The changes to racial-specific stuff sound interesting. I'm not sure how tabletop D&D does it these days, but it seems to me that your choice of race doesn't have enough of an impact in BG3 - both positively and negatively. From what I understand, the only real drawback we currently have is for the short races, who'll (understandably) get less movement speed ... but that's about it. Haven't played a full blown drow yet, but I'm pretty sure player character drow don't suffer from sunlight sensitivity for example. Boons also seem to be quite weak but since movement speed is pretty important and stays relevant for the entire game, I've been playing wood elves/half wood elves way too often and I've completely ignored the shorties. Although, that might have more to do with romance-related stuff - romancing Karlach as a gnome is probably funny AF, but also seems a bit odd... :)
Currently playing as a Storm Giant (Thor Class). So much fun. I highly recommend DND5E Race expanded mod. Death Knight is probably my favorite class but so many to choose from.
Honestly this looks better than D&D 5.5 Being able to cast any spell at level 1 is a cool idea if balanced correctly (for example by adjusting area, duration etc properly) For example a level 1 Silence could affect a 5x5 ft square for 1 round and would still be balanced and allow for niche uses (like casting it stealthily on the location of a spellcaster)
Hey, I'm glad you're interested! Balance is something that I really wanted to focus on when making the mod, and many Spells indeed work exactly how you describe here, by adjusting duration, area of effect, damage, etc per upcast. I've also included a new addition to the UI which shows you from character creation how each Spell upcasts when you expand their tooltips, for clarity when creating your character and selecting Spells. It should be, yes. I've spent an absolute ton of time focusing on balancing the mod out. On average, you should expect it to be slightly harder than the base game.
"Why was the game not like this in the beggining???? " what sort of comment is this? Game is perfect, the mod goes a but away from dnd insane crazy big mod but a different game almost in terms of mechanics, same story same engine different mechanics, if they had a new new story thst would be great, don't call it bg4 call it An amazing mod wich is nonetheless.
Dude, I have a channel devoted to Baldur’s gate 3 and Larian studios, I know how amazing the game already is, but doesn’t mean we can’t theorise other scenarios for what could have been implemented.
Hello! The level 20 mod isn't implemented, and each class does end their progression at level 12. Though, it is compatible still. For anything past level 12, you'll simply need to multiclass if using it.
Hey there! I've put in a ton of measures to ensure that while the player is more powerful, the enemies are too. Balance is a huge priority for me when pushing updates. Most players tend to say it's more difficult than the base game.
Well, your first mistake is to be too bold by pretending I'm going to download this mod immediately after this video. But you go even further by proposing this is somekind of Baldur's Gate 4, an entire new adventure and game. It's not your intention but indirectly, you seem unaware and ungrateful about the real creators of this game. In fact, I do not feel that Baldur's Gate 3 of all game would need mods to begin with because of the content already there, changing numbers everywhere doesn't make it better or worthy of trying it. I can't get my head around the content already there with almost 1000 hours into the game. In fact, it's more about a whim and desire from gamers. The labor of love comes from Larian studios. The game is already satisfying as it is and fun, at least for me. Modifying a video game from someone else does not make you a creator.
Dude it’s tongue in cheek, don’t let it get to you like that, it wasn’t intended. I’ve been making videos on Baldur’s gate 3, and Larian, for a while now and I think it’s quite apparent how much I love the game, and how much respect and admiration I have for Larian Studios. This mod has been in creation for over a year, with hundreds if not thousands of hours invested into making it what it is, that in itself shows how much love there is for the base game, taking on a project like this, with no reward, all for the love of the game and wanting to extend its life.
Wew, someone is grumpy, remember, its important to eat a healthy meal and exercise to be more happy. Also, people making mods such as these or even smaller scale one are 100% creator. They made something new to bring to life their vision. If it is not creation i have no idea what it is. Even if they use someone else base for their work.

@@tedhollingshead3173 thx I will absolutely try it out, tbh I tracked it on Nexus few months ago but never actually tried it out , I will definitely give it a shot on my next run and hope patch 8 is compatible with the mod
based on how this is looking its defs not going to be on console. it does look amazing tho
Yeh very unlikely unfortunately 😢
Edit: I was wrong.Best feature of the mod for me is encounters surprises you but also; If you ever felt subclasses plays the same, lose interest in encounters in the late stages of the act or do you love thinking about your builds(made for Multiclassing) this mod is a must. It opens the game more while keeping the same vanilla experience a you dont fell feel overpowered(not in first 6 lvl :))
Hello! I want my mod to convey all new mechanics to the player as clearly as possible. When you say it "muddies the mechanics" do you mean you felt as though things were unclear? I've included interactive tooltips wherever possible to provide the player with info, though if you feel I missed the mark somewhere, please do let me know so I can make further improvements. :D
@@tedhollingshead3173 First of all; great mod thank you. I had a horrible day/month. Although i haven't played more then couple fights with the mod or read changes, I wrote that stupid comment. Sorry, I wasn't thinking.
the things that are In my head as I am writing those word were; spells and gears being 'too useful/effective' and some feats abit overpowered. Which is stupid i know:) I dont have to take those ones that i dont like and, they are not overpowered just well tuned :) plus it is a mod ..duhh :D. I played a bit more and i loved it . Arcne trickster fells good now. I can see how sublasses with reworked/new feats can make them thematic and mechanically satisfying.
My head was not in the right place again sorry. Nothing i said can be taken as a any form of criticism at all. I will edit the comment. Thank you
@ Nah, no worries at all! I hadn't taken offense to it or anything. I hope you're doing well and if you ever need to talk (even if about stuff other than the mod) you can reach out. Whatever's going on, I wish you the absolute best.
Console mod when? Sounds awesome
Unlikely any time soon I’m afraid 😢
Do you have any up-to-date guide on How to mod with nexus mods?
Go to my channel and look for my video on how to install mods, it’s a step by step walkthrough. It’s about 6 months old, but it’s still the same process 😊 Let me know if you need any help at all!
is this mod balance?
It should be, yes. I've spent an absolute ton of time focusing on balancing the mod out. On average, you should expect it to be slightly harder than the base game.
@tedhollingshead3173 oh, you're the creator of this mod, thank you so much for your work . This is the kind of mod im looking for :D
Yeh it’s balanced from the testing I’ve done, and actually much more challenging than the vanilla game
What are the chances that this would be available on consoles?
Probably quite unlikely unfortunately as it changes basically every element of the game. But if that changes I’ll let you know 😊
Does this also incorporate the L1 to L20 mod, or at least support it?
Hello! The level 20 mod isn't implemented, and each class does end their progression at level 12. Though, it is compatible still. For anything past level 12, you'll simply need to multiclass if using it.
hope this is on the mod manager or console would be a game changa
Yeh it’s not currently, but who know for the future 🤞
Will this ever be coming to console? If not might have to consider switching to pc😂
I'd love to get it on console eventually! But the process will take months, if it's even possible at all.
Come join the dark side! 😂
I'm worried this is too op for the player? Can anyone confirm?
Not OP at all, it makes the game WAY more challenging.
Quite the opposite, it makes the game insanely hard lol
Hey there! I've put in a ton of measures to ensure that while the player is more powerful, the enemies are too. Balance is a huge priority for me when pushing updates. Most players tend to say it's more difficult than the base game.
Someone buy me a pc

If this is legit then I am categorically impressed 🤩
This is a great mod. But this is such a click bait video 🙄
How is it? The title and thumbnail are both pretty clear on exactly what the video is about lol
Simmer down
Wew, someone is grumpy, remember, its important to eat a healthy meal and exercise to be more happy. Also, people making mods such as these or even smaller scale one are 100% creator. They made something new to bring to life their vision. If it is not creation i have no idea what it is. Even if they use someone else base for their work.
