I relate to the freshman girl with very much. Everyone thinks that I am this reaalllyyy outgoing extrovert, (even I consider myself so, a little bit 😅) but the reality is that despite it being in my very nature to listen and understand others, be their shoulder to lean on, and being everyone's friend, I too have my down points. Sometimes even I need someone who is genuinely interested to listen to my thoughts and troubles. Everyone in my group just assumes that because I have a lot of friends, I don't have any problems, and often forget to ask me how I feel. When I try to whine about any of my problems, the tables usually turn and I am the one on the listening end. What these guys don't realise is that I am a very sensitive person, once I genuinely open up. I take things that are said to me to heart. I know that I shouldn't feel so, and that I should just listen to their light hearted teasing and jokes from one ear and let it come out through the other, (due to the various experiences I have had with many ppl) But that is difficult.
