Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I thought you said blink does not offer a live view. If so that is not correct I have a couple of blink outdoor cameras and they have live view for so many seconds and then it asked you if you want to continue so it indeed does have live view. What you can't do is go back over time and see anything other than the events that were recorded on the blink.
I’ve had a lot of connectivity and lag issues with my Blink cameras. Sometimes it doesn’t even record when I walk right through the front yard. The doorbell camera definitely hasn’t lasted anywhere near 2 years. Usually I get about 4-6 months out of the batteries.
I'm researching before I buy a system. Please, can I use a wyze cam og zoom camera on it's own, which wyze model uses a battery - is it outdoor? Thanks so much.
Hey! All of Wyze's stuff is designed to work independently. If you just want one standalone OG camera, you won't need anything other than that camera. As far as battery-only stuff goes, Wyze just announced that its newest camera is battery powered www.wyze.com/products/wyze-battery-cam-pro?related_selling_plan=41618559008930 (But most of them need to stay plugged in to work)
My wyze cameras last longer than my blink. I also like that wyze are rechargeable and the night vision on wyze is so much better. Cant wait to get the 2k wyze
If the battery life is all that blink is better at, thats not saying much. You definitely have to change your settings to even get close that two year operating time and at which point the camera is basically useless for its purpose. At the settings i have now it barely catches incidents especially is they are one after another and I have to change batteries about every 3 months or so. Wyze is looking pretty good especially with that panning camera.

I hate my blink!! The 10 sec clips have missed so much!! Plus they don't trigger right away.

The only thing that I have heard about blink is that the audio is much better. That right there that's worth something
So for the blink batteries have lasted 6 months. If I turn it really far down it may last longer, but then what is the point of having them.

Out of the two I own a full blink system and I’m willing to switch to wyze just for some new tech!

Blink allows live view whenever you want it. Some misinformation in here.

Blink is pretty underwhelming, for sure. It also has a pan and tilt camera, but it's more like a mount for the Blink Mini and is inside only.
Wyze
I recently dropped blink their customer service is absolutely awful
I have Blink ......And I hate it
