I never got to eat there. My family moved north of Broward in the 70's. I didn't even know about until maybe 8 years ago while having a conversation with my mother about great businesses that shut down. The European flavor has definitely faded away in South Flavor. Inverary is totally done for, now.
I remember going there several times when my family visited from SC in the mid 70's. Beautiful place and I still remember the corn fritters. Too bad it is closed now.
@@Polarcupcheck It is amazing I still remember that. I was only about 10 at the time, so they must have made quite an impression. Most of my family that was there on that trip are gone now, but I still have great memories. My grandfather's twin brother lived in Dunedin and we visited every summer for a number of years. How many people remember a restaurant and even what was on the menu from over 50 years ago? It was magical to a young child. Thanks for posting.
@@Joe-ik1np One restaurant I remember was the Mai Kai in Ft Lauderdale. Went there for my birthday when I was like 3-4. They had the fire twirling, and I was served up a coconut cake, which I was not a fan of at the time. However, that cake remains my most memorable early childhood cake. In retrospect, I would do it all over, again. That cake looked cool and the taste fit the atmosphere.
This was our favourite childhood restaurant and grounds. Thank you for the memories.

I loved this place! Thank you.
It closed before I could go, but the rest of my family had been there or worked on it.

Wish I got to see it. You remind me, I don't think I ever made the corn fritter recipe, only the shrimp (which was pretty good)/
