I've had this game for 2 years and i've been intimidated too much to play it. I only ever play solo and i'm normally good with heavy games but this one terrified me. This video was great for the set up and after watching it i will follow it and set up so that i can get it to the table this weekend. I'm now going to watch the next video and hopefully my courage wont fail me :)
Woohoo! I’ve heard this one is scary to get rolling with. Glad the videos help with that. I can tell you that once you get going you’ll enjoy it! Still their best game ever made to date.
Hey RB! That’s a tougher question to answer. I’d say it probably took about an hour or a bit over an hour. Mind you I knew the rules. If you’re learning I expect it to be longer. :)
Hey Moxnzl! For this I decided it would be better not to include it for learning purposes for the masses. However, at some other time I may be able to do a playthrough with expansions in! That would be a blast!
I've seen them in my local store, Stonemaier Games and a whole bunch of online board game stores carry them. The only tricky thing is that the game is extremely popular. So sometimes they're sold out. But you can be certain they will be re-stocked.
WOW. I thought Gloomhaven was overwhelming. I have steered clear of this because didn't know how it would solo. However,if you're playing it must be good. I'll have to watch intently.
Hey Eric! It really isn't as bad as it looks and once you get going there's a handful of tricky spots to get used to with the Automa. I'm not perfect, so I may slip up but the community here is awesome at catching things. This is a game that will never leave my collection. :)
@@RollingSolo hmm I'm fairly certain the FFG Tarot sleeves would fit pretty well with their 70 mm width, but are too long with 120mm, whereas the cards are 110mm
I believe that is what I used. I don’t have many large sleeves at all only the FFG Tarot sized. It was a super tight fit width wise but they worked fine!
Hi Adam, Really enjoying your content, thank you so much for the great videos. This may be a dumb question, but which sleeves are you using for Scythe? I am looking to purchase sleeves, but the sizes seem a bit odd? The sleeves you have look like perfect fits, though. Thank you, from a fellow solo board gamer.
The game is hard enough to learn, why did you make it more complex with playing with 3 instead of just 1 plus the AI…. Now I want to buy a second automa set. 😊
Ohh! Search for STM608 on Google. They’re available in online board game stores, FLGS and anywhere else. Shop around to get the best price. They aren’t hard to find and they look amazing!
Well done and a great start. I am looking forward to the upcoming playthrough and in particular, the details of using two automa.
Thanks Mr. Lively! Me too. This should be a fun one! :)

This will be a good series!
I like hearing that! Hope you enjoy it Hal! :D
One of my favorite games to solo!
Many people feel the same way as you! See you there ;)
Awesome game! Can't wait for the solo playthrough.
Totally agree. One of my favs and will never leave the collection!
Great job. Fast and easy instructions. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful Kirk! ;D
Looking forward to this one Adam, never played the game but it looks interesting.
Hey Trevor! Should be fun and will give you a good idea of how the solo plays out. See you then!
I am very excited about the playthrough because I have been on the fence for this game for about a year now :-)
Great work!
you must buy an extra one ! :)
Thanks for your response. I found out towards the end of the setup so I edited my message.
I’ve been on the fence as well. Looking forward to the play through
Well hopefully this helps out Eric! I'll see you during the series :)
Woohoo! Onwards to the playthrough we go!
OOOH. Thanks for the ScytheKick shout out. It is available now for Android as well as iOS.
Hey Tim! No problem. It's a great app. I bought the premium and the visual package. It's a helpful tool for sure. :D
Great set up tutorial
Thank you sir! ;)
Hi, I'm curious how long of a game is the solo portion. Thank you.
Hey RB! That’s a tougher question to answer. I’d say it probably took about an hour or a bit over an hour. Mind you I knew the rules. If you’re learning I expect it to be longer. :)
Nice work, will be good to see how it pans out. No wind gambit however ? :)

Where can you purchase another set of automa cards without buying the entire game again?
Soooo looking forward to the next episode

Rolling Solo thanks, will have to watch your playthroughs. Then make my decision. Your recommendation has a LOT of weight with me. Thanks again.👍
No problem! Happy to hear that Eric. Means a lot and I appreciate the support of the channel! Cheers
Very nice video, man. Say, which sleeves are you using for the larger cards? They seem to fit very well
I believe those are from FFG. I’d have to check to be 100% sure but they were. Super tight fit.

Where did you get sleeves for your cards?
Hey! That’s a good question. I usually use Mayday or FFG. Hope that helps!

I think I used Mayday for all of mine. What size...I don't know off hand but BGG would have the answer for sure!
Gebus, that was fast, cheers!
I will give the Mayday cards a look. Again, thank you, hope you and the family have a good one!
haha I like to stay on the ball with my community ;)
Any damage to the board from the metal tokens?
I haven't noticed any but I'm easy on it. I also grabbed the playmat for the game so that helps!
The game is hard enough to learn, why did you make it more complex with playing with 3 instead of just 1 plus the AI…. Now I want to buy a second automa set. 😊
I found two AI to be a great sweet spot once you have the rules down with one. Cheers! 😄
YESSSS iv been waiting for this :P i need help with it :P
No problem Zakk! I have you covered. See you in the playthrough!
Where did you get your upgrade kits from?
Hey! Which upgrade kits are you referring to? Just want to be sure I understand what you’re asking :)
For the resource tokens, sorry i should have specified! This game is a hit with my group and i would love to have tokens as awesome as yours

White all the way!
Traitor! haha
