Spoiler alert: It *WAS* Rona. I recorded an Epsiode whilst I had Rona.. that's dedication for you! haha BTW, there are no launch effects and that is deliberate, by design. I just don't talk about it in the Episode. They are not forgotten. They are deliberately left out.
I love when you do smaller scale rides, they look as amazing as the larger, insane ones but feel buildable for a less experienced player. These sorts of episodes are the most inspiring!
I always love your path interactions with coasters. You do a very nice job with them! That's one of my most exciting moments when going to theme parks. The roar of a coaster blasting past you.. nothing puts a bigger smile on your face!!
For the next coaster I think you should do the hyper as some sort of finale, as it looks like it will span a lot of the park, from that first drop and parabola, o do the family duelling coaster next. Also, bad luck, with Rona!
Love the lodge Chacho! And that view with the coaster above it! I do feel like its a miss opportunity without it having a 200 foot (60M) top hat but you did try and your reasoning against was sound. I would love to see the dueling coaster next. save the Hyper for later. I love how this park is coming together. You are inspiring me to get back into Planco myself. I am in the planning stages of do a new park similar how you do yours. I also want to try my hand at creating a video for it to share. I don't know when it will happen as I just started Horizon Forbidden West yesterday but it will happen at some point! Keep it going Chacho! I know you do Euro style parks because that's where you live, but maybe in the future you can do an American style park and talk about the contrasts and clashes.
I really did want the launched coaster to be smaller and understated, but I won't lie and pretend that I didn't at one point have a Kingda Ka topping height on a tophat that ran alongside the second lake around the back of the invert.. ;)
I love the views that you get in this park. That view of the wing coaster when looking at the entrance to the launch coaster is great! I also love all of the elevation changes as it gives me Dollywood vibes from that aspect. Great job and hope you are feeling better
@@Nerdchacho Lets hope I dont squeal..... Lol but I am sure I will take alot of screen shots for my planco inspiration one drive folder. I did alot the last two weeks.
Really good episode, thanks for making it whilst feeling rough! I’d like to see the duelling coasters next episode, maybe utilise the terrain with some tunnels, headchoppers and the feeling of not knowing where you are
End of the launch is where Stormrunner's (HersheyPark) is too. It's a common spot for it and this size/style is very similar except SR has the unique inversion and hits 72 mph. It was such a dream to operate too. Shame you can't do a split station like SR.
Yeah, there are only 2, that I know of, who's launch is not at the end.. It makes perfect sense for it to be there because of the pull on the cable and the fact that is has to hook around a winch hill etc - but not a lot is known about the ones where it isn't at the end and how they don't tare themselves apart..
@@Nerdchacho I don't know if this is easy to visualize and this is just speculation but I imagine there is a idler wheel at the end of the launch that has some sort of strong spring or compression system that can take a bit of the force from the cable. The launch dog would have to hit a buffer system before it gets to that idler wheel but after it hits the point where it would release the car. The coasters where the power plant is at the end of the launch have a system like that already but the cable isn't pulled as fast since it's only used for the return cycle of the launch dog, I don't see any reason why you couldn't put the power plant on the station side other than you would have to have a buffer and large strain compensation system at the other end of the launch instead of in the same building as the power plant.
@@Nerdchacho I tried to go find one of the ones you mentioned in the video Kanonen and found that it had been removed in 2016 to be moved to Lost Island Themepark here in the states and got renamed to Matugani, but there is no video or streetview that I can find on that park. edit: looks like it has not been reopened yet in its new location
I think I would actually vote for the dueling coasters. It would be a bit different as not sure if any of your other parks have one of those (i may be wrong though, haven't seen 100% of all of your builds yet). You could have a ton of fun with it too in terms of creativity. Hope you feel better!
Wow. Chacho actually pulled out the "one like equals one second that I'm better." Anyway, congratulations on making a more realistic looking Intamin Xcelerator than the real life ones.
@@Nerdchacho You're welcome. Also, thank you for always responding to my useless comments. It never ceases to amaze me how much you care about your community.
Chaco, Why does the hyper have like 12 row trains? Like if its supposed to be a staggerd hyper train then that makes sense but for a standard hyper the trains seem Super long?
This comment is the exact reason I don't like doing spoilers in an Ep - because you're already tearing something apart that isn't remotely started, let alone finished. Please stop doing that, it is frustrating and demoralising. So, firstly. It is a placeholder, designed to represent where it is going to go. No work has been done on it beyond that first lift hill; chill your beans. Secondly, it is 10 rows and Shambala says hi.
@@Tomneom the station length is staying that way. And so are the lengths of the train. Show me documentation that is different to mine which states that hyper trains can't be 10 rows long and I'll change it. (They can be 15, by the way).
Kanonen had its hydraulic motor under the station as the launch traversed directly over a river and access / space was very limited to have it in the conventional position at the end of the launch track.
Yeah, this was my case study coaster as it is also by the station in its new location too.. but I couldn't find any engineering stuff to support how it is capable of doing that when traditionally it is usually pulled gmgrom the end of the track..
I really hope for PC2 they manage to optimise the game a little better so that it doesn't struggle so much when you fill the park up. In response to the game slowing the coaster down comment.
The conversation about "optimisation" isn't as clear cut as "make it better" - especially in open end world building games and TBH the argument that Planco is badly optimised is as tiring and played out as the conversation about Atari being cash grabbing bandits.. But one thing i don't miss from the RCT3 days that suffered the same issues is that rather than slowing down it reduced FPS; resulting in a 4fps slideshow rather than a resemblance of some sort of animation. I'll take slow over slideshow anyday.
@@Nerdchacho Well my problem is I tend to get both and I do have a pretty powerful PC. I think we builders tend to go into way more detail than Frontier had imagined. I do love the game but I do have to limit the size of my parks quite a bit if I want to go in depth.

I prefer low to the ground smaller coasters they are some of my favorites and this is no exception great layout fun ride and amazing scenery as always
I'm inclined to agree.. any-one can build big and wild, but building within the confines of a limit is, in my opinion, so much harder!
