection ?
    I've been looking at some properties for sale online and some of them had Turkish flags in their homes.

      Hi, thanks for watching. No there's no Turkish connection 😁

    • @alwayslearning7672
      @alwayslearning7672 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Ottomans controlled the whole Balkans and Bulgaria for 500 years ,so yes, there is very big Turkish connection.They are the second largest ethnic group in Bulgaria.About half a million. Most are in southern parts.

    What kind of fruits can one grow in that region?

    • @nibbletouch7566
      @nibbletouch7566  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have cherry trees, plums, apples pears. We've seen strawberries, raspberries, mulberries. I'm sure there's others but those are what spring to mind for fruits. 😁

    • @iliyandimitrov2882
      @iliyandimitrov2882 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In Bulgaria, wherever you are, you can grow any kind of fruit except those listed above, apricots, greens, grapes, watermelons, melons and vegetables too
      Without the exotic fruits that are imported such as bananas, kiwis, oranges, tangerines and some vegetables, but generally everything else wherever you plant it will catch
      I really liked how you made elderberry juice that you collected with scissors
