For the boys lunch snacks, mini pretzels, gold fish, raisins, veggies/dip or make your own trail mix, get the boys to help decide what to put in it (M&M, raisins, nuts, banana chips, crasins, dried fruits and chocolate chips) for some suggestions, I use to make wraps sometimes instead of sandwiches, I hope this gives you some ideas
You are so sweet the way you include us Mums with Adult children or Grandparents as we get to feel a part of your Family even though we are no longer in that season of life we love watching your Children grow and it brings back so many memories ❤️
I love seeing the prices and comparing them to our prices in the Seattle area. Sometimes your prices are less expensive than here. I order clothing and socks on the Costco website most of the time. Really convenient and if they don't have my size in the store they usually do online. It's usually free shipping on clothing and they ship really fast. If you don't like what you order, you can just return on your next shopping trip. Thanks for the videos!
This was a fun video. Seeing you do this without Everett was different, but you did it! Change is hard, especially with our babies but, you did great. You got out of there cheap today! I thought it was a lot more. Your personality it really coming out and it’s so heartwarming. Thank you Lauren.
It seemed weird for me you going through Costco and no Everett jibber jabber I missed him he's a character I bet you felt lonely too or relieved I remember those days I really liked it for a while and then I missed it God bless take care love you all
My kiddos are older but I remember trying to pack for school lunches and trying to be creative. It’s so hard but you always do such a great job. Love watching you and your family.
How about make your own lunchables for your boys. Fruit kabobs or meat and cheese kabobs. Veggie dips with ranch or peanut butter or you can have the kids make them the night before that should be fun 😊 463.89 Love your Sweater. Where did you get it
Great video! Loved seeing our special guest Gary, I think I was excited as you were when he popped on screen. And always a joy seeing Everett’s smiling face 😊
We don't have pilot bread. I noticed it on one of your last videos and googled it then. It sounds interesting and I'd try it if we had it here. Glad you found the socks!
So full of energy coming home from school. He's missed Mum too! Lunches? My children are 39 & 36 now. I never packed my children lunches, & here's why : My Daughter turned "2" the summer we moved here. When she went to Kindergarten, she left home after having a healthy breakfast the children arrived to school & enjoyed a breakfast with their classroom. They also had a cafeteria where there was a really nice lunch prepared for them. The parents were invited to have lunch with their child/children so the parents could see how nice the lunches were. I'd say these kids were well fed. For snacks I had everything in from fresh fruits, fresh veggies to dunk in ranch dressing, homemade cookies, Bundt cake, cupcakes, full course dinners, homemade soups, cheese, crackers, lunch meats to slice up for crackers, chicken salad, pepperonis for cheese & crackers or on homemade pizza, popcorn, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, potatoes for the grill. Except for wild game, I had everything in. They didn't eat deer meat. They always knew, & I would make it like a beef roast. The only time they ate it was when it was ground up & I made a meatloaf. Sorry - I wasn't much help. I think you have a really great selection of snacks for the Boys, compared to what they had years ago available. We had a garden too. Enjoyed wilted lettuce, tomatoe sandwiches. I don't see any children enjoying a rice cake with peanut butter spread on it, & apple slices on the side anymore. Enjoyed meeting your friends at the Costco. Have a good week.
A great haul, per usual. I would love to see you do a try on haul from Costco to see what the good clothing finds are. And so happy to hear Everett is enjoying school!
My daughter is 10 and I usually give her a sandwich or an uncrustable. Sometimes she wants lettuce wraps so I give her romaine leaves with a couple slices of turkey or ham and cheese. For sides she loves cheese sticks, gogurt, chobani flips, fruit snacks, fruit roll ups, rice krispie treats, grapes, cantalope, strawberries, raspberries, oranges, jello cups, pudding snacks, veggie straws, gold fish, teddy grams, ritz bitz sandwich crackers.......I could go on and on lol But this should give you a good variety so you don't get bored!
My daughter wouldn’t eat bread when taking school lunches so I used to make up pasta/cous cous or rice and mix in salad veg and a protein such as chicken or prawns. She was happy to eat this cold. Also used to send a wide thermos with a thick soup in.
I know you can’t order a mattress from Costco, but could you ask the manager when they might have them and encourage him to get them in perhaps🤗. Put on the Alaska charm🦋
HI LAUREN , Love your Shopping Hauls, really missed Everett, but great to see him after School, Hope Mark, Hunter had a Great Time and are Safely Home, Ur Banana Muffins loved lovely, till the Next luv to u all 💖❤️
we have 2 Walmart bout 10 miles apart n 1carries some stuff n other carries other stuff I personally think it to make use both stores?? idk but my daughter in aw has to go to the ft ihave one to get scrubs n bullhead city used to carry. n she needed the n works in the bullhead city store
Pilot bread (or "biscuit de mer" (sea cookie)) is not commonly sold where I live. Same for "pain d'ammunition" (amo bread, its military counterpart). There are just nicer things to eat and no Alaskan wilderness. I think they are still found in military rations as their modern iterated format as "pain de campagne" which can be both translated as "countryside bread" and "mission bread".
Cooked sausage, pineapple chunk, chunk of cheese on a stick? Skewer with mozzarella balls, baby tomato, baby pickled onion.... Homemade sausage rolls are great cold Shredded cheese with spring onion bound in mayo and on a bread roll or lettuce leaf....we call that cheese savoury here in the UK Tuna, red onion, red pepper bound in mayo and stuffed in a pita bread
Loved your haul today but like others miss Evert...if you would...please give us your banana bread recipe...I could not find...thanks for sharing to us in North Carolina...GOD BLESS...
So for my grandbabies I put a hot dog in there I'll do like ham sandwiches I'll do an everything bagel with ham and bacon and cream cheese on it but I'm struggling the same And at my Walmart we pay $26 a pound for bananas
I really enjoy your videos Lauren. You are such an ambassador for all things Alaska. And you're so pleasant to listen to! I'm glad you include Miss Luna in each video...she's quite the girl..
I just love your videos. It was so special going with you and your family out to your cabin, and all the things you did with your boys and your husband. I appreciate you inviting us all along. Thanks so much
Don't know about Costco, but usually bananas are 69 cents a pound. The organic carrots you purchased, I paid 10.99 for those. For my grandkids lunches, sometimes they take chicken strips (either alone or on a wrap)
Hi Laura! When my youngest son was in elementary and middle school he would get tired of sandwiches so I would put meat stick/jerky with chunks of cheese with a few crackers instead. I’ve never heard of that bread. I really need to go to Costco to get some of those clothes they are super cute. I’m down 95 lbs now and my closest is so bare. I donated all of my clothes that was to big. I don’t need them there as a crutch because I’m not going back only forward. How are you doing with yours? I would love a update and any new items you have found and love. Have a great week Hamm family. Much love from Arkansas ( we are in the 80’s this week!!! Yay!)
I’d say it’s hard to keep making sandwiches for the 4 boys lunches ! Kids get tired of things fast !! But you do a great job with the sandwiches and snacks ! We don’t have a Costco in my town , I think there is one about an hour away , but I’ve never heard of Sailor Bread before ! Shopping without Everett is different , and him tasting all the samples ( sampies) as he used to call them !! Glad he’s liking school and doing good and Luna also ! Great video with the difference between the 2 stores ! Blessings to you all Lauren !!
Surprise them with a little note from mom in there lunch box. Also the trend with kids today around here is like homemade lunchables my grand daughter who is 10 loves to fix hers. All kinds of fruit and veggies with a veggy dip. Avocado singles and crackers. So many things. Lunch meat roll ups. She has one of the boxes that departments in it.
I always had lunch at the school. But some kids would have like noodles/soup in a thermos, a walking taco type thing could be easy or like a taco salad, pasta in a thermos or like a bagel pizza. Not everyday but just to switch it up a little here and there.
Love your haul I miss Evertte when you go Costco shopping especially when he is looking for samples. There is a school bus shortage everywhere. My boyfriend bus company just got sold. He has been working 6 days a week doing regular routes and sports team. ❤
Lauren, Costco's FIRST shop just opened today in Auckland NZ, Wednesday 28th September, 2022. It's a 7-8 hr car trip from my city, so sadly won't be going there, but apparently there are plans for more so maybe in a few years time I may be able to shop in one.....
A king is exactly 2 Twins! Do you not like the Turkey and Ham from the tall, refrigerated section amidst the freezer stuff. There is usually cheese, precooked bacon, hotdogs, etc there. AND I've never heard of Pilot bread. What is it?
I’ve been using Greek Pitas or Naan bread instead of sliced bread for my son. Can use for sandwiches or make pizzas out of them. Super yummy and changes it up a bit.
We had to order on Amazon to get pilot bread for my brother he hadn't seen them anywhere for years and had mentioned them and a few other difficult to find things. We made up a special box for him for Christmas one year with all the things we could find.
Here in Missouri I finally tried the Dare brand lemon sandwich cookies!! They disappeared in 2 days. Found the chocolate ones and didn't really like them. Will have to try the maple!
We do not have Pilot Bread or Maple cookies in Arlington, Texas. It is so interesting to see the different items from your area. You are eating the gourmet fish and my husband loves fish. I would love to see fishing videos. Alaska is so beautiful and you are so blessed.
Beautiful color sweater Lauren. That’s a sock obsession. I thought that checkered black and white shirt was from Costco. Looks like your Costco haul was a bit different this time. The price was crazy but still you can’t beat Costcos clothing prices.
So glad we got to see Everett and Ms Luna too ❤️😄👍 how about getting a life size cutout of Everett for your Costco trips 🤔👍😂. No we do not have sailor bread in Colorado. And I love those socks, so gonna look at my local Costco or order online😄😄
We missed your sweet little buddy with that little smile
For the boys lunch snacks, mini pretzels, gold fish, raisins, veggies/dip or make your own trail mix, get the boys to help decide what to put in it (M&M, raisins, nuts, banana chips, crasins, dried fruits and chocolate chips) for some suggestions, I use to make wraps sometimes instead of sandwiches, I hope this gives you some ideas

Please pray for my Sister in Florida, she is working in the ER at the Hospital where Hurricane is due to hit Florida.

Lauren..blue is definitely your color!
Yes. I agree so pretty in that color .
I wasn't going to say anything more but I just love that cat every time I see it just adorable
Spring loaded ice cream scoops make cupcakes and what you are doing so much easier and faster!
Do glad I got to see you Everett. I miss you. You do well in school buddy.
This was a fun video. Seeing you do this without Everett was different, but you did it! Change is hard, especially with our babies but, you did great. You got out of there cheap today! I thought it was a lot more. Your personality it really coming out and it’s so heartwarming. Thank you Lauren.

I am so jealous. In Texas it's been in the high 90's.. Today is our first day of fall weather it's 88. I am loving it.
Good morning. Try packing raviolis. Hot dogs with mac and cheese. Hamburgers chicken salad. Ham salad
Never heard of pilot bread❤️🇨🇦

Oh. So happy to see Everett!! Such a cutie. Glad he's liking kindergarten
If you have Amazon prime you could get the twin box spring sent right to your door for about $80 👍
So happy I got to see Everett!! And no Costco haul would be complete without Miss Luna to inspect everything!! Loved this!!❤️❤️❤️🙂🙂🙂
We don't have pilot bread. I noticed it on one of your last videos and googled it then. It sounds interesting and I'd try it if we had it here. Glad you found the socks!
During Halloween and Xmas, I'd use my biggest cookie cutters and cut cut shapes in their sandwiches? I'd surprise them with which ones.
G[d idea
That is such a good idea
Thanks for sharing all you do.

Everett is such a cutie pie...brings a smile to your face watching him...he is so full of energy...just precious 🤗🤗❣
Box springs are out as in not being made its a trend for fluff and slab vs bouncy. So you will rarely see them in a furniture store or online.

I am in total agreement with you. This year is going by way to fast as it is they don't need to rush it
Beautiful color sweater Lauren. That’s a sock obsession. I thought that checkered black and white shirt was from Costco.
