Nobody wants to comment on Simon Phillips's performance? He's playing Drums like a monster without forgetting the great Jeff Porcaro , Simon has a Fantastic Style, he can creates a marvelous groove in each song of Toto !
I've seen Zeppelin, Purple, Queen, Santana, Tull, but never TOTO. Seems to me like they would have been number 1, just from watching this live performance. Maestros and Virtuosos - 6 of them right there in front of you. Unique........ the songs are superb too
Find me a band today in "pop" music that can play like this. I know there are amazing bands, and players that you never hear, but these boys were right in front of us most of our lives.
Was really lucky to see them live about 5 years ago. I remember they opened the concert with "Only the Children". I got goose bumps on top of goose bumps. The audience was so receptive that the band just fed off the energy. They are amazing.
This band. THIS FREAKING AMAZING GROUP IS SO UNDERRATED AND UNDERAPPRECIATED MAN ❤️❤️ I seriously rate them above the great Led Zep or Pink Floyd. Much love to them 🔥❤️
There are a whole bunch of under-rated Toto's songs if we look and think about live performing of specified songs....listen this, please th-cam.com/video/ReUboHhhHU8/w-d-xo.html
Caught them in March 2023, Steve still plays guitar better than ANYONE in the business and the band is so freakin tight. Missing lots of Porcaros but man what a show. Toto is one of the best bands to do it live!
Sklar has said that he was pumped to play with these guys, but it was bitter-sweet because he was, in effect, stepping into Mike Porcaro's shoes. That awesome bassline is Mike's creation. Also, when you realize that the only original members of Toto on stage are Kimball and Lukather, it says something about the group that lasts this long, and plays with substitutes, but sounds like nothing has changed in years.
What a musician ! These guys are fantastic. I do remember this great moment in 2007 ! Thank you all men, but too hard to wait European Tour in 2015 !!!
An immensely talented and underrated band! This song rocks & Leland nails the infectious bass line on this track. Bobby's vocals are powerful - especially with his infamous ending. Tony's and Greg's voice blend well here. And Luke is awesome as always!
you know why toto hat become so big it is only because of the Strong voice and vocal from Bobby kimball and nobody will ever sing like him love from Mik Roy from Denmark
Stop with the auto tune comments! Enjoy it. If you listen to the studio recording, they used it as an effect on the verses. The rest of the show is tuned back just to correct pitch at times. If you dig enough you can find live recordings without it and they sound great
When Simon's playing during the final riff (7:50) I thought the drumstick would fly out of his left hand XD Nevertheless, phenomenal performance. Bobby's chorus just makes it better than the studio version, I don't mind the autotune.
Sumair Bawa it’s crazy how much they fixed it for the CD release though if you listen to the live recording without after editing th-cam.com/video/649VM3sy7ek/w-d-xo.html Good thing for Bobby they did it though. Love him and his voice but you could very much hear his age and the consequences of his Cocaine addiction in the 80s in 2007
@@Baggervr Steve Lukather closed the operation because there was not original members there anymore after Mike P got ill plus Bobby could not sing. It's in his book.
I don't know - I actually preferred the live version of "Gift With a Golden Gun" (coincidentally that live album was probably recorded with you in attendance!)
As we can't have Mike Porcaro as the bassist of Toto anymore, I wouldn't mind seeing "Gandalf" on his place in today's Toto. Though he is rather old by now...
Steve Lukather saying "No, no, not yet!" to Greg Phillinganes going the crescendo too fast reminds me of Paul McCartney saying the same thing to George Harrison bending down too fast in the movie "Let It Be".
Great performance. Top quality effort from all the musicians. Toto is an amazing band no matter the various incarnations. I think "Drag Him To The Roof" is one of my favorite tracks on the Tambu album. On a side note....it is a travesty that Toto is NOT in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
ปีที่แล้ว +1
Toto IS Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame ;) :D Cheers amigo
what a great performance and musicians,; simom is incredible beat drummer. the end of the song for me is the best part exacly when the drummer is playing on his left china cymbal ; last 24 bars
Nobody wants to comment on Simon Phillips's performance? He's playing Drums like a monster without forgetting the great Jeff Porcaro , Simon has a Fantastic Style, he can creates a marvelous groove in each song of Toto !
Agree, Simon Phillips is my all time favorite drummer. The drumming of this whole concert is outstanding and thought-out!
Such precision in his drumming, eh bro?!
Alessandro Ferrarini z
Simon's drumming doesn't need commenting, it speaks for itself. If you have problems with his drumming, you are either deaf, dumb or jealous.
@@universalmeditation8631 , I agree but Simon is just more than an engineer. He is a world class producer too!
Simon Phillips is the best drummer I have ever heard.
Bobby Kimball - lead and backing vocals
Steve Lukather - guitars, backing vocals,
Greg Phillinganes - keyboards, backing vocals,
Simon Phillips - drums, percussion
Tony Spinner - guitars, backing vocals,
Leland Sklar - bass
Maybe not the most "authentic Toto" lineup, but still a group of world-class musicians layin' it down like very few can. Amazing.
Well, it's the most talented lineup for sure.....imo
Yeah well if you're talking about an authentic toto lineup, i assume we all know THAT'S not possible ehh? Glad we have what we have. Right?
One of the greatest live bands.Hands down.
Yup!
I've seen Zeppelin, Purple, Queen, Santana, Tull, but never TOTO. Seems to me like they would have been number 1, just from watching this live performance. Maestros and Virtuosos - 6 of them right there in front of you. Unique........ the songs are superb too
Yes, virtuosos all!
Totally agree
Few bands can even come close to Toto live. Possibly the best collection of music artists ever recorded
Leland Sklar amazing bass licks !
Taking nothing away from Joseph Williams but Bobby Kimball was the voice of Toto and one of my all time favorite vocalist.
I agree Bobby was the best, so soulful and powerful, he was ToTo
yep
I think this was one of the best line-ups that they had.
Steve is soo good , unbelieveble!!
Simon and Father Time together are worth a listen no matter who they're playing for.
My number 1 favorite Toto concert.
Find me a band today in "pop" music that can play like this. I know there are amazing bands, and players that you never hear, but these boys were right in front of us most of our lives.
Simon is unbelievable, still the best drummer i've ever known
my favorite band of all times..
mee to
Damn these guys sound good. This is what can happen when musicians of this caliber make it work. Thanks fellaz.
Leland Sklar is one of my favorite bassists ever! His tone is wicked here!
❤
And I believe he was a last-minute stand-in for Mike Porcaro, who had hurt his hand. Legendary talent!
The drumming on this is just so beautifull and intricate
Bobby rocks and sings perfectly on this song 🔥🔥🔥
seen them several times but Bobby, Tony and Simon nailed it...... and God on bass!!!! Thank you
Amazing Bass riff by Leland ! It just growls !
What a bass, and player itself.
yay...tony spinner from Jonesboro, AR. great job touring with Toto.
the best live band ever, they really can play in live situation
Was really lucky to see them live about 5 years ago. I remember they opened the concert with "Only the Children". I got goose bumps on top of goose bumps. The audience was so receptive that the band just fed off the energy. They are amazing.
This band. THIS FREAKING AMAZING GROUP IS SO UNDERRATED AND UNDERAPPRECIATED MAN ❤️❤️ I seriously rate them above the great Led Zep or Pink Floyd. Much love to them 🔥❤️
They’re truly masters
Leland Sklar is like a rock.
Yet another underrated song by Toto
Under-rated by the band too, they never do this one (I guess I should say rarely).
There are a whole bunch of under-rated Toto's songs if we look and think about live performing of specified songs....listen this, please th-cam.com/video/ReUboHhhHU8/w-d-xo.html
Tambu is a really great album
Caught them in March 2023, Steve still plays guitar better than ANYONE in the business and the band is so freakin tight. Missing lots of Porcaros but man what a show. Toto is one of the best bands to do it live!

Kimball is unbelievable in this. Brilliant voice.
I have this DVD... Really a Masterpiece. I have Live in Poland also and 40 trips around the sun. Stunning dvd
I have no words. This is the most catchy music i have ever heard. Bobbys voice is so energic and joyfull! So much warmth in this bandsound!!
Randal Love I like Bobby and Joe but Bobby is done his voice is super strained listen to him perform Africa
Yes I do, Simon Phillips was a true asset to the band when he joined them. He is one of the best drummers I have seen (as well as Jeff).
I'm so thankful this concert was recorded because ya'll were on white hot FIRE !!!
Just when i think I've heard the complete depth of this band, I come across this.
Fantastic. First pick.
Amazing band...🥰😍
what a drummer.
Just saw Toto 2018 - Ceasars Casino Windsor ON. best show in years!!!! Lukather is guitar God! Toto totally rocks!!!!
Without a doubt bar none these guys are some of the most outstanding players I have ever seen.
Simon Phillips is my favorite drummer, growing up with one, he's a Beast for sure , love his on band,
Esta banda es y lo será eterna, por su buen hacer y saber hacer música en toda la extensión de la palabra música!!!!!!!
coz a lot of people don't know what good music is. This one of their best songs post Jeff.
Das sind die Lieder, die niemand besser als Kimball singen konnte
Toto live brilliance - an all time classic live album from one the best bands in our life time
This is an amazing performance oh my gosh tight
Leland had all of 2 weeks to prepare for this concert.... amazing.
Actually I had 5 days…
Best lineup!
Simon Philips in the Master Zone ! Just incredible !!!
What a musician ! These guys are fantastic. I do remember this great moment in 2007 ! Thank you all men, but too hard to wait European Tour in 2015 !!!
the best steve luckater

Right on comments🎶
Huge fan here, however bobbys vocals aren’t powerfull at all. Just autotune 😔
What an incredible live mix! The drum sound amazing, the overall on this was so sweet!
いつ観ても、すばらしい動画ありがとうございます。
Fantastic. Without plastic. 😊.
you know why toto hat
become so big
it is only because of the Strong voice and vocal from Bobby kimball and nobody will ever sing like him love from Mik Roy from Denmark
Outstanding live music!
Simon!!! Getting it DONE!!!

Leland looks like a figure from The Lord of Rings...and magic flows from his fingers into the bass.
When Simon's playing during the final riff (7:50) I thought the drumstick would fly out of his left hand XD
Nevertheless, phenomenal performance. Bobby's chorus just makes it better than the studio version, I don't mind the autotune.

Good thing for Bobby they did it though. Love him and his voice but you could very much hear his age and the consequences of his Cocaine addiction in the 80s in 2007
I mind the damn autotune because his lead vocals was on sync track all 2008 before the band broke up because he could not sing his parts.
@@peevee605 the band broke up because their original band members left so they had no guide
@@Baggervr Steve Lukather closed the operation because there was not original members there anymore after Mike P got ill plus Bobby could not sing. It's in his book.
❤❤❤ I feel being blessed
La mejor banda de rock sinfónico sin ninguna duda TOTO
Simplemente magnífico!!!
Lee Sklar absolutely killing it.❤
JEEBUS! Bravo Paris in 2007!!!! BRAVO TOTO!!!!!!!!
Best song of Toto
bobbys scream in the end
This is music right here, I m enjoying this thoroughly

YOU SHALL NOT BASS!
🤣🤣🤣🇮🇱🇮🇱
Amazing!!!!!
Creme de la crème on every position.....The Best!
Toto never sounded better!!
Beautiful song, great, awesome!!
Heard them in Amsterdam few years ago. Like you put on a CD, absolutely amazing performance.
I don't know - I actually preferred the live version of "Gift With a Golden Gun" (coincidentally that live album was probably recorded with you in attendance!)
Merci du partage, cette chanson est excellentissime!!!
Absolutely incredible!
That is a big thumbs up👍
The Best!!!!!
awesome !!!
Such a perfect riff!
Du rêve ,j adore depuis très très longtemps 😍
Du pur toto !!!! Comme on aime !!! 👍👏
Just... WOW
Gandalf rocks!
As we can't have Mike Porcaro as the bassist of Toto anymore, I wouldn't mind seeing "Gandalf" on his place in today's Toto. Though he is rather old by now...
Oh man, you killed me... I wasn’t sure to understand your comment until BOOM I took it right in the face... almost threw up so much I laughed 👏 thanks
LELAND SKLAR !
..... and one of their greatest songs.....
Como puede ser que este tema sólo tenga 1000 likes?!!!
That song fukin rocks !
Simon is an unbelivable drummer ! That right there is the Best of the Best ! 👍👍👍❤️
Fantásticos la mejor banda excelente
Una band unica...inimitabile Ttoto ...forever
Leland Sklar - what a Bass player!
Steve Lukather saying "No, no, not yet!" to Greg Phillinganes going the crescendo too fast reminds me of Paul McCartney saying the same thing to George Harrison bending down too fast in the movie "Let It Be".
Not too shabby

alone night tored into a thousand stars.
La mejor banda del mundo
Simon’s great groove
what a great performance and musicians,; simom is incredible beat drummer. the end of the song for me is the best part exacly when the drummer is playing on his left china cymbal ; last 24 bars
I prefer this version than the studio one, because of the vocals.
I agree...you have to wonder if Bobby would have been with the band when they recorded this, he probably would have sang the parts.
